Such a fantastic video and detailed advice. Diagnosis is critical to successful treatment. So many folk self diagnose and believe it's IBS and then try tackling their condition as IBS....But actually it could be IBD, Crohn's, Ceoliac disease, bowel cancer to name a few. All of which require a unique and different approach and subsequent treatments.

I can eat the same exact meals and portions one day and be fine, yet the next time I’m a horrible mess with multiple episodes. I’ll never know when it’s coming, nor for how long. Visits an Gastroenterologist and he just gave spasm tablets, just didn’t help even after 2+ months. Started Ayurveda Meds, they have eased the pain a bit but it has not gone as yet. Along with Nausea, headache, feeling of uneasiness and at times perspiration. This most definitely is a life altering condition. Can someone suggest if a IV Contrast CT or plain CT can help diagnose this or any other issue with similar symptoms?

I was diagnosed with it years ago but can remember having problems in my teens-and I'm in my early 50's now. I've never been able to work out what set it off, although for a long time I suspected certain kinds of fats or oils-especially in crisps and pastries etc. I have now given up trying to work out what starts it off as over the last 12 months it's gone from being something relatively occasional to everything I bloody ingest causing me problems and have to take Buscopan just before or just after having something to eat. Interesting to hear about headaches though as I have one 5 days out of 7 but never thought it could be associated with IBS. Used to love garlic but daren't go near it any more as that's the one thing I know will cause me definite aggravation now.

I was diagnosed 2 years ago. I lived with this pain, thinking it was normal since I was in grade school. My mother has never been diagnosed, but she is the only one who understood my pain and also had the same pain. So she thought it was normal. She also didn't understand why my dad didn't understand why I stayed home sick some days because of it. So I think my mom has it and I got it from her. I noticed it gets worse with anxiety and stress. It hurts. I dont like it. (Only women with kids will get this) intense ibs cramps to me are the closest thing to labor pains I can think of. It's horrible. Oh! I also developed the burping, and i have a gastrointestinal issues

I think this is what I might have. I started suffering from constipation as a teen. Not often thankfully. In my early 20s I got horribly sick and diarrhea accompanied everything else. Ever since, I've been having watery stool, sudden cramps and the occasional constipation. It's not bad or life altering (I'm really thankful), but it's quite annoying. It really acts up when I sick or it's that time of the month though.

These symptoms run in my family and I have it too. I don't get pain, though, I get intestinal cramping which at times felt like it would border on pain. When it happens I better hope to get to a bathroom in time or I will have an accident. I'm so glad that my supervisors at work are understanding about it but it would keep me from getting any other job where I can't leave my station. I have to make note of where public bathrooms are and I have to come up with plan B if I can't get to one, which sometimes doesn't work out if I can't find a place to hide and use a plastic shopping bag as a toilet. During Covid when all of the public bathrooms were closed down people had to resort to ducking in an alley way behind dumpsters to do their thing, something I was prepared to do anyway.

Due to even simple worry our stomach contracts. And doesn't feel like relax stomach... We have to observe this very carefully,....I think this is the reason.. it starts feeling abnormal,..

The diarrhea , bloating, constipation and cramps aren't going to end my life. I drink 2 to 3 cus of hot coffee (black ) every morning and that causes my system to clean itself out. I can't eat breakfast or lunch. Only a very little for dinner. Sometimes I purposely eat at a buffett and eat all the trigger foods. This is when I am damn SICK AND TIRED OF NOT BEING ABLE TO EAT. I MAKE SURE TO SIT NEXT TO THE RESTROOMS AND THAT IT IS WELL STOCKED WITH TOILET PAPER. Damned if I am going to let IBS cripple me

Most of the time ibs and digestive problems is nerve problem. Your nerves are sensitive down in your gut area so is easy to be over stimulated causing your gut to put pressure on the nerves to cause you to be nausea, diarrhea, bloating and all. Stress is number one. Get rid of it. Go on a juice diet and do not cheat do this for 30 days and I promise your pain will go away. Also eat a high fiber diet but easy things to digest

I go to the bathroom ten to twelve times a day. Some days more or less. This has continued now for at least four years. No bloating cramping or any other symptom but chronic loose stools. And yes it is affecting my quality of life. I'm afraid when i get older. I am overweight and perhaps that is also a factor. Also I do not drink enough water. If someone has advice on this I'd appreciate it. I will be contacting my doctor shortly about this problem again.

A year ago I randomly got such severe abdominal pain that I almost passed out while standing, twice. After the second time, I could no longer pass a bowel movement or really move at all. I went to the emergency room and subsequent doctors visits until I ended up at the gastroenterologist office and after doing a colonoscopy they discovered nothing wrong with me. They sent me home with the low-FODMAP diet and I haven’t heard from them since.. the diet did help my symptoms go away but without knowing for sure what caused that attack my stress level hasn’t gone down at all.. I live in constant fear of being in that position again, I didn’t use the bathroom (naturally, without the aid of diuretics) for 3 months. I’ve been trying to do research on IBS but I haven’t found anyone else with such severe symptoms, please anyone tell me if this is “normal”

it is normal l guess because we have the same symptoms. l passed out during IBS attack. at the beginning of the attack l would have cramping, abdominal pain and cold clammy perspiration. all the blood vessels on my head would start pulsating and l can still like my teeth are pulsating too. then everything would get dark and l pass out at one time. so what l do so l would not pass out when it start getting dark is to lie down on the floor no matter where l am at. l had lie down so many cold floor, thrown away underwear and blankets. l messed up some bathrooms too. l was given a good pill to manage my issue so "accidents" are becoming fewer now. but l till get it every now and then.

Use to drink alcohol 2-3 days out of the week. Sometimes very heavy. One day I woke up the next morning and had a sharp pain in my upper abdomen. Ran to the restroom and it was basically liquid poop. That was October 2020. Since then I’ve had a dull gnawing pain on my upper left abdomen. Sometimes it goes away completely for months to the point where I forget about it. And then it will suddenly be back along with constipation/bloating/gas and dull pain. It was usually after I drink. But now it’s starting to happen with regular foods. Went to the doc and got an endoscopy done. Mild case of GERD is all they found. Started reducing my drinking/red meat intake dramatically. I also started taking a fiber supplement which really bulked up my stools and was working really well. Started to to have pain again and went to the doc. They finally scheduled me for a colonoscopy but they ended up pushing the date back a few times. After months of being fine and almost canceling my colonoscopy appointment, I had another episode of constipation/bloating/gas/dull pain in upper left abdomen. It has been persistent for two weeks now. Not sure what this could be. I’ve noticed specks of black almost pepper like substance in my poop. And jus today for the first time ever I noticed what I think was blood on the toilet paper. Not in my stool. May be due to hemroids from all the straining I’ve been doing? I have my colonoscopy app two weeks from now. I hope all goes well.

No sign of cancer or ulcers. I was honestly shocked. The doctor said that most likely I am developing a gluten problem that’s causing my bloating/pain and constipation. After not eating for almost two days because of the procedure, I went to have my first meal and almost instantly had dull pain again. So I am still left with questions. What has really helped me was definitely limiting my drinking and intermittent fasting. Also, I think the peace of mind of knowing it’s not cancer or anything else that’s potentially serious really helps mentally. I was truly prepared for the worst. Sometimes it would be a few drinks sometimes more than that. With one drink I could instantly feel pain and other times I felt no pain at all then the next day, I would be in agony. It was hard but I put a stop to that. The most important thing that helped me besides that was fasting. I fasted for 2 months. I would simply drink water and coffee until I had dinner at home at around 5pm. Definitely felt a huge difference in my stomach and eliminated my pain/bloating. Gave my body a chance to actually cleanse Itself. It was truly a game changer

I had this only gut burning and gas gurgling in stomach but nothing in throat. you'll need to see a doc or pharmacist. Do not use apple cider vinegar it has a pH level of 2-3 very acidic which will burn the unprotected gut lining stay away from acidic foods and only consume alkaline foods like green leafy vegs.

In the worst case when intestinal discomfort begins, what to do? .I am not a doctor but I would do this 1: it would make me vomit to get everything that hurts out of my stomach. (This would only work on the first day of the intestinal pain problem.). 2: In a large taxa I could Milk and 6 large minced garlic cloves, something that can be easily swallowed, mix and drink (everything), I would do this twice, 6 hours after the first one I would drink another one. In this case, for those whose stomach hurts when they drink milk, it won't hurt, because I know, because it also happened to me that the right side of my stomach hurt, but taking this doesn't hurt anymore, all the Thanks god . 3: I hope with all my heart that it works for you. 4: If I already have the problem in my intestines for several days, I begin to eliminate all animal protein, meat (beef, chicken), eggs, milk and all its derivatives that contain animal protein from my food. I should only eat vegetables all kinds and vitamins. For how long ? I'm not sure 1 year or 2 years ago I noticed when I got better but when I ate meat it got worse.

That sweaty feeling I associate with anxiety because I get this feeling when I am feeling stressed or anxious. It may also have to do with your hormones levels. Having to strain to go all of the time, I stay constipated especially when I eat dairy... Constipation will make you feel miserable and bloated. Alot of doctors believe IBS is linked to serotonin levels and that's why you experience depression and anxiety along with the stomach issues... I’ve been having really bad abdominal pain.. especially on the upper left side of my abdomen.. also when I press on the area on my upper stomach, I feel like there’s a heart beat or a baby kicking me, u feel the same exact thing right after my left rib cage. It’s so irritating, I also have really bad constipation and the abdominal pain hurts more when I cannot move my bowl and when I’m stuck for a couple of days. Ugh

Ive had all the tests and a camera pill. I know its not damaging my insides but jeez those cramps are on a par with labour with the sweating and groaning . Its awful. And after all that has calmed down, feel like my intestines have been beaten up and are raw. Its a HORRIBLE condition. Also Have Fibromyalgia and Ankylosing Spondilitis. What a fun time I have :/

I poop like 3 to 5 times a day and its never solid. I also have to whipe 30 minutes 1 hour 2 hours after I poop. Its like my butthole leeks shit oil all day after I poop? Does that sound like IBS or ass cancer? This is a serious question.

It’s not a sign of that “C” word ! You should worry about about that if you have blood in your stool . And even that could be cause by an internal hemroid . As far as the loose stool I’m not sure you need to go to a specialist and tell them all your symptoms . I think I may have Ibs but mine is all constipation no loose stool . I was freaking out and I’ve had x ray , c-t scans (multiple) , and made my doctor give me a colonoscopy just a week ago . And I’m going to take my ass right back in there until they tell me what is causing this out of nowhere issue . I was fine just 2 monthes ago . So I will demand help and then I will say well if you can figure it out for me then you need to refere me to a specialist who can . Because I’m not playing with my damn health
