  • Tips for diagnosing and fixing leaks on most common makes and models of Swing Arm Clicker Presses. Similar brands of machine include:
    Atom (Manufacturer's Supplies Co)
    Hudson
    CJRTec
    Associated Pacific Machine Corp
    Many Chinese brands that use a similar construction.
    Swing Arm Clicker Presses put downward pressure on either single or multiple layers of material. This function together with the use of a steel rule die will cut predictable and highly repeatable patterns out of fabric, rubber, foam, nonwovens, leather, and many other non-metal substrates.
    Products commonly cut on Swing Arm Clicker Presses include shoes, accessories, clothing, gaskets, paper-boxes, upholstery, abrasives, leather goods, insulation, vinyl stickers, paper goods, and much more.
    Clicker Presses are popular because of the versatility offered by the “swing away” design of the arm and intuitive operational controls.

    If there is a leak from the front side of the motor, well, what can be done, how can it be solved, can the leak be stopped?

      At this point, the tank will need to be drained, the entire motor and flywheel will need to be removed and the pump will have to be detached to remove the plate that separates the two chamber and it will need to be resealed with a silicone sealant. The area will need to be cleaned well with acetone or mineral spirits to ensure the sealant properly bonds.

      Pressure is normally controlled through a daylight adjuster or wheel (macro-adjustment) and a potentiometer or timer on the face of the head (micro adjustment). If you need any more information please call our service department. 801-613-7997. Thanks!

      Hi Amrithraj, there could be a few different reason this could happen.
      If you are just hooking up the machine, the first most obvious step it to check the oil level and insure that the oil covers the intake filter properly.
      If the machine was just hooked up, it is common for customers to have the polarity of the machine wrong (the motor will be spinning against the direction of the indicator arrow), and the frequently causes the head not to raise on first startup. You'll also see bubbles being blown in the oil if the polarity is wrong. To resolve, simply switch two legs of the incoming power supply.
      It could be a bad pressure sensor (if you are in the pressure based cutting mode), which may cause inconsistent cutting results. This just needs to switched out for a good pressure sensor.
      It could also be a bad potentiometer or timer dial, causing inconsistent results for resistance. Again, this would just need to be switched for a new potentiometer or dial.
      There is also a cable attached via a pulley in the head to the solenoid block to close the solenoid valve at the set rising height. If this comes loose, sometime this causes issues with rising height, then also cutting depth because it is not cutting from the same, consistent origin point (If it is in a time-based cutting mode).
      The last common problem is a bad PCB board where burned capacitors, fuses, or circuits are often the cause. For this- same thing applies, just swap it for a new one or send it to a PCB repair shop.

      The issue was lose connection. 2 pin in the electronic board was connected with a cap connector. When the machine was working..due to vibration the connection got removed. 😀

    Which Model is this , Head size ?

    • @HammerheadMachinery
      @HammerheadMachinery  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a 30 Ton Swing Arm. The head size is 24" x 24" but the depth is limited by the table depth. So overall, your maximum die size would be approximately 24" wide by 19.5" deep. Thanks!

    Alot of the excuses for leaking oil is ridiculous. All of the reasons for a leak are not the root cause. Seriously terrible.

    • @HammerheadMachinery
      @HammerheadMachinery  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure if I understand the feedback. This video just addresses the most common reasons (based on a catalogued 5+ years of service calls) why oil most often ends up leaking onto the floor, from what should be a sealed oil chamber. There is no "root cause" as I believe you are defining it is this case, because nothing is malfunctioning. The oil chamber just isn't properly sealed in most cases. There are reasons that a machine can leak due to actual malfunction, but those are not the topic of this video. If you need help addressing a leak caused by malfunction, feel free to reach out to our service department, they'd be happy to help: service@hammerheadindustrial.com.
