    It's sad that it needed a death to have stricter stalking laws. I remember a discussion where we talked about how to get away with murder/revenge. The other girl and I way agreed that stalking the victim and terrorizing them mentally with (cyber-)stalking is scarier than death for us and the stalker can get away quite 'well' (some fine and restriction order). Too bad the law is barely ever applied here, especially when it comes to stalking. Just recently in the news there was a lady who filed stalking charges against her ex because he was always calling her. It was ruled "not stalking" because she never actually answered the phone! And a poor lady was unalived in a subway bathroom a few months ago by her stalker, in that case the police had wanted to take him into custody but a judge decided he wasn't dangerous. Also, nayeon's stalker is still here in Korea and still not in any trouble. The stalking laws here are just a joke. The new laws won't change a thing.

      One of my male friends was stalked by a girl (not in South Korea) and he had to fight for a restraining order and for charges against her after he broke in to his home. Basically they said he's a guy, why should he be scared of a girl? Eventually he video recorded her death threats and she got in trouble, but it was really stressful and took ages, and he was threatened and stalked the entire time (for months). What if these idols go abroad and they don’t have the strict laws like the USA or South Korea? That’s what I’m concerned for. I hope all the countries that any of these idols will travel to would do the same in strengthening their own Anti-Stalking law.

    IT IS ABOUT TIME!! Thank you, South Korea, for finally giving celebrities and those who are victims of stalkers/saesangs, the protection they have needed for years! I really hope a lot get thrown in jail for their sick behavior.

    Such people doing such stuffs makes me sick to my stomach, ik tht idols don't really get privacy alot of times ,tey are constantly in the eyes of media tey chose this career path n m sure tey are aware of the struggles too ... but sick people going up to such extend it's just disgusting , really wish we could expose each of this shameless, heartless people to the world, ik tht companies hve really been ignoring all this BS alot of the times , i really want them to start taking serious actions on such people

    Im glad that this has been implemented. However, I'm still looking forward for the enforcement of this Law and how many stalkers would get caught and be sent to jail. As these stalkers are way beyond crazy or insane, I can't wait to hear future news that this Law has been set in action.

    • @kpopfanphotos
      @kpopfanphotos ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol. Airport is a public area as the other person said, and those people are allowed to be there not only due to it being a public area, but also the company literally tells media to show up in hopes that they'll leak it.
      Why do you think idols arrive to the airport in airport fashion? They know people are gonna be there because they told them to show up. Cmon this is common knowledge at this point.

    Long overdue!!! time to sue all those sasaengs!
    Also I'm not sure about dsptch and other medias, they have the so-called media/journalist privileges, in relation to their job to 'be the citizens' voice' or 'revealing truths for the public.' it'll be tricky for media outlets, but at least crazy rich people who has nothing better to do with their money and stalking idols can now be sued!!

    I am sure some cases where sasaeng gets access/find out private information like their phone no. its probably their company staff that leaked it to them. I forgot where i watch it but an ex sasaeng confess about it
    i wish these staff gets fired and get blacklisted on these line of work.

    The issue of course is loopholes. What is the difference between a sasaeng and an entertainment reporter looking for a scoop? To be honest, not much. And if a sasaeng has a large online following, can't they legally defend their actions as part of popular media? I'm sure we'll be seeing this defence in court for wealthy sasaengs.

    I think we need one more law now and it is to arrest all the false accuser against idols. There are many idols who was accused for doing nothing wrong and they lost their job as the result, we need it to stop and let the idols be the one laughing at the accuser’s face at the end instead not the accuser laughing because they successful got the one idol they hate to lose his career. That just isn’t fair, why does cop investigate but didn’t fine or arrest those accusers, I felt like they just got away with so many rumors it hurt 😢

    And since the location of the camp where Jin will be assigned for his military service was leaked, he warned everyone at the first place about not coming to the camp for safety reasons. If sasaengs did this once again, they're not only putting their lives into danger but also they might face a punishment because of this law.
