I’m working on revising proofing my debut novel and so thankful for the tips you and Bethany have. I’m freaked out hoping I do all I can to ready my book for beta reader, which I got to find, next month. It’s really comforting to have you talk about everything that suddenly became my world this year.

I didn't realize Word could do that. What an absolute Godsend, thank you Mandi! My voice gets so worn out when I edit my novels while reading them aloud myself
I love the immersive reader read aloud feature. It helped me so much with my second book that I haven’t published yet.

During your editing process, when do you use beta readers? Before copy editing? After proof reading? I just found your channel, and I'm loving your videos!
I do beta edits early on. So after I write the first draft, I go through the book again to do self-edits and fix any major plot things I'm aware of, then send it off to beta. Once I implement their feedback, it gets sent to my copy editor. Then finally after copy edits, I move on to proofreading.
Will you do a video on how you updated your covers? were you able to use the same ISBN and whatnot because it's the same book?
