The comment you made about “the devs don’t play their own game” and I could not agree more. My buddy and I have said the same thing. We have been playing since launch and almost every update tells me they either like to purposely troll/frustrate their player-base or just don’t care. Best way to explain that would be everyone complaining about weapon nerfs, then the developers say “use your stratagems.” While numerous major orders on planets had 1 reduced stratagem slot, ion storms that prevent you from using your stratagems, 50% increase in cooldown and plotting. It’s like, you serious? Lastly, the recent weapon buffs were so overrated (There, I said it, because it is the truth).
I think they test the items in either a controlled environment that isn't the same patch as the one we're playing, or they never test items on difficulty above 5. The recent buffs were ok, but if they want praise, they should have done this 3 months ago.
Really felt like they had buffed the accuracy on all of the bots. The gunship patrols were fun at first, but got real old real fast to run the autocannon and scorcher combo just to take them out.
Yeah I'm not sure what they are doing exactly. They said they would revert patrol spawns, but they obviously didn't. They said they wanted to buff stratagems to allow for more diverse loadouts, but then they add gunship patrols that require specific strats/weapons to take them out. I think overall the patch was decent, but these changes to automatons tells me the Devs don't play their own game.
The accuracy is crazy. If you're not careful, the small striders can kill you in just a few frames with heavy armor.
@@Not_Harvardalso the anti tank spam on bug is forcing meta builds. If you play d5/6 you are probably happy as a clam but 7/8/9 is tedious at times with the patrol spam, heavy devs on bots and then 2 chargers and 4 bohemouths on you on bugs 🙄 . Really craving duck hunt at this point.

Ahh thanks for confirming the buff. They seemed deadly accurate now. Those gun devastators were taking me out in under a second with heavy armor and vitality enhancement

last time I checked, there were 549 people on automatons and 40k players on terminids. I wonder why xD

Always funny to read peoples comments and posts about how everything is fine, patrols are fine, while simultaneously saying devs don't play their game, when it's clear as day YOU don't play the game. Sure it's more fun to blast more mobs, however when you are stuck at one objective with endless enemies surrounding you although every shot is accurate, every stratagem is used, and you are calling your second supply, it starts getting annoying. I won't even bother mentioning all the extra bugs this patch... anyone who actually plays have seen them, feel them, and know the levels of annoyance.
I honestly wonder if saying the "patrols were reverted" was more an attempt at a placebo effect to see how people react. Or it's just bugged like many other things, as per usual.
I don't think they touched patrol spawn rate for automatons. And the Devs definitely don't test their changes before releasing them. The throwing knife crosshair is proof enough of that. If they're okay releasing that as a finished product, it's embarrassing.
And folks are praising the patch but I think many that do are d5/6 players which is cool. But balancing still doesn’t feel correct on 7/8/9(9) especially on both bug and bot side.
@@Not_Harvard Have you seen the giant purple question marks on some maps? They definitely don't test anything. I agree with Zetsuei13 that they've added too many enemies. You need moments of rest or it's just a slog getting through them all only to see there are 5 more patrols and 5 more drop ships and 4 gunships and maybe if you're lucky you've got 1 or 2 of the walking fabricator thingy's (I always forget the names of stuff).
The rocket sentry is really useful now. Probably a good thing we get 4 strategems slots
I'll have to give it a shot. The main issue I have with any type of sentry is that they tend to always die extremely fast. I haven't messed with them as much since recent buffs, so maybe I can give them another shot.

I'm not a huge fan of the gunship patrols. They're currently able to spawn right on top of you which is a bug, and they also limit the stratagems you're able to take because you need something that can reliably take them out. They also haven't reverted patrol spawn rate so idk why they were acting like it would be part of this patch.
Not to be that guy but any plans on a Terminid run anytime soon? I think your last one was when spawns were changed last patch
I might do one soon. Might be my last vid before Elden Ring DLC drops and I switch over to that for a bit.
You should watch some Sarge to learn some more. You don't engage every mob like you do. You do well but you'd do even better if you chose your fights better.
I don't enjoy stealth so I don't play like he does.

They aren't boring, but I get really tired of the crosshair being so fkin bad.

I wouldn't call bots ridiculous. They're definitely a lot better than pre patch and the gunship patrols are a nice added challenge imo
What do you mean they're better than pre patch? They didn't change patrol spawn rate and added gunships. They also didn't fix a lot of the bugs that made automatons so annoying to begin with.
@@Not_Harvard What bugs? Like the way they can shoot in a direction they're not looking, so they can shoot you while hiding their head from view? That's a fun one! ;)
Patrols felt fine for me. They can spawn in new places on the map though. Them being able to shoot sideways is an annoying bug but too difficult to handle. The gunship patrols are just fun. I think it's better than pre patch, you can think otherwise, but I still wouldn't say it's ridiculous
@@2iqplays I can almost guarantee you that they didn't touch patrol spawn rate. Gunships would be fine, but the bug that allows them to spawn right on top of your location is really annoying. I still can't shoot over corpses of bots. I get shot through walls all the time. My vision goes above the map when I get ragdolled. And a bunch of other small bugs that they still haven't fixed since DAY 1. This patch might be in the right direction, but it's still disappointing.
@@Not_Harvard maybe they didn't touch the patrols, but when I'm playing I'm not noticing nearly as many as before. And yes the bugs are annoying, but they're all manageable. You're entitled to ur own opinion, but I don't think it's that bad
I dont get all these Helldivers vids. These kids actually believe their doing something dont they, facing off against a bunch of Bots.
