Another underrated pavilion. The lack of a stand out attraction doesn’t detract from its charm. You can relax and breathe here

I agree Mike! A unique ride would be very cool here, but I already love the pavilion as it is so a ride isn’t necessarily needed

Man I really love Japan if the calmest of all the Pavilions but unfortunately one of the most underrated one plus I specially love the restaurant where they cook in front of you

⛩Aww, the view across the lagoon, from on high & thru the gate - so pretty, so right. Between the fish, the 🥡🍱food (bet you've not tried anything here lol)and the shopping,👘 I find this pavilion entertaining. Just like it's host country, so much jammed in an allotted space. I don't know why they leave space wasted (the area in the back) it's one of life's mysteries. You can do this area many times & I don't tire of it. Thx for the roam 💜

Haha you’re right, I’ve never tried any of the food in this pavilion (same with Morocco) but I’m trying to open up and get something one of these days! This pavilion is in my Top 3 favorites right now, and it doesn’t even have a ride! Of course I’d love a ride here someday but even if they never built one, I’ll still always love this pavilion as is. Thanks so much for watching as always Liz😊

@@4KWDW We are going to have to challenge you on your selected foods. Occasional deviations won’t hurt 😊and can even be fun!! (but, in my work, with lots of travel, I have gotten to try many different cuisines…and I have found things I will never eat again…but that is for an in person chat 🙃)

Only if they actually built the Mount Fuji rollercoaster; that might have put Japan in the top 3 of countries in Epcot.

    • @4KWDW
      @4KWDW  ปีที่แล้ว +1

That coaster definitely would’ve been insanely awesome, and potentially the most popular ride at Epcot!

My family and I (12 of us) are going to Disney in June. I loved that you posted these videos of what the atmosphere is like in the parks during the summer months.

The Japan Pavilion is serene. A perfect balance of classic Japanese architecture and gardens.
I appreciate your attention to detail and your highlighting aspects of the Japan Pavilion that many Guests overlook.
I enjoy going to the quick service dining location here and sitting out in the upper garden area (as long as it's not 100 degrees Fahrenheit out, that is).
Otherwise, there is usually seating available inside.
And speaking of HOT days in Florida, the Japan Pavilion is a perfect AIR CONDITIONED retreat - with the intimate museum and large shopping area.
It's also a great place to wait out Florida afternoon Thunderstorms.
I'm very happy to see that the International College Program Castmembers have returned to the Japan Pavilion.
I also appreciate that Mitsukoshi sells things made in Japan and has not been overrun with Disney related merchandise.
It is a very authentic Japanese shopping experience.
The video quality is outstanding - as always.
    Thanks for sharing ☺️
    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
p.s. - on an unrelated note, have you ever considered devoting a video to Walt Disney World's famous World class Mosaics?
Dorothea Redmond's design for the Medieval inspired series of mosaics in Cinderella Castle?
Mary Blair's iconic Mosaics in the Grand Canyon Concourse of Disney's Contemporary Resort?
The exquisitely detailed Mosaics lining both sides of the entry to The Land Pavilion at Epcot?
    etc.?

I couldn’t agree more Gerry! This pavilion has grown on me so much over the years, so much so that I really wanna visit Japan someday! I actually never thought to film a video of all the mosaics here, but I really like that idea! I just added it to my list of things to film in the future. Thank you so much as always Gerry😃

@@4KWDW You're probably already aware of the outdoor archway Mosaic at Disney's Riviera Resort. I only discovered that one recently by chance.
Seems that lots of times, we encounter the most surprising and amazing things when we're not looking for them.

This pavilion has the neatest gardens…someplace (if not crowded) to enjoy a little peace in the day. Those shish-odoshi are really need to watch and hear☺This is one of my favorite pavilions for its depth and variety (Mitosokoshi, gardens, foods). It took too long for me to “find” that Kawaii exhibit…just never noticed it, then read about it in an article…is fun to see how the “cute” culture can be use as a decoration theme all the way through various utensils you would use regularly (not just decorative). OH! a Duffy Bear pressed penny!!!

Yes, the gardens they added for the Flower & Garden festival are super cool and such a great addition. I’ve never been to Japan, but this wonderful pavilion definitely makes me want to go sooner rather than later! Thanks so much Rick😊

Another example of a great pavilion in need of an attraction. Maybe revive that bullet train idea or the coaster thru Mount Fuji. Great stroll around one of my favs 4K.

Wow, I literally got out a notepad and wrote down all the awesome things about the Japan Pavilion! I’ve been there many times to eat and wander around though the gift shop, but there’s so much more!
I hope this comment isn’t too long!
The details outside topiary of the dragon out front is amazing! The Koi pond with the hidden Mickey is always fun to see, and all the trails to walk around with bridges are really nice. The stature’s are really well done, and the bamboo trellis is lovely. I’ve eaten at Katsura Grill restaurant sitting in the woods, and at Teppon Edo and they are both great.
The gift shop is awesome as well and you did a great job filming it!
It was nice you walked all the way around inside and outside, and up and down to show all the details!
    Thanks for a great video!!

I agree, this pavilion is filled with amazing details and theming! Japan is in my Top 3 favorite pavilions right now, and it’s also one of the most immersive spots in Epcot(same with Morocco). I truly forget I’m in a theme park when walking deep into the pavilion. It’s truly my pleasure, thanks for always watching!! 😃

I believe the pavilion is fine the way it is. The Koi pond & the Shishi-Odoshi in front lays the foundation of a tranquil atmosphere. You’ve got your gift shops and traditional restaurants, plus the familiar architecture. No need to ‘Americanize’ it with a ride. ⛩️🧐🍿

    • @4KWDW
      @4KWDW  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Oh yes, a ride definitely isn’t necessarily needed here. This pavilion is in my Top 3 favorites right now, so I’m ok if it stayed the same forever. I would’ve loved that Mount Fuji coaster though! Now if a ride ever gets built here, I’m sure it’ll be some movie related thing unfortunately. Thanks for watching as always Scott😃

    HI 4K!
Thank you for such a well-filmed and detailed look at this pavilion.
I don't think I ever walked through it, but always got a picture through the nice red "door way" structure right next to the lake (22:12).
I like the area seen at around 19:38 where one had a higher perspecitive over the pavilion and lake.
I understand the original plan for this pavilion was to have a Mt. Fugi ride located right behind the buildings.
I wished they'd at least have a movie like Canada/China that would take us on a tour of Japan.
    Well done, as always!
    God Bless...

I’m so glad you enjoyed this as always Ken!! I agree, it would be great if an attraction of some sort was added here someday(that isn’t IP related). A movie like the one in China & Canada would be perfect! Thanks so much as always 😃
