I love listening to the Barb - Kaizo Historian stuff for each hack.
I've been loving this circuit of classic hacks on the channel lately. Great stuff. Pretty nostalgic at this point too.
I hope we get an upload that's just ten hours of the Casio Mario water level and that quick transition from irritation to anger to hopelessness.

@@XxDemon23xX What are you on about? Casio and Dram are two different hacks. Barb recently spent several hours on stream trying to beat one level in Casio and I'm hoping that his TH-cam fans also get a taste of that classic hack.
@@hiveimperious I'm very aware they aren't the same hack. I've been watching people play through SMW rom hacks since 2008 tyvm. I though Casio was a horrible misspelling of Kaizo. I had no idea Casio Mario was thing. My bad.
@@XxDemon23xX I just have 1 question. A very simple one, really. If you had no idea Casio Mario was a thing, how can it be that you were "very aware" Casio and Dram weren't the same hack?
Actually, come to think of it, I also have a second question: might it be a good idea to Google hack titles you are unfamiliar with *before* responding to a comment next time?
You know that Kaizo block he hits at 5:43? Barb mentions that it got him during his first playthrough, and you can actually see that! It's one of the earliest videos on this channel, called "this is a thing that happened to me" from 5.5 years ago. VERY worth the watch, very funny.
After hearing you say it I can definitely see how this was sort of “what if Kaizo Mario World was good?”

Was watching the Kaizo 3 finale last night and was hoping you’d end up playing Dram soon. Panga was so young, and much more trolly than he is now, but still a great level designer!
10:41 - Proto-celebrity CarlSagan42 sighting. I always forget how prevalent he was when he was a runt. I guess that means it's about a decade since I saw him do that Yoshi's Island run, which helps me establish a metric by which I can measure all the time I've wasted on TH-cam watching people play video games. Neat.

Huh? You don't know why the tiny jump helps spawn the chuck? Well, I have an idea that I am basing on some information about sprite limits that some random streamer told me some time ago :p Like maybe a minute earlier in the video? :p
You see, when you despawned chuck you went super fast and and when you did the tiny jump, that made you go slightly slower. Those saws just fall into nothing allowing the chuck to spawn. I don't know which saw is the culprit, but that would be my guess based on what strimmer told chat.

Guys, if you find ANY new speedrun strats for ANY rom hack/ speedrun, just name it "Dram Strats". He will probably be really grateful for that.
Because back in his time, people didn't think of iconic individual names for strats, speedrunning wasn't nearly as big as it is now. So nothing ever got called "Dram Strats", but he sure as hell would deserve it. 👍😉🤞

He's talking about in comparison to a lot of the newer hacks that the fishing boo in Dram isn't as hard as modern fishing boo sections.
