The Germany pavilion is the quaintest, most charming and most magical of all the pavilions. It transports you right inside one of the old Disney classics. I always feel a bit of sadness that this magic has gone missing in modern Disney movies. Welp, at least it is forever preserved in the classics, such as Snow White and Pinocchio, and here in this pavilion. :)
Love the train display. Its so cool. I remember hearing that behind that back wall in the Biergarten restaurant was to be the queue for the Rhine River Cruise attraction. Wish Disney would build it. Fantastic as always 4K.
Yep, the Rhine River Cruise queue and loading area was built and now it’s just sitting there useless behind the wall! So upsetting that wasn’t built. Thank you as always Andrew!
We always make a stop at the Germany pavilion just to get the popcorn. I never remember to look up at the buildings and didn't know Germany had figures coming in and out of the structure. I'll have to check this out on the next trip in January. Excellent video of the pavilion.
🥨That Donald, I'm Cuckoo for Germany lol. Speaking of which, I'm glad they finally have some cuckoos available to show off because inventory wasn't there the last video. I have no idea why Christmas 🎄is so associated with the country but am grateful they have the obliques in the spinning case(not like I'm buying....) Also, nice catch 8:00 of the moving characters but at 6:14 do those blue doors also open? Did they ever because those are the ones I remember & not the ones that did LOL. Danke for this🖤💛❤
I’m glad those cuckoo clocks were there this time too! And a cast member was nice enough to showcase one of them for the video, so that was cool! If I remember correctly, those blue doors are like the other ones that opened in the video but they were used for that Phineas and Ferb game they used to have in World Showcase. I swear I saw them open somewhat recently but maybe I’m wrong lol. Thanks so much Liz😃
I believe that the custom of cutting down a Christmas tree and bringing it indoors began in Germany. And so, it makes sense for the German Pavilion to feature them all year long.
Thanks so much for this! We loved seeing inside the restaurant, too! And all the shops! We've been eagerly following each of your World Showcase spotlight videos. Can't wait for Africa! Thanks so much for doing them!
It’s my pleasure! I do my best to make these World showcase pavilion tours a little different each year. Will try to film Africa next week! Thank you so much😊
Best buffet at Epcot. Already booked to eat there in August when I go see Joey Fatone. Best pretzels in Epcot but unfortunately, that might be all Germany hast to offer. If they ever built that river ride, I think it would put it in the top three. Until then they can take that $79,000 spaceship Earth monstrosity, and maybe put it back into the pavilion, because no one is buying that.
The food is always good at the Biergarten! Lol that crystal Spaceship Earth was already purchased one time by someone so far, and I really wonder who that is lol. It would take a miracle to finally get that Rhine river cruise ride built, but I would be insanely happy. Thanks so much as always Craig!!
Thank you for this well filmed and produced video. Like Japan and Italy, I often bypass Germany on my way to a pavilion with an attraction. RE: Murial inside I've read that Germany was to have had an attraction, a boat ride down the Rhine River (see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany_Pavilion_at_Epcot). The murial is where one would board and leave the boats. RE: 4K Moment I'll give this one to the nice look at the model train section (one of the more beautiful I've seen). This is one thing I will stop to see on my way past Germany, and felt you did an excellent job in providing us a view of the trains and landscaping. Thanks for the great video!
Yep you’re right Ken! I really wish that Rhine river cruise attraction would’ve been built! Same with the Mount Fuji coaster in Japan. Thank you so much as always!! 😊
Keep up the great work! Love ALL your videos! I have them playing on shuffle in the background all day at work. They help me get through stressful days by taking me to my Happy Place, so thanks for that! (Shhh! Don't tell my boss :)
Oh wow, that’s so awesome and very heartwarming! Thank you so much for watching as much as you do, and I promise I won’t say anything to your boss!! 😉😂
I love the Germany pavilion!!! And Biergarten is a fun place to eat! I assume you bought that $79,000 Spaceship Earth?? Ha! I love when you explore the countries, there's so much to see!!
Hahaha oh yea, I bought a couple of those last week😂 The one on display was the 2nd out of 150, so that means someone already bought one! I really wonder who that is lol. Thanks so much as always 😊
Those two large portals at the back were originally for a ride; a Rhine river cruise showing locations in Germany. Never came to be, and now leads to some real good food and beer.
I've been to the Germany Pavilion in Epcot and I'm pretty sure inside there's a piece of the berlin wall broken in 1989 the year that I was born especially for them
All my German friends call this "The Bavarian Pavilion" because the architecture is inspired by the region in southern Germany. Friends from Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, etc. are fine with that. They know that most American Guests don't know the difference. They also don't mind that much of the music playing on a Loop around the German Pavilion was actually written by Austrian Composers like Schubert, Mozart, etc. However, there is ONE thing that REALLY gets them irritated: the Christmas Tree with the PICKLE Ornaments!!!!!! I've yet to meet ANYONE from Germany who has ever heard of this supposed "popular German Christmas tradition." I don't care either way myself. I'm glad though, that they have opened the second Christmas shop. 👍 A buddy of mine who was on the International College Program told me that the Cuckoo Clocks on the wall in the little shop are all set at different times to avoid all the clocks "Going CUCKOO" at the same time. I also like the additional mechanical style clock over the door of the shop next to the Weinkeller. Cute!!! It always makes me smile when the Disney Bunny Rabbits venture out in the evening and nibble away at the closely clipped grass in the Fussen / Wurtzburg "Romantic Road" model train layout.❤️ Vielen dank for this lovely video. ps- I remember in "Epcot's old days" when there used to be a large Hummel Figurine of a Girl and a matching Hummel Figurine of a boy in the two display windows where the Werther Shop is now located. They were about 2 feet tall and were priced at $13,000.00 each. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The severe lack of Rapunzel merch anywhere in sight is frankly criminal. That is just as much a Brothers Grimm tale as Snow White is. :( Also, why is there so much Christmas stuff there in July?
About 8 years ago I bought two cuckoo clocks from them. And the two I bought were smaller one day clocks and they cost a little less then the big 8 day clocks. So there's a little tip for you! 🙂

Yes I agree the river cruise would be fantastic but nooooo Disney wanted to give us Moana's water world? The Disney higher ups are out of touch.

It's the Christmas Corner Shop - open year round.
