Since it November I am growing my (wispy patchy) beard.... lol! I'm young 20 years old genetics will set in (knocks on wood) I am supporting no shave November for men's health. I am more focused on men's mental health cause I do struggle with depression from time to time and I would like to live in a world where that's not stigmatized. So I'm using cremo which is a clear shave cream to line up my facial hair. Then witch hazel, Aqua velva ice blue and then nivea sensitive aftershave balm. Happy shaves Paul, your videos help me smile.
First shaving video I have watched in a few months. My dog started growling at the opening music. It's 3am here and hearing your video is not part of his routine. Great video as always Paul!
Be having a Wilkinson sword shave today. Razor, blade and soap (the blue soap). Old classic aftershave old spice . We also got pork for dinner. Have a good relaxing Sunday with Mrs H and the cats.
Hi Paul- Great shave and shaving product usage; thank you! Nice idea to participate in the Movember activities. I always have a moustache, so I’m going to let that fill out a bit more during the month. Lovely flowers from Mrs H; thank you! Dinner sounds quite nice, as well. I hope you have a great week ahead and see you on Wednesday for the mid-week shave. All the best, Paul!
Beautiful flowers Mrs H. Paul today I woke early due to the time change here in the US, decided to have a long slow shave. Did a face lather with ARCO and my antique badger brush. PAA knurled top antique razor with a New Shark blade. Three pass classic shave with pickup time! 😁 . Used cold water rinse and alum block. Finished with aqua velva splash and PAA Bay Rum cologne. Ahh it was truly a relaxing and baby butt smooth . I cooked a little breakfast ( bacon on toast) and we did a run to the store. Got back home and I decided to drive down to pick up a curry (Mutton Vindaloo ) . Fenix got a korma and vegetable side with flaky buttered paratha. The restaurant must have thought I was feeding an army lol my container had to weigh three pounds and was full of large pieces of tender Mutton and potatoes. I knew better than to order a extra side . The vindaloo was extraordinairily good with a few extra green cardamom pods (I like green cardamom) . It was hot ,made my nose run, eyes water and brow sweat. LOL 😉👍 lashintos of Curry gravy ! It was a quart size container and it was filled to the top. The charge only $ 11.99 for the mutton and $12.99 for the Lamb. Chicken is $10.00 . Dinner there is a once a month event for us but tonight we decided to do take-away. Hope you and Mrs H are in great health and fine spirits. I was thinking about that vindaloo hot and spicy you had about a month ago , couldn't get it out of my mind lol 😁 hahahaha had to get one today. Plus Fenix didn't want to cook tonight. So it All worked out for the best! 😋😀
Beautiful arrangement, Mrs H. Great video, Paul. Good luck with the goatee. We men don't take enough care of ourselves and prostate cancer is one of the easiest cancers to cure if caught early enough. I am going to put the 39c on my wishlist. I own a Hoffritz slant which not only looks gorgeous in its box but shaves beautifully too. I think it deserves a bit of company and the 39c will get on with it splendidly. I don't need to look online for a double chin - I've already got a full set plus a spare tyre to be going on with. Have a great Sunday Paul, Mrs H and the girls.
I very much enjoy hearing what you are having for supper. You make me want to leave my home in West Virginia to come have supper with you. By the way, great shave!
Great shave, Paul. Beautiful flowers again, Mrs H. Very nice looking brush. I've been using a 1956 Gillette Flare Tip which I just purchased. Best to you both!
Always nice to see Mrs. H’s flower arrangements. Excellent shave as well, Paul! I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather the past few days, but I was able to enjoy a nice mentholated shave last night. Stirling Glacial Spearmint Soap and A/S... definitely opened up my sinuses 👍🏼👍🏼
Good shave Paul! My shave Menu is my Rockwell 6c, plate 5, spoiler blade on 2nd use, TOBS Grapefruit soap, Nivea aftershave. Dinner menu is easy tonight, Bacon wrapped Filet Mignons, mushroom demiglaze, roasted potatoes and asparagus. I hope you and your family enjoy the rest of your day. Cheers from Florida!!!
Happy Sunday Paul! Spectacular floral display as always...thank you Mrs. H!!! On my shave menu: Blackland Dart loaded with a Feather Hi-Stainless blade (7th use), Martin de Candre Rose shaving soap lathered with a That Darn Rob 24 mm BOSS knot, Thayer's AF SF skin toner, Soap Commander Love (True Rose) shaving balm. I will see if that turns into a misadventure shave...lol. That was a nice shave Paul. I knew you hadn't forgot about the Goatee, as you had it on the Hot-N-Spicy. Enjoy your Sunday with Mrs. H. Take care.
Oooo... The only times I've ever cut myself is going sideways -- once when I first started traditional shaving (less that 6 months into it) and the other was a couple of years ago doing a head shave. The first one happened because I became laxed with my routine. The second was just an error on my part. But that's is. I've been shaving this way for... gosh... 5 or 6 years now?... and those are the only cuts. Neither was a big cut, just a little nick to remind me to pay attention. Have a great week, Paul! Much love to you, Mrs H, and "the girls".
Good, new soap, smells nice, and lather up rich and quickly!) This is the beginning of the return of the Van Dyke! Thanks a lot for interesting shaving video!
Howdy from Texas to Paul H and company. My complements to Mrs. H’s floral arrangement skills. 🏆 It’s a beautiful fall day here in south central Texas. I look forward to your weekly shaves. Mustache and goatee tip: A little beard oil twice a day to prevent itchiness. Cheers!
Did a 3rd use 2 pass on a Rapira today, still going strong, probably another 1 use left on it. My big surprise though was getting 6 uses out of a Topaz platinum that are cheap as chips!
Always enjoy your videos Paul and the beautiful flowers, Mrs.H does a great job. My shave today will consist of, fine snake bite and a fine 23mm synthetic brush, my Rockwell 6s with a feather blade, thayers medicated witch hazel, Phoenix artisan Doppelganger grey label aftershave and Phoenix artisan mysterium serum. I hope you enjoy the goatee, I've had mine for about 10 years now. Take care my friend
I’m growing out my mustache and goatee for no shave November. I did my Saturday shave with my Wilkinson Sword Classic chrome razor and a super max stainless steel blade. A great shave. Did not shave my mustache and goatee for no shave November. Keep it for the month of November.
Fab shave as usual Paul 💈 Coal tar that brings back memories!! Really like the slant razor. Flowers gorgeous as usual Mrs H 💐 Hope you enjoy Lashento's 👍 Chicken for us today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend both 💈👍💐💈
No Shave November! No problem Paul, as I sport a Vandyke year round and have for 30 years. I just let it grow long for Movember😉 Actually, it takes me longer to shave with facial hair, gotta be precise and careful. I've got a Razorock Wunderbar slant, fantastic shaver being smooth and efficient👍 That soap looks nice, too bad not available🤔 Stunning display of color from Mrs H, thanks. Great video and chat as always. Enjoy!
Never seen a cleaner first pass than with that Merkur 39C . I love my Razorock German 37 Slant and it is my exclusive shaver now but I do want to try the Merkur 39C Slant ~! The slant is sooo much more comfortable with a Voskhod Blade compared to the Rapira Platinum Lux blade. Great shave Paul ~! Kit
What a fantastic looking safety razor! I want one! I have just got started into safety razor shaving (im using a cheap beginner's razor) and this 39c will definetly be on my upgrade list!
Nice start to my Sunday with your vid👍 My Shave will be a 1960 Gillette Fat Boy, with Derby blade, Cube pre shave and Himalaya Shave Soap. Alum block and Polo Red cologne. Enjoy the Pork, but no Roasties???😁
great and fun video as always...oh i know that feeling by mistake running the blade sideways ouch...well i dont celebrate Halloween same with my parents but they still hand out candy to the kids that comes by, ....they told me they felt lucky when some child they dont even know knocks on their door they likes the attention oh i haven´t shaved for a while due to winter hehehe only trim the beard feels great warm when going out yes i miss shaving still i remind myself warm face not freezing
first time today i had astraight razor shave it was funny to use ,done the cheek area both sides Ok went up wards for the throat but come to do the jaw line i found it was difficuilt to do so ihad to finish off with my double edge razor . no cuts or niks !!!
Love the smell of coal tar. Such a shame there aren't any coal tar scented shaving soaps on the market. (to my knowledge anyway). I did email Brian at executive shaving to see if they would consider making a coal tar scented version of their wonderful shaving cream but I never got a reply.
Nice brush Paul, shame the company that made the coal tar shaving soap went out of business it gives a great lather, I have noticed that savers and superdrug are still stocking the Palmolive shave stick they charge around 75p take care and have a great week :-)
Great shave Paul. Great that you do Movember. Never do it myself but do make a donation to the cancer foundation seeing as I lost my Mother to it.Great Flowers Mrs H as always X.Have a great week ahead to you both, see you soon my friend, take care.:-)
Us Welsh do like a double chin. Got fed up of mine and took it back to Wilkos. They refused point blank, not to worry I got a great deal on a pair of love handles.
I have a question Paul: I have both this Merkur 39c and the 37c. As much as I have the 37c as one of my favourite, smoothest most effective razors I own, I find the 39c to be noticeably more "assertive" and not as smooth & comfortable as the 37c. Do you also find the 39c to be more aggressive than the 37c? Apparently, both the 37c & the 39c have the same degree of slant. They might well do. I do find though that the 39c takes no prisoners..so to speak. The only way I could explain the assertiveness of the 39c is through the 39c's much, much more substantial handle which the 37c just doesn't have. Weird, isn't it? Let me know your thoughts about it. Many thanks.
I don't own the 37c, but as you say they are both slanted the same, so it must be due to the weight and length of the 39c's handle which makes it feel differently I expect....many thanks.
Hi Paul! I hope you´re doing fine. :) Tell me, is there any diference between the Merkur 39 C Slant Bar and the Parker Semi Slant? I want to buy and try an Slant Razor! But i don´t want to spend to much money. Thanks in advance to answer to my doubt. :) ;)
Every time you leaned forward, there was a stray hair I wanted to cut! 😂 My wife was asking why does he put the scent on first, only to apply a balm afterwards? I see a few doing that on here.
You should have cut it for me...lol.....I have always added the balm like that, only if I am going out do I add it the other way around..many thanks :-)
Paul if come close to the length of kevy videos you’d have a problem lol 😀I thought u were going to slip up and shave of goaty a couple times anyways keep entertaining with those videos

@@PaulHFilms Just bought the 39c Slant Bar yesterday. The results are outstanding! I've been getting some tips from your videos so thanks for that!
Stunning and thanks alot for making this video ❤️
I got my neck near the big vein sideways the other day. Thankfully it didn't go deep, but it did bleed a little and leave a nice scar.
Wow that was lucky, and unlucky at the same time.
Nice start to my Sunday with your vid👍 My Shave will be a 1960 Gillette Fat Boy, with Derby blade, Cube pre shave and Himalaya Shave Soap. Alum block and Polo Red cologne.

When you lathered up full face, I thought for sure you were going to forget. Good catch... ;-)
happy November Paul , from North Carolina ,U , S , A .
I love that razor. I'm using frequently my 37c which have the same head and for my Skin is mild and efficient. Greetings from venice italy

Lol✔️✔️
Thanks Paul. Great shave. Have you ever tried to shave 39c vs. 38c or 37c vs. 34c ? Do you prefer the slant or the straight one?
I have the 39c and the 34c, in honesty they shave the same, the slant makes no difference for me..Thanks :-)
I love my slant razor..it is a 34C not the 37C. I think just has a longer handle? Have a great day Paul and wife.
Longer handle = 39C
@@nelsonduarte2355 Oops you are correct. Thanks for pointing that out.

They make no difference to my shaves than a normal straight bar to be honest, just look different. Thanks
what is the function of the slanted bed
It just cuts the hair at an angle, no difference in the feel of the shave Gregg.
