- We are redeveloping the abandoned Hornsby Quarry and adjacent Old Mans Valley, approximately 1km west of the Hornsby town centre, and transforming the site into a unique destination, where the magnificent bush, dramatic quarry walls and the lake will take centre stage. The area features approximately 60 hectares of bushland and open space and is home to several features of Aboriginal significance, historical and community interest, including the Hornsby Diatreme Area, early settler relics, the State Heritage listed Old Mans Valley (Higgins Family) Cemetery and remnant buildings of the quarry crusher plant.
The Hornsby Park Master Plan was adopted by Council in 2021. This video provides a recent view of the progress of the civil works that started later that year and are expected to be completed in late 2024 with public access to the extensive site expected in 2025.
So when will this finally be finished considering the idea was put to Hornsby Councel in 2003 (i was a witness to the meetings)
its the government doing it right? When do you expect the government to do what it promised? BTW George W Bush promised to fix the border 20 years ago
China is involved with this development, have seen them down there surveying the site on several occasions....
