i am a former catholic and yes catholics say it is on sunday they also say many other lies they worship mary, they use figures and bow in front of them, they believe in purgatory a lot of lies i realized that are lies when i read the Bible, i was able to go out of that religion because i put God in first place in my life, i showed to my family some of the places in the Bible that show that priests lie and they don't care about God word even after knowing they choose to obey priests instead of God, loving God is putting Him in first place and not all people want to do that, i am alone in my journey in obeying God because nobody in my family care, God word is true my family already yell at me and act with violence against me because they don't agree with God word, but i know that at the end it will be worth, that is why i listen to this channel they believe the Bible is Real ! God bless you ! 😊 i give the Glory to God because He open my spiritual eyes and that is how i go out of that false religion ( catholicism), God will judge those that teach lies

That’s well and good but I think you forgot to mention to this ministry that even if they’re preaching the sabbath they are still in apostasy because they are not within remnant church (SDA) that’s part of your 3 angels message. They need to leave their church, accept the Investigative Judgment Sanctuary doctrine of 1844, accept the writing of EGW because that’s the spirit of prophecy and they need to re-baptized to be in the remnant church.

God has people in every church, & I believe this video is proof of how people are being called into further light. There will many people in the kingdom of heaven which didn't have the light we have, in terms of having the scriptures, or never hearing about the spirit of prophesy, but they lived up to the light they had and God will honor them. The three angles messages is an end time proclamation, it's calling people out of spiritual darkness into light, and to deny that many churches are not in darkness, or that apostasy isn't abounding now more than ever is to be blind to the sign of the times. But this video is very encouraging. Just a simple fact, Adventism is the fastest growing movement taking place now, and for that we are being attacked by many other denominations unfortunately. Peoples eyes are being opened to the sign of the times, they see what's happening in the world. People's faith has been shakened, and they're looking for hard food, not milk. prophesy is clearly coming to pass which is why we know the end is soon, the last movement's will be rapid ones.

I respectfully disagree with what you said. The bible is clear that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. The remnant church keeps the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus. We would both agree on this. However Ellen wasn't the only prophet. The bible is full of prophets. To suggest that you can only be saved by being within the sda church is false. There are plenty of good Christians that have been baptised and fulfill the requirements that aren't sda members. Where in scripture does it say these people are lost. The spirit of prophecy does not single Ellen out over all the other prophets. Did Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Elijah and others have the spirit of prophecy? Where in revelation does it say they are excluded? Doesn't scripture tell God's people to come out of Babylon? God's church is obedient Christians, it's not denominational in my opinion.

Very well said. I totally agree. There are good people that didn't have the opportunity to gain much understanding before their lives were cut short, but they still had faith. I'm sure allowances would be made depending on the circumstances. Similar to the thief on the cross. Young children are sometimes taken too early. I can't see them being lost because they were too young to understand scripture. I have faith that God will reveal things that give people a clear choice. The latter rain, children having prophecies, men having visions etc is written in scripture and still to come. Apparently Noah's ark is going to be excavated soon too. There will be enough evidence for lovers of the truth to see the light in my opinion. Unfortunately some people love the world too much and will refuse to change their lifestyles. We can only pray for them and hope they open their eyes and hearts.

As a new 7th Day Adventist I am impressed with your teaching! I attended Sunday churches for 47 years and always wondered and even questioned the keeping of Gods law as a consequence of salvation. As I studied and searched, the Lord lead me to the 7th Day Adventist. They teach what I was seeing in the word and everything began to make sense.

Saturday was, is, and will always be the Sabbath, and it's those who keep it that people seem to despise. Looking back through history it's always been Sabbath keepers that were persecuted. If you look into the 1260 year prophecy 538-1798 there was a Sunday law passed and worship enforced, if anyone didn't go along and instead kept the 7th day they lost their lives. Everyone really should know this because history is going to repeat before the Lord returns. In fact if anyone knows who Senator Sylvia Allen is, she's one among others that's said we really need a day of rest and worship. It may sound good on the surface, but when you know the intentions behind it, it doesn't sound so great.

Notice every single time the mark of the beast is mentioned, so is worshipping the beast. We are fighting a spiritual war. Why would the mark be a physical thing? God's mark isn't physical, it's keeping the 10 commandments and having faith in Yashuah. I think the chip/jab propaganda is only a tactic of our adversary to confuse us further. [17]It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Ezekiel 20 emphasizes the importance of Israel keeping Sabbath holy, again we are grafted in. This chapter also used the word ot when referring to the Sabbath twice (verses 12 & 20).
      Ezekiel 20:12-14
[12]Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
[13]But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
[14]But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
      Ezekiel 20:18-22
[18]But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
      [19]I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
[20]And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.
[21]Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
[22]Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
2 Timothy 2:19 also tells us that we are sealed in Christ, yet in the same verse it says to depart from iniquity. Lawlessness. This is the definition of the word seal used in the original Greek. Mark of genuineness. Will we be sheep who come when we are called, or do we follow traditions that are not from scripture? It's a question everyone needs to seriously consider.
      Strongs G4973 sphragis
σφραγίς sphragís, sfrag-ece'; probably strengthened from G5420; a signet (as fencing in or protecting from misappropriation); by implication, the stamp impressed (as a mark of privacy, or genuineness), literally or figuratively:-seal.
      2 Timothy 2:19-21
[19]Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
[20]But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
[21]If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Love one another as we love ourself. It says part of the reason Yashuah had to come was to experience life as we do..understand the struggle and temptations we face..we should be making an effort to really understand Him. Why are Sabbaths so important to our Father, and why is His Son named Lord of the Sabbath? It's consistently a huge deal throughout the OT. Yes, we have rest everyday in our hope He has given us, but one day...He will return..the story isn't over yet. It is a shadow of things to come (see Hebrews 4). Keeping Sabbath is how we honor our brother, King Yashuah, the way His Father ordained for Him the very first week of creation. It's about the day He returns to glorify His people, and take sin away from the world..divide light from darkness..gathering us up in the clouds and ushering in the Kingdom. Why don't we work on Sabbath? Because it's a reflection of the 1,000 year Sabbath of Yahuah. A weekly reminder of the hope we've been given, and the mercy we will be shown at the resurrection. Sabbath is opened with the blast of a shofar..why? Because that's the sound we will hear when we are called up. We are to gather in fellowship, sing praises, pray, and worship together..just like we will at the wedding feast. We study to learn what the scriptures say, because they are manna from Heaven, what will be written on our hearts when we are glorified with Yashuah. The feast days go through the entire story of salvation by His Son throughout the year. Of course our enemy would do everything to keep us from guarding His Holy Days. What He has set-apart, we should also set-apart. Much love, and may Yah bless you all, strengthen your faith and wisdom, and bring you shalom. May He help our unbelief, and soften our hearts to the truth so we can understand. 💙

Is Jesus Christ the High Priest? Yes. Do the priests profane the sabbath but remain guiltless as Jesus said? Yes.
Jesus did not rise on sunday, He rose on the sabbath day. Roman Catholicism changed the resurrection from sabbath to sunday and they did this to justify changing the sabbath to sunday. I can prove it. Look for my video on my channel. The original greek language did not have commas, so the translators, who were protestants coming out of catholicism, had already been taught by rome that Jesus rose on sunday, but that is not what the Greek New Testament says. This was the only way they could justify changing the sabbath to sunday, to say that Jesus rose from the dead on sunday. Please watch my videos on this subject. The image of the beast is sunday sacredness. God only made the sabbath days holy and God planned it from the beginning that the Son of Man would be Lord of the sabbath day. Rome says sunday is the Lord's day, but their lord is the pope himself, the antichrist. Thanks to the prophet Daniel we can pinpoint exactly what day of the week Jesus died and we know that He rose 3 days after His death. Daniel prophesied that Messiah would be killed in the middle of the week, or wednesday, on Passover day, 3 days later is sabbath. The women disciples rested on the sabbath and then early on the 1st day of the week, while it was still dark, they went to the tomb and found it ALREADY empty. Jesus had ALREADY been resurrected before sunday on the sabbath day! When we remove the commas and put them in the proper place we can see that the verse says the women found the empty tomb on sunday but it does not say that Jesus rose on sunday. Shocking? Yes, but true!! When we remove the false teaching of sunday resurrection, the catholics no more have an excuse to say that sunday is now the Lord's day. Remember, Jesus himself said, The Son of Man is Lord even of the SABBATH DAY. He also said He will raise the dead in Christ at the LAST day, meaning the millennial sabbath when He returns (see John 6). His saints will rise on sabbath following in His foot steps!

He died on Passover, on a wednesday, was buried in the evening as thursday began at sunset (the first day of unleavened bread, the High sabbath), and resurrected on the seventh day sabbath day, the 3rd day after His death, just as Daniel prophesied that He would die in the middle of the week (wednesday) in Daniel 9:27 KJV. He was in the tomb 72 hrs, 3 days and 3 nights, just as Jonah was in the whale 3 days and 3 nights. In Hebrew 33 is the number of promise, so 3 days and 3 nights is symbolized by 33, or two 3's.
The antichrist teaches Yeshua rose on sun day so that they can justify changing the sabbath to sunday. They say, "We keep sunday sacred because the Lord rose on sunday from the grave", however that is a deception. The sabbath of God is the 7th day, but the antichrist has chosen sun day to be a sacred day. It is the venerable day of the sun god, which the pagan romans declared to be sacred. The antichrist(papal rome) was born out of ancient pagan rome. I made a couple videos on this subject if you want to check them out or go to other ministries who teach this same truth, such as Almond House Fellowship. God bless ❤️

What everyone seems to overlook, is that the definition of sin is violating the Torah, which includes the Ten Commandments, specifically, the Fourth.
Luke 1:33 says Yeshua rules over the House of Jacob, Israel, and Yahweh in Exodus 31 says that the Seventh day Sabbath is a perpetual sign between Him and His people.
So a sin punishable by death before sundown on the testimony of two or more witnesses before Yeshua defeated the cross, made it useless, but now Christians spit on it?
Does that seem fair? Would Yahweh be just in doing so?

For example: SDA's believe that the "LAW" are just the 10 Commandments. For years I've tried telling SDA's they don't know the true definition of sin. We know Cathlickers and her Protestant daughters can't define sin at all, but SDA's (like Apollos 18:24- 26), need to learn "the way of ALAHAIM more perfectly."
In the last part of your comment you describe the unfairness of Y'SHUA having to die for a sin (transgression of the Sabbath) no one cares about and I get it. But if you have a chance, reword that last paragraph to make your thought clearer for the unlearned.

From as early as I can remember I always processed Sunday as the last day of the week, and in more recent decades as a math teacher I've delved too deep in orderings, spaces, and different kinds of indexing to do anything but roll my eyes at this topic. You can declare any day the start of the week and construct an isomorphism. We also know the identity of the days shifted as more accurate calendars were calculated and adopted. Neither Saturday nor Sunday in this year is the Saturday of the previous calendar.
Instead of navel-gazing about which day the Sabbath is, the more important question is, are you honoring that Sabbath? Have you kept it holy and separate? That is what is important.

Σαββατον is a transliteration of the word shabbat/sabbath, which denote the last day of the week, but it was translated as the first day of the week, which is Sunday, because they wanted to promote Constantine Sunday god-worship! In Greek, days are as follows: Monday -δευτερα, meaning the second day etc. to Thursday, the fourth day, then comes Friday - Παρασκευή the day of preparation (for what?, for the Sabbath/Shabbat of course) and κιριακι is the day of the Lord (which re-placed to suit the Hellenized Churchianity narrative), I believe the First day name of that day! In the Didache, an early Christian document dating from the late 1st or early 2nd century, there is a reference to the breaking of bread (the Mass). The text mentions that Christians should gather for the Eucharist "on the Lord's Day" (Sunday), which is the day after the Jewish Sabbath, or the "eighth day."
The term "eighth day" is used symbolically to refer to Sunday, indicating a new creation or a new beginning in Christian theology. In this context, the "eighth day" signifies the day after the Sabbath (the seventh day), symbolizing the new creation inaugurated by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, the Didache is emphasizing that the Christian practice of breaking bread should be observed on Sunday, not just on the traditional Sabbath but on the day that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus. This practice reflects an early Christian shift away from the Jewish Sabbath observance to a distinct Christian tradition.

I don't understand why 119 Ministries would give any validity to passages (Acts 20 and I Cor 16) as if they affirm a Sunday 'sabbath'? Both verses which you point out as 'exceptions' are no such thing. They *SEEM TO ME* to be clear references to one of the Sabbaths or Weeks leading up to Shavuot. Acts 20 is more explicit with verses 6, 7 and 16 directly referencing the time of year. I Cor is not as specific in it's immediate context, but, by the FACT that Torah obedience is still commanded by our Messiah as the Fruit of our Salvation, there can be no doubt of what Shaul is saying.
The possibility of 'believers' meeting on the first day of the week during the time of the apostles has no bearing on whether the Sabbath, declared set apart by YHWH at creation, remains as our Father has declared. Finally, the *NEED* for an edict from a tyrant to keep from 'judaizing the Sabbath', tells you everything you need to know. Nothing changed in the Scriptural (Tanakh) Hebrew 'faith', other than that the Messiah of Israel exampled exactly what that has, is and will continue to look like.
Yes, we can 'split hairs' over the changes of 'location' of praise and worship, but, the precepts and commandments still remain, with each of us going through the process of intelligently hearing and executing His Mitzvot, the best we understand each given day.
I love your ministry, it was the first one that I found that was able to help answer the questions or point me in the Way of Truth in Life, that I might better understand what our Father in Heaven desires from His children, the children of Israel. Wow, that was just about a decade ago now. How far we have all come, and even more, how far we will ALL go together.

Ignatius, an Ante-Nicene Church Father who lived in the late first century (i.e., about 50 to 100 A.D.) wrote in his Epistle to the Magnesians (Chapter IX)wrote this:
"If, therefore, those who were brought up in the ancient order of things have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord's Day...." Later he writes, "Let us therefore no longer keep the Sabbath after the Jewish manner, and rejoice in days of idleness; for "he that does not work, let him not eat.... But let every one of you keep the Sabbath after a spiritual manner, rejoicing in meditation on the law, not in relaxation of the body, admiring the workmanship of God..."
Also, Paul says in Colossians 2:16 that no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival of a new moon or Sabbath day, things of which are a mere shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ." That is, some of the Old Testament Law was a foreshadowing of Christ. But since He has come, it is no longer necessary as a foreshadowing since we need no longer look forward to His appearing. He has risen ! ! ! !

Colossians 2 is grossly misinterpreted. The issue Paul was addressing was that of ascetic Gnostics condemning the church for CELEBRATING (eating and drinking) as they took part in (keeping) the Holy days, including the Sabbath. He was not telling them not to be judged for not keeping the holy days. Also, that passage says absolutely nothing about Christ being the "substance" (or "reality") of anything. Here is a better rendering of the passage:
Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in meat and in drink, either in part of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days - which are a shadow of things to come - but the body of Christ, _which is the Church._

@@Learningthetruth7 Making every day a holy day is the exact opposite of what it means to be holy. Being "holy" means to be set-apart. Hence, keeping the seventh day holy means treating it differently (set-apart) from all the other days of the week. @sourmilkministries9445 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@atobpe Generally speaking, what you said could be possible - that one could dedicate or set-apart every day for God. However, the issue at hand is not a general one. No, we're specifically addressing the Seventh Day Sabbath, and that context makes all the difference. The Command is to set-apart the seventh day - from the other six days of the week - as Holy.
Exodus 20:8-11 AFV Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. (9) Six days you shall labor and do all your work. (10) But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter; your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your livestock, nor the stranger within your gates; (11) For in six days the LORD made the heaven and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it.
Thus, one cannot arbitrarily decide that they're going to make every day a "Sabbath"; or even suppose to choose another day (other than the seventh day - AKA: "Saturday") as their "Sabbath", as so many Christians do. Moreover, how could one suppose to keep every day as a Sabbath, as that would require them to never work? No, in the context of keeping the Sabbath, one simply cannot suppose to keep it "every day".

Here, lets make this simple: Kindly point me to a single verse of Scripture that ACTUALLY says that Christ is our Sabbath, and I'll concede that I'm the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. But, alas, that's not going to happen. And, do you want to know why? Because no such thing exists.

No, the problem is our transgression of the Law, otherwise known as SIN. And, mind you, that's what we've been freed from. Romans 8:2 NKJV For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 6:15 NRSV What then? Should we sin [transgress the Law] because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!

SeventhDayAdventists do, as a whole, not condemn Sundaykeepers. Ellen White, one of our most important founders, wrote that many Sundaykeepers have not yet received the light about the Sabbath, and that God will work in their favor. She also wrote, that only those, who knowingly break the Sabbath and keep Sunday instead, will receive the mark of the beast. A time will come, where everybody has been warned. Those, who reject this warning, "because they have not received the love of the truth, that they might be saved" will receive the mark of the beast. But that does not mean, that there won't be Catholics or Evangelicals in heaven. There are many sincere Christians in all denominations who genuinely love the Lord and walk according to the light, that they have.

Plot twist. Was it on " THORS -day?
Odin is actually Nimrod, which is only a description, Nimrod in Hebrew means "rebel".
He was also known it is argued as Gilgamesh.
Now it is said that Nimrod married his mother. That would be Frigga.
Now Nimrod , he gets cut up into 14 pieces and Semiramis can only find 13. So she erects, pun intended, a phallic symbol to replace it. There is a really big one in Rome that came from Egypt. Washington also.
Then Tammuz comes along. Allegedly brought in an egg by his father the sun god on winter solstice.
But he was a mighty hunter like his dad and killed by a pig.
So mom/wife created a little pagan fertility rite to honour him.
It begins on Ash Woden's (Odin) day, Wednesday, where they paint a "T" on the forehead in ash, and then they observe the "Forty day of weeping for Tammuz".
This ends on Good Frigga day , Friday.
Then an orgy where they dip eggs in the blood of the sacrificed 3-month-old children from last years orgy, post term abortion essentially.
A Sun-day worship service, it is sun worship, which ends with the eating of the beast that killed him, an Easter ham.
It is paganism. It is easy to spot. It is always the father, the son, and the mother.
    Isis, Horus, Seb.
They just change the names and some of the rites.
Hence, few are sacrificing babies on Easter.

The only reason I would go to a sunday service is if I were trying to learn something specific about them, maybe respecting an invite from a friend whos actively studying the laws, or for some other purpose of furthering the gospel. And I would consider it "work" to do so.

Hi and thank you, it’s a bit confusing knowing what the Shabbat means “he rested” but The word Saturday can be traced back to the Latin Sāturnī diēs (literally “Saturn's day”). The 2 don’t mean the same. My question is how to know if sabbath is to be only on Saturday “Saturn’s day” and not other day? Why we would follow the suns calendar and not the moons calendar like they did in the past? Or is it on one’s discretion to give to our lord our rest day? I love our heavenly fathers and do want to do his will but some say one thing and evidence says another. Agreed was a political change but so it might be determining people’s sabbath that may have nothing to do with the meaning of the one day Saturday. Hi @sunnybatters5044. Your question is one so many people have.
I grew up keeping Saturday and not Sunday, and I still do (for full disclosure).
In regards to what day is God's Sabbath, God himself indicated this during The Israelite wanting in the wilderness. God, when he was feeding them manna, intentionally did not make any manna fall on Sabbath so they would not go out and gather/work on that day.
That same Sabbath is the exact same Sabbath the Jews keep today.
GOD HAS ALWAYS PRESERVED HIS TRUTH. When people wanted to snuff God's word out, God made a way for his word to be preserved.
And just like how there is confusion on the Sabbath issue today, God has once again preserved a means of knowing the truth for those that seek it with all their heart.
May God send His Spirit to guide you into all truth.

Well if you look in the bible, the only day that had a name is the 7th day and it's called the Sabbath. Every other day is identified by number so God did not make the days. So different people groups would have put names to the days but it was either the Babylonians or the Romans that came up with the names that lasted until today and they named the days largely based on what was worshipped on that day since they were pagans. The sun god was worshipped on the first day of the week, that is why they called it Sunday. So that is partially the reason for the names. Feel free to do a deeper dive into it. But Im other languages like Spanish, the word for Saturday is Sabado which actually comes from Sabbath and not Saturday.

But him having long or short hair is not something, that breaks a doctrine. (I'm not sure, what was considered long hair at the time)

“And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

Because the church never kept the Sabbath on Saturday. Every time there isva reference to the church meeting together after the resurrection, it is on Sunday. The Resurrection changed everything.

I am an atypical Mormon. In my faith the Sabbath is, and always has been, from around 6 pm Friday to 6 pm Saturday. But I also believe Jesus gave his followers a NEW commandment to meet and break bread on the first day of the week. It has been correct therefore that the churches have held their weekly meetings on Sunday.
But the churches have not realized that the Lord's Day commandment does not replace the Sabbath commandment. The Lord's day is a day of work. And in fact, church services can be a lot of work.

They didn't move it just one day.
They moved it to the opposite end of the week.
From, "His finished miracle, a holy day", to, "In the beginning, before the miracle began."
By the same people who worship His corpse with a pierce in His side where the blood and water had flowed, meaning He has given up the ghost.
His dead body the last moment before defeating sin and death, and their pagan idol, the cross.
And why are you sitting around idly in a building with a pagan cross, that worships Tammuz's birth on christmas, and his death on easter. (Ezekiel 8, an abomination), on the first day of the work week?
You might want to look at 1 Corinthians 5, as it says I should not even eat with the idolatrous.

We don't keep the Sabbath entirely the same way we eat everything, the same way we dont pay attention whether one is circumcised or not, the same way we don't do any ceremonies at church, because our faith is not work based lest we boast.
We believe we're saved by faith in Christ alone, and that deeds are a result or manifestation of that faith.

If Christian's kept the Sabbath on Saturday and again meet on Sunday to worship, it sounds radiculous how lazy they were! They almost rested for two consecutive days instead of one? What did they not say or do in church that necessitated coming back again for another worship day the following day continuously? Was the Sunday gathering just a weekday activity?
    see, Acts 20:7; 1Cor.16:2; Rev. 1:10.
You may not agree, because even Peter the Apostle found it difficult to leave Judaism totally, but not Paul, the Apostle to the gentiles.

This is Saturday keepers Bible twisting. Acts 17 does not teach that Paul went to the synagogue to worship. He went there to debate. This was his job. Paul was working. The synagogue is not a church. The word worship is not in Acts 17.

@@searching-for-truth It depends on what kind of worship it is. Worshipping God or worshipping Saturn.
The same goes for Sunday worship. It depends on what kind of worship it is. Worshipping God or worshipping the Sun.
Thus why the names of the day do not mean anything, only what do you do on those days means something. Worshipping God or Worshipping planets and stars.
That was the point in my sarcastic comment to the person above who claimed that Christians who do Sunday Church services are Sun worshippers. Why shouldn't Saturday not make Saturday church attendees Saturn Worshippers if we are using the same line of logic?

The "first day of the week is mentioned 8 (eight) times in the Bible, all in the NT. The first five are the day that Messiah rose from the tomb, the 6th is later that same day..
The 7th time shows that there was a Jewish tradition being held in an upper room. We're told there were "many lamps in the room," so it was obviously evening, NOT "Sunday" morning. They would not have wasted candles and oil in the daytime. This meeting was, and still is, called by Jews a "Havdalah" service. Havdalah means "separation." They were leaving the Sabbath behind and greeting the new week. Paul didn't "stop" at midnight. In a meeting that might normally last 2-3 hours, he "extended" his message til then.
The last (eighth) time the first day of the week is mentioned in the NT, Paul told the Corinthians to bring their contributions on that day. To prove that they didn't consider that to be the Sabbath, Jews don't even handle money on the Sabbath.

@@DesertGardensHomestead Luke 23:56 or 24:1 (The Interlinear Bible, vol. 4 by Green, one of 3 interlinears I have) depending on how it's divided, says in Greek "on the 'one' of the sabbaton..." At least one interlinear translation shows "week" under "sabbaton." (I didn't look up the other occurrences of the word, but I suspect that they're similar.) Hebrew 'shabbat' comes from 'shavua,' 'seven.' The seven-day week was referred to as a "seven" probably thru common usage among the Hebrews.

The Sabbath has and always will be Saturday. The day that Christ rested in the tomb. We worship on the day of HIS resurrection. The fulfillment of that prophecy. As for what appeared to be a change was when Christianity became legal and an Emperor of Rome allowed for all Christians to worship on Sunday. Thus becomes the myth of replacing the Sabbath.
