I remember participating in this, and back then we just sprinted without the hula hoops

Played something like this in my ESL class with FC on the floor instead of hula hoops. Didn’t think about using it for my PE class. Great idea. Thanks!

This is a common game kids play on the balance beams in parks in Japan.

...or have multiple games going on at the same time to increase participation. 3 hoop lines instead of 1.

For sure, good idea thanks! I’ve actually used it as one of the stations on station day too (smaller version, approx 8 hoops, with 2 vs 2).

@@Leermayyte Hey thanks. I always include lots of different stations, usually a weekly station-day, some skill-based activities, some just ‘active’ and ‘fun’ things. This year it’s been outdoors only: things like paddles/balls off the wall, hockey shooting, jump rope, soccer passing, etc...

I do this game, but with full body rock paper scissors instead of using just hands

I also play this game in the Netherlands, but I use doormats instead of hoops to prevent the kids from slipping away.
