“i don’t just like pictures on the body, i like it to be the body itself” yew just spoke my soul, sistar 💚 that’s what i always tell people and one of the reasons why i haven’t gotten tattooed yet. hearing another person saying that gives me so much comfort ((especially an actual tattoo artist)) ! id love to get some symbols hand poked eventually 🙏🏼
She made a beautifull owl on my wife
Beautiful work
I just got a little fish on the side of my finger two days ago and it was done this way but with a machine.. im confused as my first finger tattoo was done the normal way with a machine.. was this right to do the poke method with a machine
As long as it stays there. There are no right or wrong method
Thank you x
She is very beautiful woman who does beautiful tattoos herself
She sure is
Shes so beautiful oml
And skilled
hi habba \m/ i got tattooed by boff and i worked with habba and boff while they were in ireland on guest spots :)
Stunningly beautiful work from stunningly beautiful woman. Respect!!
What is it that hand poke tattoo artist use to wrap the needle with for a good grip?? It has to be something you throw away each time... I have seen different ways to do it and still have no idea what it is. It seems some use a white stick object and other just tapes?? Anyone can tell ?!
Maybe it's a secret of trade :) But everyone have their own tricks
tell me moooooore......why secrets? I dont like secrets haha
Try taping the needle to a popsicle stick with tattoo grip tape or strapping tape.
grip tape works great, most proper tattoo supply shops carry it
Personally I use that athletic wrap stuff it’s also called sensi wrap on tattoo supply websites
♥️
Does anyone know what size needles she uses? I'm using 5rl and still going over a few times to get the line in straight? Thanks
+Ryan Thomas you can try to contact her and you might get an answer or even better - book a session and you will see it first hand.
Tattoo Shop Talk thank you I will do 🤘🏻
Try a 7rl or a 9rl
If you are a new handpoker, try using anywhere from 09 to 13 gauge as a bigger needle set is easier to make good solid lines with. I'm just going down to 05 and 03 now and I'm finding it a challenge lol. My thighs will have to just get nice coverups done by my good friend, lol.
Angle of putting the needle into the skin is importsnt as well, about 45° inthe direction of the line is optimal.
Realized this was a really old comment but yeah 😅
@3:47 is that a swastika on her palm?🤣🤣🤣🤣
If it is - it's not the kind you're thinking about
It’s a Hindu symbol for Harmony 🤦♀️🤦♀️
I suspect those are ancient Icelandic symbols especially in the context of what is on her fingers and the other palm. It's not a swastika.
It was originally a religious symbol in germanic cultures (that includes iceland)
After looking at it again it doesn't look like one anyways but my point still stands.
It doesn't mean what you think
The only con of hand poking is that it’s fades faster!!!!
I think you haven't been around good handpoking. It's one of methods that make ink stay where it usually wouldn't
Tattoo Shop Talk if she was around my area or she travels, I would definitely have her give me a handpoked tattoo!!
All traditional Japanese tattooing is handpoked. These guys are true masters and I can assure you that if done properly, handpoke lasts just as long as machine work. Handpoking gets a bad reputation because of the home kitchen stick and poke noobs that have little knowledge or experience. Anyone can scar someone with ink but a true handpoke tattooist has studied for many many years.
