Oh my gosh your so right I can give myself gifts 😍 brilliant. Can your daughter be any cuter❤️ Tell her we are all so proud to see the next generation of knitters bloom!
My love language is the love I give myself. It’s giving myself peace and sitting in quiet, taking a bath with no electronics, going to the spa by myself, taking a yoga class.
Thank you for sharing your joy, I absolutely love that they are learning to knit from you. I love making people food, that is my love language and you are right, I never consider it a worthy endeavor to make food just for me that I enjoy. That should change.
This episode was so adorable. You're giving me the boost (courage) to teach my ADHD child how to crochet. Seeing your little ones' pride after finishing their projects gave me so much joy. And I love your cozy corner. I literally started clapping for you. See you tomorrow, cousin.
Wow, never thought of love languages that way. Mine is quality time and I never set aside time for myself. I should! Lol. Also, love the plants, so cute!
Looove your plants and that Joe-Nathan is such a loving, caring husband. I love the idea of self watering plants. Also I’m so glad I’m not the only one who still looove a paper yearly calendar. Gifts are my love language also 🥰🎄🎁
girl! ive been loving your vlogmas videos and love love love that youre giving yourself the time, space, and energy for self-love. talking bout love languages in how we treat ourselves is helping me realize there are more ways i can also take care of myself and nurture my soul - i tend to have 3 main LLs (WOA, quality time, and acts of service) and im pretty good at giving myself me time but theres more to be discovered for the other 2, so thank you for helping me see this! ❤❤
To branch out of my «normal» clothing style, I sorted my clothes by colour in my wardrobe. It help me discover the colours I have too much off (like 36 shirt the exact same purple shade😅) and the ones that I don't have. It's the only organizing stuff that actually stuck with me😂
Hi there, Australian here, so if you want to Australian up a name the plant could be named Bazza rather than Barry, Gazza rather than Gary, Sheila is a female name and a very old fashioned Australian slang term for a woman, Kylie is a popular name (also Kylie Minogue is a quite famous singer here and in the UK), Narelle (also old fashioned), Kirrily and Bronwyn are oddly Australian female names.
😂Hi I really, really enjoy your vlogmas I am from Queensland in Australia. You could call your plant Adelaide this is a State in Australia. Big hugs and Merry Christmas to you and your amazing lovely family 😊❤🎄
Love those plants! I need to get one for my she shed when it’s finished being built. My love language is acts of service. You got me thinking with how to complete acts of service for myself? I’m not sure that one would work for self love lol but I love giving myself gifts - I’m never disappointed with those!
Okay… I am going to be just a tiny bit vulnerable here. My whole family took a love languages quiz a while back to see what our personal love language might be. My whole family got “quality time”, except me, I got “receiving gifts”. One of my family members said something like, “I guess that makes you the materialistic one of us.” To be fair-he was making a joke. But I took that statement really seriously and have always felt a bit guilty that receiving gifts is how I most feel loved. …But, crafty cousin, I have been thinking about what you said about it-like all day! And I was thinking, I don’t think negatively about you or anyone else for being super excited about receiving a gift and expressing that to the people around them. So, why should I think of myself so negatively for it?!? Anyway-thanks for sharing your thoughts today. 😊
i have a 7 yo little girl who would live to learn to knit... how old is your daughter? I have been hesitant and didn't want it to be overwhelming or hard for her? love that you are teaching her!!!
ooo i keep forgetting to put it in the footage! i’ll have a little come on in the next one to do the whole little poem that helps them remember the steps
i find that i give love and receive love differently! it doesn’t hurt to try a few though and see if one resonates more over another… there’s no rush in the journey to treat yourself right 🥰
@@MaressaMadeyes, it is my birthday tomorrow and I have already got my presents today🎉🎉🎉🎉 I am so happy for you, when I saw your happiness 🎉🎉🎉🎉I love your vlog❤❤❤❤❤
i think it’s slang but… the google search had some surprising results about how people feel about it. i’m just gonna play it safe and wait for an australian to chime in 😅
Your little's pride in her project and your joy over your plants is absolutely infectious. I have the biggest grin rn 😀
Not me low key in love with Joe Nathan 😍
Yall are the cutest and I’m living for this Christmas love story.

Your daughter is so stinking cute. Love her scarf. Well done little one. I have that plant. It's over 8ft. It loves light...so open those blinds. ❤

I love that challenge to love yourself in your love language! I'm definitely going to incorporate that into my day to day ❤
Does anyone else love the sound of her opening the advent calendar. Major asmr vibes, haha! ❤
my love language is someone making me dinner and i eat it in great appreciation
omg YES. there is literally nothing better than someone feeding me. please treat me like you’d love to see me 57 pounds heavier by tomorrow 😂♥️🥰

Ok, now I have a silly grin on my face. She did such a good job. Beautiful scarf.
i’m soooo proud 😭😭😭
She looks beautiful in her new scarf. Hooray for learning new skills ❤

oooo this is genius. i might have to implement this!

Aussie here 🙋🏽♀️ and if you go with Margaret for the plant, the Aussie nickname would be Mazza or Maz 😂
Hahah totally! (Hello from a kiwi 😂)
Thank you so much for sharing your baby with her knitting. Totally made my day!
aw thank you for sharing in her joy! ♥️
I totally hear that Laura Penrose audio shoutout!

I’m from New Zealand but my name suggestions for an Australian plant would be Matilda, Stevo, Charlene, or maybe a Sharon a la Kath and Kim? 😂😅

I felt myself smiling the whole time you received those plants!
i felt like my face was gonna break from how happy i was 😁🥰

he did soooo good 😭
Off jumps jack. I've heard you say that before. I gotta know this stuff

Oh my goodness yes! I keep five kids alive every day but I kill grass 😂
Acts of service. That how I show love. I wonder if that's how I receive it as well

Mee tooo😂
there is literally *nothing* on this planet better

Helllo! OK I'm 1/2 way through and the plant naming has begun. How about something uncommon and fun to say, like Ophelia? Clotilde? Prudence? *my 2¢*
these are all now currently in contention bc my little one is still she-who-must-be-named
(Hehe - not that you asked for suggestions... Great plants. J-N did good)@@MaressaMade
Not Australian, but I hear "Barbie" is commonly used :) Buuut I totally defer to the Aussies
Her name should be Loralie. Because she will be luscious if you remember to water her. 🪴
ooooo this is a GOOD one
Sheila is Australian for woman, isn’t it?

@@MaressaMade lol, good idea!
What I’m hearing is 2024 is the year of Miley’s I Can Buy Myself Flowers and to that I say he🏒🏒 yes.
