It is one of the fastest-growing cities in Asia and the largest city in Malaysia, covering an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) with a census population of 1,982,112 as of 2020.[8] Greater Kuala Lumpur, also known as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.564 million people as of 2018.[4] It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in Southeast Asia, both in population and economic development.
Bangkok,[a] officially known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon[b] and colloquially as Krung Thep,[c] is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. The city occupies 1,568.7 square kilometres (605.7 sq mi) in the Chao Phraya River delta in central Thailand and has an estimated population of 10.539 million as of 2020, 15.3 per cent of the country's population. Over 14 million people (22.2 per cent) lived within the surrounding Bangkok Metropolitan Region at the 2010 census, making Bangkok an extreme primate city, dwarfing Thailand's other urban centres in both size and importance to the national economy.

Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore are at another level in ASEAN. they are comparable to developed cities. But Jakarta, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Vientiane, Yangon and other cities are growing extremely fast and will be at their level too.

The reason why it is difficult in Thailand to find buildings 500-600 meters tall is because 1. High construction costs. Because Bangkok's clay is quite soft. The pile must therefore be deep. cause high costs 2. The shortened distance law makes it difficult to build tall buildings, and 3. The government does not invest in building or helping promote tall buildings of 500-600 meters, leaving it up to the private sector.

Bonjour, I am french . For me Bangkok it's the new New York of Asia for the lot of modern skyscrapers and many many public park . Bangkok " The Big Mango " and New York " The Big Apple " . I like Bangkok because it's has the lot of rooftop of the world today . KL I like it too but there is no soul
compare to Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo. KL is a beautiful, clean and modern little city but in terms of health Thailand is ahead with ultra modern hospitals and a health system worthy of European countries because care is free for the Thai people
