Thank you for the update! Have you tried updating the firmware of the original unit to check if it makes any difference? I mean, has this been fixed in firmware or is the new "fixed" radio a newer hardware revision?
I need to find a local ham with a tiny/nano/etc VNA and test mine. Is there any way to tell other than that to see what version I might have? Model number in battery area? 73!
Thanks for making the effort but this is not a valid test. You never test a radio sent to you by the manufacturer or its agent. Go buy your own off the shelf. They may have tweeked a radio just for you.
We’ll, I can totally see your point. But if all these Chinese manufacturers relied on the reviewers to buy the multitudes of radios they produce there would be very few reviews. Personally, I save my money for the 2-3 serious contenders per year.
Thanks for the update video Sir. Much appreciated.
Love the laugh track. 👍

Have you thought about doing anything on the anytone radio
I did a review several years back. Maybe I’ll revisit that radio.
So, I just bought the A36+ on Amazon. When I key up the A side, it says A TX, and B TX on the B side. Does that mean I have the new version?
I couldn’t say for sure but it’s a good indicator.
@@K6UDA Thank you. It seems like it was shipped with the latest firmware version, which is a good sign. I am really liking this radio!
Much better than the 1st version and I like the clear case. Thanks for the update. Take care and 73 Vic de KE8JWE

Did you buy it within the past two months? I think that’s about the time they announced the new one.
A@@K6UDA Nope. Didn't buy it. they sent it to me. A green one. Received it early October.
