If you can't get the TC up before the opponent knights are there, then you need spearmen to defend your villagers. If you have spearmen and he still commits to killing villagers, try to get a surround in the knight. Losing 1 villager to kill a knight is a good trade, if you lose 2 it's more or less even.

TC on 4 and production on 5 seems fine to me. I assume you're using 1-2-3 for army and the rest for universities and so on. That seems reasonable, I use something similar (1-3 units, 4-6 production, 7 TCs, 8-0 upgrades)

segun hiciste el 2 tc, dijiste ram push y nunca hubo ni un solo ram en la partida. muy limpia la partida GG

Well since now you can't bring them to TC, but have to kill em in place, it significantly lowers your scouting pace and consumes more APM :)
