For some of us, buying an expensive PC is not realistic so these beautiful maps and interchanges are literally game changing! As a Swiss-German from the Alps now living in the US state of Wyoming (not far from Jackson Hole) it feels like you made these maps for me 😂
oh damn thats a wild coincidence haha! I didnt know you were in the US even :) Glad you like the pack but now I got to ask the tricky question. Which map do you want to play first?
Teddy Teddy Teddy! wow this is amazing dude, it's been a while since the last time I watched anything related to CS1 😅 but because of you it made it more impactful haha I loved the maps you made, might be one of the best packs... So, I don't know what are you going to do, but I think CO should have you for more maps in Cities Skylines 2, this map with the irrigations made me think about something. I also have to talk about it overall, like map makers are hard working with the few methods available in game, I don't dislike the use of resources to make the surface, to be fair it's the only way to do it, but imagine someone who saw this map wnd will think it's for oil industries and not understand the message of the map 😅 you also did a incredible job, and to save not only you, but all the map makers in Cities Skylines community, I could like to suggest some stuff, to be honest Cities Skylines 1 should have it, I don't know if it is in a unbearable state that CO can't really add stuff, but in order to provide ideas, and change, and revamp the old costumes, the outdated ways to give the map more uniqueness. The idea is to map makers to talk with Developers to have some type of focus to map editor tools, because something big like that can be a game changer for everyone, like, maps right now are lifeless, no biomes, no terrain modifications, no "props" what I should say, options to make scenarios in Cities Skylines more believable and functional rather than decorations because it's a lack of resources, simple infrastructure and structures in the map is so difficult, the game doesn't want us to do stuff, for example, to improve what could be a stressing method, like using resources painter to make the ground look beautiful, and upscaling the resources in map seems odd to me, because it's a st*pid limitation, sorry for my wording 💀 what I mean is, there's solutions, I have ideas, it's about irrigations right? So it's about water resources, the idea I have I was dreaming for Cities Skylines 2 to have, didn't happen ☠️ I am not happy with the little tools we have in the game, seems like the CO devs aren't looking into a big picture, and aren't interested on map makers taking months to make beautiful maps and have functional mechanics for Scenarios, which is something this game NEEDS to implement, just need a visionary guy to make it happen, what I think the map editor tools is missing is tools, what I thought it should be possible, map editor should be like a Experiment Project, what I mean? Well, the game gives tools such as rise terrain, lower it, you know, the "basic" stuff, but the Devs didn't give attention to a lacking feature the mechanic should have from the beginning of making development, Tools to make Rock formations, Tools to generate layers to the soil, (Remember Sim City 4 map?) this is what I I visioned, you have a soil with the characteristics, like real life when you analyze the terrain of a country or small region, you see where the water is abundant, the effects of the sun into the terrain making the water deposits go away because of temperatures, weather conditions, this is probably getting complicated, but the tools we deserve to have is, possibilities to make ground erosion, to make modifications on the terrain in a realistic way, like, how rivers are born, so do I ask, why in the game we don't have a variety of tools to make river, and other water resources in game, we have to be dependent of mods, they're good, but it's difficult, too complicated, I believe, I strongly believe you should be able to make rivers with a well defined tool mechanic linked to the effects in the terrain, like you can see the water deposits in the layers under, or by raining you can experiment to make a natural river, you can use biomes, you can be able to create "life" like scenarios in a better way, and I strongly believe the rock formation tools is somewhat necessary, the game doesn't have rocks, erosion effects by weather or major events, you can't make a cliff, we, the players are forced to search for rocks in a props list to do it, this is weird, and those rocks seems to be fake, no physics at all, big no no, decorative and lifeless props hurt the game progress, I know porps are amazing, but it has to be functional and make some impactful meaning to the city you are creating...I saw those maps, not just those packs, but unfortunately map makers still struggle to find ways to make more realism in maps, you can't make scenarios like a farm, a functional farm, irrigation system, how that, well, tools to control the water of the soil, it has a massive effect in the terrain, make the nature grow greener, this is something that needs to work hand to hand with Biomes, the game doesn't have it, it's a shame, makes me wonder if I don't say anything about it, Devs will implement it slightly, so it's not too good, still repeats the flaws of the Cities Skylines 1, like how? The maps, just look the maps made by CO dudes, and compare with the good looking ones who tries to make something unique, also Cities Skylines 2 maps when it released oh Boy oh boy 💀 the resources are little, you as a player is forced to play with the map is making you do fams in a side of map you're not interested, you can't do farms anymore you want, the resources are poorly places, repeating the same old fashioned methods on Cities Skylines 1, why there's no tool to generate resources by the logical places of the terrain, logically mountains tends to have most of the precious resources like Iron and others minerals, just look the informations of resources reserves in Google, it's there, they can use it as reference of how the resources generation mechanic could work, not just that, this is not enough, I really don't want resources to be the better option for better surfaces in the soil like CS1 keeps us doing, CS2 need to implement a new mechanic, for terrain modifications, like you can extract data of a real location and have real data of weather, terrain data, nature/biomes data, so you can experiment it in the map you're making, damn, sometimes I feel like I have something for ideas, and it is stuck in my head and I want to share those... I want the meta for Cities Skylines 2 to change, prioritize beautiful and unique maps into the game with more frequency, not to repeat generic maps, with few resources, nothing but grass, having to use props to create some history, instead just make a foundation for tools, why we can't have a irrigation system in game for detailers to make farms lands, and have it become the true farms in the game, totally functional, not just visuals, decorations, the farms industries in the game is awful to look, it's like real life you see a big piece of fabric covering the land and making a farm and you can't see the farmers, the infrastructure out of it, the feeling of community working in something valuable, food is necessary, why we have so little agriculture options??? It's sad, really sad, when I always see content creators making a "fake" farm or forestry industry just making trees in line to make it look like something is happening, or a small field... there's no possibility of making other agriculture farms, we never get tomatoes, potatoes, more fruit farms, things that turn out the economic growth of your city, where's the options to make a city focused on industries or business? Like a farm town, so the community is engaged on it, and the theme of the town is it, unless you change it for a metropolitan mess 💀 Teddy, I hope I didn't make you suffer reading all this, I just feel bad for map makers who can't have more tools to make scenarios, and the CO devs seems to not care or are just blind to the importance of Scenarios in the game, it can be the game changer miracle that this game needs, scenarios are really the future, be able to select a map, and configure the map with more options than just turn money infinite or traffic for left or right is too little.. Why not choose different scenarios in the map, no big highways, modernized infrastructure in the map, scenarios to give the player services to let you read to build, or scenarios to make the region alive, with farms, history, old constructions, abandoned towns, ruins, buildings you can eventually click on it and recover, instead of replacing for another one, delete things here and there, old rails, abandoned roads, collapsed bridges, where it becomes a task for you the player to fix it, scenarios on the vast map to be able to happen, like something related to nature environment, tourism, places to visitors to see and make it popular, ways to make scenarios with competitions, like the Bridge game, you tey to make a scenario and people rank it, and you can get the scenarios very easily and import into your games, like builds you can do and others will see and review them, compare and even engage more people to try challenges to make scenarios on your cities, get rewards and other stuff. Scenarios is the future! And ofc more resources in map editor, to make rivers, to have things related to biomes, nature, and you can do things without using resources to make the map look like something and have no chances to make it easier or better, you can't even have better options to give details to maps, like old stuff, like pick a certain building and switch to a old or historical look, to give a impression it's abandoned, so you can do what? Scenarios!!! Exactly 😂
Wow, thank you, I feel the same way. I always wanted Volcanoes DLC or something, also we struggled with seasons, but just having the rain actually change a desert map into something green for a month would be great!

I seriously dont think CS1 will fade away, its too rich in content that its almost timeless, nostalgic and theres probably gonna be a lot of people playing it for another few decades
Hello Teddy. Thanks for visiting my channel. I have a question. You seem to use a lot of one-way highways, but are those able to handle traffic? I am used to using 3 or 2 ways so I was kind of worried.
They work pretty decent but in some cases it would be good to upgrade with 2 lane roads. Ive tried to make it possible in most cases to upgrade interchanges with 2 lane highways. I couldnt use these in the pack because the require mass transit dlc. The ramps are pretty useful for having a lower speed limit so it will make pathfinding prefer the the 3 lane highway routes when available. In my testing traffic hasnt usually been too bad anyway :) hope this helps!
Wonderful work, Teddy! Can't wait to see what the community does with these. 💙

Like a farm town, so the community is engaged on it, and the theme of the town is it, unless you change it for a metropolitan mess 💀
Teddy, I hope I didn't make you suffer reading all this, I just feel bad for map makers who can't have more tools to make scenarios, and the CO devs seems to not care or are just blind to the importance of Scenarios in the game, it can be the game changer miracle that this game needs, scenarios are really the future, be able to select a map, and configure the map with more options than just turn money infinite or traffic for left or right is too little..
I always wanted Volcanoes DLC or something, also we struggled with seasons, but just having the rain actually change a desert map into something green for a month would be great!
these maps are a work of art!
Teddy! This is the best news ive heard all week! And climate settings finally got added to CS2 editor so you know how stoked i am for you! ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
8:28 sold me
Thank you for keeping us console players in mind making this. We all feel left out but this pack is a real love letter to all players on all platforms
i really lobed the maps, anxious to download it!! deffinetively building brasilia!! I wish someone made my homecity Island of Florianopolis - Brazil, it went viral in twitter with someone saying it looked like cs map
@@Caio-sw7hh thsnks and good luck with your build! theres actually a few really nice looking florianopolis maps on the steam workshop if you want to try :)
Honored that you included Durban, South Africa's Inanda dam. 🎉 Would love to know how you decided on that height map.
i dont remember but it was ages ago. i suspect i was looking at durban harbor and then accidentally found it by proximity :)
I feel durban has a lot of cool reasons to be mapped in video games :) was one of my favorite maps for CXL back in the day
@@TeddyRadko That is cool! I live about 40min away from Durban so I am in the area often. It's quite something to experience! Well done on the amazing map pack!
I seriously dont think CS1 will fade away, its too rich in content that its almost timeless, nostalgic and theres probably gonna be a lot of people playing it for another few decades
Really great job, but how I make my expedition Harbour game looks like the thumbnail in the map selection menu? thanks 🙏
@@nofter838 only thing i changed is the vanilla color correction override in gfx settings to "european". Its a vanilla feature, atleast on pc :)
Love it I played it great pack
Hurray! Awesome work my friend 🗺
I personally am so so happy, I still love CS1 ❤️ 😍 thank you so much Teddy.
Thanks for your work
Great work ! Thank you 🙏
TEDDY WAS THIS YOU WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT
Hello Teddy.
@@TeddyRadko Thank you. I was just a little bit concerned. But even though, I still believe that your new maps are definitely top tier.
Absolutely awesome great job brother😍💙
Very great work as always!
