You probably do, the Panda version is an unofficial bootleg. It was originally released as Super Challenge Baseball by M-Network and later re-released by Telegames (officially).
I find it interesting that Panda Video Games was more or less Sancho trying to distribute their games to the US. Some of Sancho's games(specifically Seahawk, Exocet & Skindiver) were bootlegged & hacked by Froggo Games around the Atari 7800 era.
@@TheLairdsLair I was assuming so but wasn't sure if it was a case of them legit buying the code for certain games & reworking it or outright thievery.
I actually have a copy of Harbor Escape that I found a few years back. For a dollar. Lol. Bootlegs and knockoffs or not, some of these are worth some big bucks nowadays.
@@TheLairdsLair a tiny bit more 😂 gotta love how "wild west" the Atari age was no rules, copyright laws still being written, no licensing stmystem from Atari.... The gaming world will never be like that again!
Yeah, it makes you wonder how many cartridges people like Activision and Imagic would have really sold had there not been so much rampant piracy. Not to mention all the clone consoles that ate into Atari's business too . . . .
@@TheLairdsLair certainly! People get onto Nintendo for being so strict on licensing but it was in large part a reaction to what happened to Atari. Maybe Nintendo went too strict, it's debatable, but they certainly had less of a bootleg issue where copyright laws applied.
This is cliche, but the 2600 versions of "ET", "Pac-Man", and "Come Pull My Finger" are far more engaging than those gems, and the home run they hit out of the park with baseball was a ripoff (I saw your other post, hehe.)
Nightmare...judging the game from its cover (a nonsense mixture of...things) I already bet that the game itself will suck! Then you play it and...yeah, it's even worse than that!
I have the game under the title of Stuntman. I think its actually pretty unique for the atari. not man games that are action platformers (some levels giving you an pick axe to swing as you ascend). I just hate the dumb songs!! just let me restart!! theyre nifty but they get tiring real quick with how slow they are
Sancho Panda... something very Don Quixote sounding there 😂
#SanchoPanza
I swear i have that exact horrible baseball game with a silver Telegames label.

Horrible? It’s the best baseball game available on the 2600!

Game at 5min 45sec has no title on the box but the later ad page calls it "Space Canyon". It is definitely a reskin of Space Cavern 😂
Yep, it's a bootleg!

Definitely the latter!
Dice puzzle looks processor hungry

Ive never heard of any of these before. And I'm almost as old as the atari vcs. Were these official releases?
Yep, Sancho released in PAL regions and Panda in NTSC
Harbor Escape? More like River Raid reskinned! 😂
A slightly less obvious bootleg this time though, at least they made some effort to change it.

But I do love the idea of switching the "fuel" to "air" for the gage given it was made into a submarine game.

Interesting video, never heard of the companies. The covers looked great, pity the graphics were so poor. Perhaps the game play is good.
It's not, these games range from ok to bloody awful.
Exocet? What the hell's goin on? 😅
Depending on what's legal to ingest and where, I'm definitely asking the same question as you! 😵💫🫨🤯😝
These games are why so many people think the Atari 2600 is shit

Did Sancho Panda speak with an overdone Latino/Spanish accent like the midget from Fantasy island?
Yes, and he has an impressive moustache
