- Hi! I'm Eunice Alvarez and I did a long layover in Korea. Incheon International Airport offers FREE Transit Tour for Transit Passengers. You can explore the city of Seoul at no cost. I did a 15 hour layover in Seoul, South Korea and I was able to do it by myself. Watch this video if it's your first time traveling in Asia or in my case South Korea. I hope you enjoy this travel vlog as much as I enjoyed making it.

I have a layover coming up and I saw this ad about free korea tour. I had to look it up here on youtube just to make sure it was legit. Lol
This is legit but they now require a visa to do this tour. I’ll be uploading an updated video soon. Stay tuned. 😊

@@theresaandres3993For US Citizens, you need a K-eta visa upon entering. Make sure to apply 72 hrs before the flight.

@@jennifermaebuaron514 you can check if your passport allows you to get a K-eta visa on their website. But if not, you need to apply for a Korean visa. I just posted an updated video about this transit tour. Feel free to check it out. 😊

I'm planning to take this flight from sfo to Mnl with 14 hrs layover to Seoul. This is helpful. Did you use your card to pay on all the transaction while in the tour ex. restaurant?
Thanks for this very helpful! I am going to India and Nepal in a few months and I will have a 13 hour layover in Seoul on the way home. A very nice bonus third country added to my trip! I take it you do not need a tourist visa to do this Seoul transit tour?

Hi Eunice! I'm curious if you were allowed to bring a tripod since I noticed that you had some stable standing shots. Also, how many hours was the difference between your arrival from your last tour to your next flight? Thanks.
Kyla Cruz yes, I did bring my tripod. I had to hand carry it. Last tour was until 6pm. I got back around 5:45pm. Just on time for my 8pm flight.
HI Eunice! Did you have a break in between tours? I want to do the palace tour from 8 - 1 and then the shopping tour from 1 - 6. You think I can make it on time to the next tour after the first? Thanks!
Sarina Mizianty I think I arrived back at the airport around 12:40pm from the first tour and then I immediately hopped on to the next one. Also, Before you even get to the first tour, make sure to coordinate with the representative at the transit tour desk. Let them know your concerns and they for sure will guide you with the transition. Hope this helps 😊

Hi, inside the airport I believe they accept dollars. But outside the airport, you have to have Korean won or just use your credit card, most places accept credit cards.

Yes, they do accept credit cards. However, you might need some cash if you’re planning to go to a market or buy some street foods.
hello po kumuha po kau ng transit visa para makalabas ng airport? 17 hours po kasi ang layover ko po
After the 1st tour if you wanna avail the other tour do you need to go back to the Airport to pay for another $4 and wait for next transit bus?
You can just tell the tour guide if you want to join the 2nd tour, they’ll be able to help you. We only paid $4 for the first tour.

Zenie Tolentino If liquid po bilhin nyo, since layover lang and carry on lang ang dala, in my opinion I think it’s better to buy them in the airport to avoid hassle sa pag pasok. Pero if hindi po liquid, you can buy them sa Myeongdong. Madami din sa airport na beauty products. Ung mga binili ko sa Myeongdong is not liquid.

hello po! i’ll be traveling alone and I have an 18hr layover in south korea. I want to ask if you’re still going to bring with you your check-in luggage and all during the transit trip lol i’m sorry it would be my first time traveling internationally at age 19, i wouldn’t want to get lost or anything hehehe
empirestateofmind20 hi! That’s exciting that you will be traveling internationally soon. To answer your question, if you are only in Korea for connecting flight, your check in luggage will be out in your final destination. You only need to take care of your carry on luggage. Also, You can always ask the attendants as you check in your luggage. They are always happy to assist you. 😊

Yes, very easy lang hanapin ung transit tour. So you can also ask around. I believe they have one before the immigration or if not sa arrival, nandoon ung main desk. I spent $10 for lunch and I have extra cash for souvenirs and street foods. May currency exchange naman sa airport. If you want to go shopping, they accept credit cards at the stores so you don’t need a lot of cash.
Hi! May I ask what you got back to the airport after myeongdong? I have a trip coming up in January I have 15hiur lay over and my flight to cebu will be 9pm
Grace Nunez I got back at the airport at 6pm. The tour was on time, making sure we dont miss our flight. I made it to my flight at 8pm.
Eunice Alvarez thank you! But i see you went to namsan tower but I didn’t see that on their package tour? Did you have to go back to the airport to go to namsan and myeongdong?
Grace Nunez yes, I had to go back to the Airport to be at my 2nd tour (Namsan Tower and Myeongdong) cos it’s gonna be on a different bus. It was a little bit of a hassle since I was already in Seoul which is 1 hour from the airport and then I had to go back to Airport again for another tour. I just had to go with it because I have my carry on luggage with me and I didn’t want to travel by myself alone knowing I have a flight to catch at 8pm.

Hello! I believe it only took me around 10 mins from the immigration to the transit desk cos there’s no queue at that time. Then I had to wait for the transit desk to open. I’ll be remaking this video soon so stay tuned. 😊

How to avail this kind of tour?
If you are transit passenger to Korea and if you’re a citizen of certain countries, you can avail this tour. However, I’m just not sure if they’re still offering this cos of the pandemic.
Did you have a Korean visa to get the transit tour?
No. I didn’t have a Korean Visa when I entered Korea since I am only a transit passenger. However, some transit passengers of certain countries need to secure a transit visa to enter Korea and join the tour. You might want to check Korean Transit Visa Requirements to see if your country of citizenship is required to get a transit visa to enter Korea.

에바보라다아겔 As for me, wala akong visa inapplyan for transit. They just gave me transit visa on the day I arrived. But for some certain countries, they require a visa upon arriving. You can also check out their website just to make sure. You can check the link on my description box.

No visa needed to do this for most countries. But sometimes it depends what passport you have. You might want to double check it on their website.

If you are in south korea for a layover galing US/Canada to Philippines or vice versa, no need for a transit visa. But also check their website. I am not sure if they are still offering this because of the situation worldwide.

Nene Cuty yes they are always on time. I had a flight at 8pm and I got back at the airport around 6pm. They wouldn’t allow you anyway if you don’t have enough time to join the tour

Ate anong gagawin pagdating ng terminal 1 sa korea punta ba ako agad sa tour information kung gusto ko mag tour and free lang po ba , at saan iiwan ang handcarry luggages
Lamsin family I’m not sure kung ung terminal 1 is nasa Incheon International Airport. Check mo na lang. If sa Incheon sya, punta ka straight sa Free transit tour desk to check what time ung mga available tour and para makareserve ka kagad. Free ung tour mismo. Binayaran ko lang last time is ung mismong food kung nakita mo sa video ko. Then ung hand carry luggage dala dala namin lahat sa bus.
