    I can see adding LEDs and night flying with this one. Woo Hoo!

    The tendency to relate all new craft to beginners tells me this hobby has a higher turnover than we would ideally want to se. I flew my first RC planes in the seventies, but I can still enjoy a good slow stick, and would love to make this my 134th model. So keep it up!

    Part of the fun of the good ol' GWS Slow Stick was the floatability for days. And that thing could carry a payload! I still have 3 of them NIB but I'm probably going to pull the trigger on this E-flite just because I know how fun it will be. Kinda like the Sport Utility of BNF aircraft.

    That reminds me of the old slow stick, just a simple,lightweight,fun to fly airplane. Lots of folks learned to fly with those and have great memories of it. I used one to train my brother and loved flying it. I think I will get one.

    just got the email ad about this plane, it looks like a real relaxing flyer, something I could use after yesterdays disaster, Flying my Trex500 helicopter at 3/4 throttle and suddenly the throttle stick on the transmitter fell off..! Well I guess I don't have to tell you how that ended and what a heart attack feels like..lol Nice Plane Ryan 👍

    I like it. Im that low and slow putt around pilot. I hate to be that guy, but I thank it’s a little bit on the pricey side. I mean, not give away pricing but the buck fifty range. I don't know I'm just on the fence.

    So many inexpensive upgrades to do with this thing. Get a second wing and trim it for crazy wind days. Slightly upgrade the motor for unlimited vertical. Timber wheels and the Flaperon setting for Bush Plane flying. Just a simple, inexpensive, fun airplane to fly. It'll be my next one. Great video Buddy.

    Ok you ask for it😂. From a man who has watched all over your flight videos , I will give you My story on the pilot Ryan indoctrination and the beginning of my foam addiction. I became interested in RC from my father who was a carrier Air Force man. He brought home to me several cox control line planes, after building several stick balsa models and on and on our love of air craft and each other was set in stone.time . Life happened, I lost my best friend my father . adopted by my aunt and uncle time went on . I was on my grind Wife kids and I did not fly for 35 years . A buddy of mine ,we worked together convinced me to give it a try again an. I went on you tube and looked around after seeing several different channels that were geared toward kids or old guys with 20 k planes . I came across your channel a blue collar guy like me,who was full of passion ,energetic serious about what he was doing and had a real love for aviation, and model air craft was it and he was eager to share. At this point I had only seen one other channel like yours. Then I found the pilots lounge. The thing that kept me around was that you engaged with your viewers you took time to answer questions and you acted like everyone was important. You was god , family country and a guy who could take a dirty joke type. You was real not some bull shit persona. I loved your videos of the p 38. And the raffle are some of my favorites with shots of the air craft from all angles. But the main thing was your passion and interaction with people you took the time to interact with your viewers. Unlike some of these you tube videos, where you feel like your watching a commercial . During the pandemic waiting for your show on Saturday night was the high light of the week. You have lifted my spirts during this time for sure and the people I have met through your show is unbelievable friends I didn’t know I had . This one you tube show has become a part of my life for sure and when I think about it , it’s crazy how so. Ryan you have know idea I don’t even understand it myself but you are a tru influencer in ways you don’t even understand or know of I am sure. It’s been a long time now many years that I have been watching and listening to you and I drove 4 hours out of my way to watch you fly, and meet you at Muncy. wish I had my planes with me so we could have flown together, maybe one day in the future . And I am not the kinda guy to do that not even for the pope😂

    When I saw this, my 1st thought was that this would make a great trainer, if not a great 2nd plane and tail dragger trainer.
    I got the kid a Sport Cub for his 1st, but it’s too small. This with the AeroScout seem like much better options so he doesn’t get too bored.
    Thanks for confirming!! Catch you on the Live tonight.

    Mine arrived yesterday, I haven’t flown in about 14 years but my GWS/geared/ brushless/3cell was the go to when I just wanted to enjoy 30 minute slow flights. The kit went together in about 15 minutes without issues. Realized I don’t have a BNF transmitter so I’ll trade out the receiver and go old school 72mhz. Until I see how hard the R/C bug bites this time.

  • @Reindeer911
    @Reindeer911 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why wouldn't this make a good first airplane? It flies slow, lands slow, has a large hershey bar shaped high wing with dihedral, big tires, very simple design and probably pretty rugged. It also is quite a bit cheaper than what Horizon wants for for the Apprentice.

    • @PilotRyanMedia
      @PilotRyanMedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Compared to the Apprentice and the aeroscout this one has a heavier wingloading. For some it can be a fine trainer

    Sorry but that thing looks like a miss match up of parts of other planes. I could make one that looks better using crash parts from other planes and actually have. No way I would spend good money on that.

    • @francisconti9085
      @francisconti9085 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Spend good money on sexy planes, anything that flys doesn't need to look good to fly...but when something LOOKS like its screaming standing still, rather than looking like a hammer..golf cart or Ferrari..lol😉👍
