- Controversial On-Air-Personality Daddy Freeze has flayed church leaders for impoverishing Nigerians in an interview he granted SaharaTV. He called out churches which had received stolen funds to return those funds in order to gain restitution.
The few minutes I have listened to Daddy Freeze is more than all the sermons I have heard these pastors preach. Daddy Freeze you are indeed a man of God. One love.

There’s no doubt that everything’s daddy freeze said was the truth, the day I stopped going to Adeboye’s crusade here in london was about 5yrs ago when he claimed ownership of the university that was built with tax payers money, since then I knew ego has set in. Initially. A lot of people ignorantly bought into it because of his gentility in nature. My question to daddy freeze is, how can we be contributing money periodically so that we can build a university and health care centre so that the poor people can afford to go or alternatively, they pay back the school fees after they must have graduated and started working. It’s obvious that the school can’t be free but definitely going to be affordable to the poorest in the country and daddy freeze will be managing the school. We just got to start from somewhere just like the way the disappointed churches were scrambling for partition in early 80’s.

Every time I read the new testament, especially the book of Galatians, I wondered how the so-called doctrine of money making came into the church. It is a shame that many who preach the bible are very subjective in interpreting the bible. Most times, bible references are quoted out of context. Some Nigeria church leaders have been deified, GOs are now above God, most never show Jesus to their members. John the Baptist said, Jesus must increase and he decreases before the people but this is not the case here. It is only in Nigeria that, is either a church is right deep in the world or guarded with so many rules to at least have a form of decency called holiness. I am praying God bring down revival to this nation- men are sinking deep in sin but churches are proliferating.
Some of these Pastors are even untouchable, you cannot ask them questions, you must believe and accept everything they say but in Paul's time as mighty as he was the Bereans could challenge his teachings and he gladly listen to them.
If you are reading, this, please know that Jesus is the WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE - you don't have to panic before any men, avoid sin openly and secretly, read the bible and ask the HOLY SPIRIT for help. Respect your pastors but don't turn them to God. and if you have been in the church for 2years and you still need Pastor to pray for this and that them something is wrong with you. God has no grandchildren we are all co-heirs with Jesus, God is our father.

God prophets has always been the people controlling kings and government officials from the beginning, they tell the kings and government what to do, right from the time of Moses, Samuel, Nehemiah, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah e.t.c. Even the religious leaders in the time of Jesus, the Pharisees influenced the government of that time to kill Jesus even when the government found Him guiltless. The Catholic controls the early European government even till date, they are still very much influential currently in most decisions of European government. Today the reverse is the case in Nigeria and Africa, our religious leaders don´t and can´t control the government because they are afraid of losing their wealth, they care more about prosperity and not the truth. Practicing gullibility in the frail society that´s already contaminated as a result of huge amount of poverty. They have all took advantage of this situation to brainwash the people more and more everyday in the name of sowing to get rich and not working hard to get rich, churches every corners like kiosk whilst crime rate, immoralities, poverty, diseases, insecurity, rituals, occultism e.t.c escalating... my dad has brought us in the exact way daddy freeze says. sharing with the poor end of every year and every friday we give them something small according to what we have. we can even fail to eat meat on friday to make sure the poor have something.
My dad is a catholic and been raised as a catholic but I dont go to church any more. I share and pray with colleges and family members and share scriptures coz when 2 are gathered God is there.

I am in agreement with most of all daddy freeze is saying. I have been disappointed by church leaders many times. However I want the message to be balanced. I believe that when you say paying tithe puts you under a curse, that is going to another extreme. Jesus said in Luke 11: 42 “But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” My understanding of this scripture is that you ought to pay tithe but do not overlook judgment and the love of God. If you attend a church that takes care of the poor and needy, that does a lot of charity I believe it is not wrong to pay your tithe there, but the pressure being put on the people and the different types of offering collected by these Nigerian churches is where the problem lays. I attend a church here in the US called hope city. They do a lot of missions, before a crisis hits, they are all out helping people rebuilding houses etc. I feel good paying my tithe there because I believe I’m a part of the great work. But there is never any pressure on anybody to give, giving is not a whole day’s sermon. But buying planes and living large that the Nigerian pastors are doing is a big problem. They have developed great appetite for money and it is insatiable. There children and wards are on social media loosing their minds. Doing worldly things, that is a no no. May God strengthen this move by Daddy Freeze and Dr. Sunday Adelaja. Nigeria can use a change, it will do the country a great good when Christianity replaces religion. I’m all in.
Why do you need to give your tithe to a church to do charity for you? Can't you do it for yourself? Must you go through a church? Giving and paying tithe are 2 different things. Giving is voluntary as any amount. Tithing on the other hand is preached as being compulsory 10% of a Christians income..
