Same thing I thought. This could’ve been addressed in private as keke is a private person. But she deserves to feel beautiful especially after she gave birth.
@@MegaTheman25 if it was both he wouldn't have posted Keke in a similar light online. This is pretty much only about his ego and control. I empathized with him until I found out he did the same. He lost whatever moral ground he had to stand on when he did that.
What bothered me most was the idea that because Keke Palmer is a mother she should cover up. That her body is then a product of her baby and baby daddy and a representation of her family and not just her own. That’s fucking dumb. Her body is just her body. It doesn’t belong to anyone else but her.
Be a parent is also....lowkey....super sexual anyway. Like having biological children, we know someone was busting it down. I always kind of found it ironic that after having bio children the person is suddenly expected to be prudish. Bio children is literally physical evidence that someone is having an orgasm.
And this is exactly why so many young women have a strained relationship with the idea of motherhood- the erasure of their identity that tends to come with it.
As a mother to two children, yeah after you have them your body, your time and your life is no longer your own. It’s now devoted to the little humans you have to grow and raise. So yah actually the way we decide to model being a woman is exactly what you teach your children. No it’s not always one to one but acting as a single childless person (mother or father) when being a parent usually has a negative effect on the children whether resolved or unresolved as an adult. If y’all wana do whatever y’all wana do then people should stay single and childless because it’s a sacrifice you kind gotta be willing to make.

Boundaries are not meant to control the way your partner dresses, acts or who they speak to. They are meant to be a way for partners to say “hey, this hurts me and I would prefer if you could avoid this thing”. They aren’t an excuse to police women’s bodies or who they speak to. That’s just controlling and messed up. They also aren’t like rules. You can’t enforce them blindly like a dress code. Men really out here trying to say that their insecurity is their partners problem calling shit like this a moral thing or a boundary. 😂
Seriously! A boundary is not an ultimatum. Boundaries don't prevent someone from merely speaking to someone else. Boundaries are "we've talked about how it's hurtful when you say/do x to me before, I've asked you to stop, and you aren't. If you continue to habitually act in x way towards me, I will remove myself from the situation in y way." Like, I've had to tell family members that if they are going to berate me over the phone, I will hang up on them and will be happy to talk later when they are willing to speak kindly.
Unfortunately, multiple religions/religious institutions made it socially and legally acceptable to police women for anything they go, globally. So it’s not surprising that people think boundaries = rules = control

@@Adhanks91 the outfit she was wearing was not inappropriate for the environment she was in. She was having a night out! Seems like she was with some girlfriends too and ladies love to look glam when they go out. No way she’d wear this to a grocery store haha. I think madisyn was trying to make a point against your last comment like. It’s not really your place to dictate what a woman wears. You can tell her all you want but at the end of the day. If she wants to wear a glamorous outfit out with her friends like that’s her choice and you as her partner need to respect that or not be in a relationship with someone who’s choices don’t align with your beliefs. It’s really not anyone else’s business and the bf in this situation publicly shamed her when this probably should’ve been handled one on one.
I think it also comes down to loving yourself as an individual. I’ve noticed men tend of have more of a lack of personal identity when they’re in a relationship too. If you have different or separate interests compared to the other person, that doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t work out. You have to keep yourself entertained and not be reliant on others for happiness. It’s easy to see the more successful person as less of a person if they make way more than you. You have to ground yourself.
Women who think it's OK to slo ber all over other men when you're already in a relationship deserve to be alone and deserve no respect because you cant even respect yourselves so why should anyone else. And if you're a mother, your child with be embarrassed and ashamed of you.
Once women become mothers, they are mothers, not non-existent. It’s about being appropriate. Being provocative is like diving around in a car with a “ for sale” sign on it.
The child won't be effected by the sight of its mom in a bodysuit and tights. It will be affected by the public humiliation of its mother, by its father, that is now displayed to the entire world and preserved for all time on the internet.

It should have humbled him and made him thankful that Keke chose him, but instead it made him angry. That's the problem with insecurity, it focuses outward instead of inward. Humility says "I am responsible for how I feel" whereas insecurity says "It's your fault for how I feel."

They view the world only from a man’s perspective, and since we live in a patriarchal society that reinforces that on the daily and tells them everything IS actually only for them and the way they’re behaving is “correct” and “masculine”, it kind of just reinforces that shitty worldview and just reinforces their misogynistic behavior I’m afraid. 😭 And then when women tell them they’re wrong, and not everything we do is for them, they laugh and find it absurd because pretty much everything has been a man’s world for them that majority has only catered to them, and it only confirms and validates their warped worldview. You don’t know Keke Palmer personally, nor are you in her brain to know what her thought process was. And neither do I, for that matter. But it seems like your take on this is perhaps Influenced/biased by your own perspective and worldview on why women dress up. I’m a straight woman and many times have dressed in a way that other people might have seen as provocative or attention getting (shorter dress/skirt, heavy makeup, etc.) just to meet up with my girlfriends to get brunch, or have a day at the beach, etc. No men even present. And it was because dressing in that made me feel cute in general, or I thought the outfit looked good on me. It was for me to feel confident in how I look and was presenting, and make me feel good about myself internally, for my own self confidence. The way a man dressed in a really nice suit might feel, or even his favorite sports jersey. It’s just men aren’t sexualized in the same way women are. I think if you assume women only dress in a way that men also happen to find attractive, that means they are dressing that way FOR men is a mistake, and a misinterpretation. Men may also be attracted to women who dress in revealing outfits, but that doesn’t mean women dress that way for them. Sometimes they do, but in majority of cases they do not. In fact in a lot of instances the attention dressing like that gets you from men isn’t positive at all, and is often times undesired/unwanted advancements, and is not something women are seeming out. It is something we are trying actively to avoid. Keke has a child and whole other life with Darius already. To assume she was trying to throw it all away to be with Usher, who is also in his own relationship…all over what, an outfit she was wearing? It’s just highly presumptuous and such a leap to conclusions that doesn’t even really make sense. I haven't watched the whole video yet, so I don't know if this is covered or not. But perfect timing considering Jonah Hill's text messages to his ex were just leaked, where he was essentially giving her a list of things she can and can't do in the relationship. Insecure much??
He was giving her a rundown of the reasons why he would no longer be with her. She crossed his boundaries, and he decided to end the relationship. How much more healthy communication do yall want?
@SMHAnimations "Healthy communication" isn't the issue. It's the sense of entitlement to the person he is with that is the concerning factor. To say you're uncomfortable with your partner having friends with the opposite sex is one thing. I find that to be extreme, but I can see how someone who isn't confident within themselves would feel threatened by that. But in Jonah's case, not only was his ex not allowed to have friends of the opposite sex, she wasn't even allowed to conversate with the opposite sex!!! He even had their therapist remind her of this. That's not healthy, that's controlling.
@@HeyItsDarci nowhere did he say that. He said specifically he didn't want her having inappropriate or boundaryless relationships with men, or friendships with women who are unstable. If she was able to form healthy, appropriate relationships with men, then this wouldn't even be a story. Ultimately, it's not controlling if he just leaves when she doesn't abide by his standards. It would've been wrong if he had these issues and stayed with her, continuing to give her an ultimatum that he'd leave if she didn't change. He simply moved on and found somebody who checked all his boxes. I wonder why his new partner, the one he has a child with, hasn't leaked any of their texts. Hmmm
@SMHAnimations no, it was controlling the second he stated his ridiculous demands expecting her to just agree to them. Just because they eventually broke up, doesn't mean the relationship itself wasn't controlling. As for his new girlfriend, who knows why. It could be because they have a kid together and she would rather not paint the father of her child in that light publicly. It could be that she's fine with being micromanage in a relationship. If she is, good for her. But I get this underlying feeling that having nearly every aspect of your relationship controlled by your partner (someone who is supposed to be your equal) is somehow supposed to be considered healthy, when it's not. Especially if it's not a consensual dynamic.
Absolutely love your closing thoughts on insecurity and I could not agree more. I think conversations about insecurity often focus on how it impacts our perception of ourselves and misses how much it blocks healthy relating to others.

The Jonah Hill situation annoys me so much because of how people are responding to it. The amount of men (and some women, disappointingly) who are defending his behaviour, claiming that he is not controlling her is astounding. He IS controlling her! Telling someone, regardless of gender, how they can dress, who they can talk to etc, is controlling behaviour. You have no authority to police someone’s personality, and the way they live their life (unless it’s harmful). Jonah Hill wasn’t setting boundaries with his ex, he was projecting his insecurities onto her and using therapy talk to justify his insecurities.

If the issues you discover once you enter a relationship are things you and your partner both want to work on that's different. But it's not cool to get together with someone and then after the fact tell them to take down all their posts you dislike (that you didn't have an issue with when you got together) and to change large parts of who they are.
I dated someone who was deeply insecure and it was hell. I didn't know that he was deeply insecure whilst we were dating as a result I didn't understand his behavior. What he claimed to be, modern man that respects women, and how he bahaved were two different things. Everytime I'd point that out he would gaslight me and it didn't help that the man I was experiencing at was completely different from the man everyone knew. Anyways, I healed from that and now I can tell when anyone is deeply insecure under the mask they put on in public. Keke your man is deeply insecure and you need to run.😅

very good video i feel like more people should watch these types of talks instead of only following the spirals that social medias like twitter and tiktok encourage
My whole thing about it was this: . He was ALL the way wrong on this 1. He was tweeting about how he has “ morals and beliefs” ok. Fine. Why is she not your wife then? Like… Itdoesntevenmakeanysense!!! - Kendall from succession voice- and just cuz a lady dresses provocatively ( which is HER choice) that doesn’t automatically mean that she’s a “wh0re” or she’s part of “ wh0re culture”. Dudes like him need to get outta that thinking/ mindset/ mentality. cuz it just screams insecurity so…yeah that was my take on it. Love the video btw. Keep those insightful takes coming 😎
Recent rumors say that they were broken up before this happened. I wouldn't be surprised. They're like polar opposites. And if they weren't broken up then, they probably are now.
There's two things I see in these situations 1) society doesn't work the same when it comes to men's clothes, there really isn't a lot of "he's dressing slootty" 2) men have a higher probability of not knowing how to handle their emotions What the 2 things make is this dumb case where men don't build that trust w others (happens more w women) cuz communication bad or smth and they really don't get this "feeling sexy" thing like women do. TL,DR: Men struggle being vulnerable, "cheat" culture is fckn w their minds and misogyny (as always).
Like yeah her husband is in the wrong but posting a whole video about that and then using NICKI as a “good example” is fucking crazy when the woman is married to a rapist and defends him and his crimes.
what gets me is that these controlling people know they're getting into a relationship with someone who wants to dress & act a certain way & then expects us to agree with them when they try to shame them into completely different behavior. they want control over their partner to be whatever they want whenever they want, they want to feel powerful by changing someone, they don't want someone who is already docile & homely. there is nothing wrong with being shy & dressing in a casual low-key way of course, do what makes you happy. no one's demeanor or style of dress justifies them being controlled, everyone needs to be supported & kept safe.
People try to tell me that feminism has gotten out of control, yet this man tried it against this woman because he felt very comfortable and justified to do so. And he has been awarded with some agreement and solidarity, which I'm sure he will use as a lauchpad out of the financial ruin he will face talking himself out of being Keke Palmer's boyfriend.
“Don’t you think it will affect her son, to have his mother humiliated online?” fucking thank you when men bring these things up it is only about their fear of losing control over their partner, they’re not actually thinking about the well-being of the partner or the people they claim they’re trying to protect. i always love hearing u talk about stuff ty ty i personally would love to hear an expansion on weaponizing therapy speak

These dudes care more about what their friends think of them than they do their partner. Shaming her was to save face.

If you continue to habitually act in x way towards me, I will remove myself from the situation in y way."
Like, I've had to tell family members that if they are going to berate me over the phone, I will hang up on them and will be happy to talk later when they are willing to speak kindly.

And it just really seems like a highly misinformed presumption based on a projected worldview of some sorts. But idk, that’s just my take. 🤷🏻♀️

It's not a boundary, you can have a standard and uphold it but to have a standard, you need to embody that integrity yourself rather than project insecurity.
The way she said in a interview if there’s problems we don’t take it online like wtf is he doing
u always have such a nuanced perspective on every topic. I know that I may not always agree with what you say but I come to watch ur videos because I know u have common sense. Even though our life experiences are different, your words always find a way to resonate with me. Breathe of fresh air.
The only lesson anyone should take from this is handle your relationship problems in-house. (Not talking about extremes here. Obviously)
I agree with you👏🏾!
This advice should go to the girl who leaked the messages with Jonah
Thank you for talking about important topics/issues this way
coming from a 6 year long relationship where it took me a while to realize i was too much of a woman to an insecure man who project his insecurities on how I dressed and behaved, this video was very refreshing to watch and i feel validated 💗
Same, I feel validation when I walk into my girls' salon in my gym clothes (sleeveless shirt and short shorts) my girl hurries over to me and grabs my arm to claim me in front of the other women. If she didn't like it she would leave. I have freedom of expressing my hard work and 🍆 print. No woman will control me
Crying bc it’s the usher boondocks episode all over again 😭😭
The keke palmer baby daddy and jonah hill shit happening in the same weekend truly a chef kiss moment. Just back to back controlling men clownery.
You make a valid point on this discussion. It definitely is a jealousy thing with Darius. I hope he gets himself together. I do not think Keke’s separating anytime soon, so hopefully he gets himself together. Lastly, Usher is in a relationship too, and not married. So, Darius needs to chill out. They’re entertainers and just friends. It’s not like Keke and Usher were overly sexual with one another.
P.S. - Yes, do a Jonah breakdown. I just found out about this mess. It needs to be dissected more online🫡💯
Keke literally said she wanted to handle their issues in private and he overstepped that boundary
That's lack of respect
Me personally as a gender fluid individual who is pansexual, I don’t really get gender roles like this in relationships 😂. My response to men freaking out about not being in their “ masculine” is something that they have to get over or they’ll never have a good and honest relationship. And my response to women is to leave, but often I find my personal response to be too simple due to my background, I kinda would shrug it if if my partner disrespected me and move to greener pastures, like disrespectful people are replaceable.
To the left, to the left. 🎶😂
There's no such things gender fluid, you're mentally deranged
I'm a man and I'm starting to not give a shit about being masculine
he better leave keke alone istg

Just finished watching and I love this video!! Thank you so much for talking about this subject! Love you Madisyn!!
1. men don't look for protection, security or whatever 2. it's called having boundaries. it like him giving all his money to other women. A deep sense of betrayal and pain when she is getting conquered by others. Deregulation causes him pain on level you can't understand and it's not respectful. Its obvious you don't have a dad
I just find it so aggravating because THIS COULD HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN AN EFFECTIVE AND ENLIGHTENING DISCUSSION IF HE WAS MATURE ENOUGH TO DO SO!! 😑
I know. They should have just had a private conversation between one another. What a dummy.
Once, I had a guy bully me cause he felt like he couldn't afford me. not cause he's poor, were both from a middle class area. but because he had bad work ethic. he felt emasculated by me and I hurt his ego so instead he wanted to bully me and hurt me. and it worked, he made me cry
just wanted to say that your skin is GLOWING. skincare routine please and thank you 😭
The whole problem was usher grinding on her then the man comes on the internet aggressively and moans the most stupid thing and villainizes himself
yup thats exactly what I said as well
That’s a fair point, but I did not see too much grinding going on in the clips I saw. They were close, but not in a way to get mad, and act a fool online. This could’ve been resolved if they talked about the situation privately. Besides, Keke Palmer, and Usher are entertainers. Both are in relationships and friends too. Just my opinion.
There was no grinding!! I don’t get why people keep saying this. They were literally just swaying side to side
@@biancamcflurry9206 i saw the video just because there was grinding on the front or side and not the ass doesn't mean there wasn't grinding and you can clearly see usher getting a good handful of ass meat in his hand changing the wording doesn't change what happened
The up close....Let's not bite the hand that feeds us. So true. He definitely let his insecurity show. Idk her relationship but I have different life experiences and that would definitely be a serious conversation for one and maybe something more severe if behavior didn't change for two.
I disagree in bringing up his finances and telling him to shut up. Same as when women are told to shut up and suck it up.
He did meet Keke as someone who dressed this way and acts this way before they started dating. And he is right to dislike that action but doing it publicly is where he loses it.
The amount of truth and facts ur speaking got my head feeling huge 🤓 amazing video, as usual👏

yes please do the therapy video, it’s a super interesting topic and i’d love to here your thoughts
Can we also talk about how he probably watches naked girls online and gives his sexual attention to other women? Has even possibly been to strip clubs when they were together? Maybe even was thirsting over some instagram models in their dms? I know I’m just speculating but it’s happened to me and a bunch of other women, men get so anal about what you wear and post and the whole time they were thirsting over other women. I’m over it!!
But why are you making these assumptions if you don’t know him lmao they’re both in the wrong

And we don't shame boys for harassing women either.
I'm so here for your commentary
I haven't watched the whole video yet, so I don't know if this is covered or not. But perfect timing considering Jonah Hill's text messages to his ex were just leaked, where he was essentially giving her a list of things she can and can't do in the relationship. Insecure much??
He's not insecure
Those are boundaries and why did she leak the chats
I think conversations about insecurity often focus on how it impacts our perception of ourselves and misses how much it blocks healthy relating to others.
no coz the second i saw his ‘think piece’ tweet start with “We live in a generation where…” i thought oh god, hereeee we go 🙂 but dude really dug himself a deeper hole with that one my goodness
I'm almost 100% conviced that Keke's dms are blowing up rn 😂
men getting angry that women are more successful nowadays is like women getting angry that more men are taking care of themselves (makeup, fashion, hygiene), learning to keep a house and be more emotional. the latter doesn’t happen as much as the former if at all, and it really shows you that men are the only ones fighting invisible enemies for absolutely no reason. being insecure is completely fine but being insecure and making it everyone’s problem is stupid and childish. feeling like your manhood is being threatened by women having a life, as if that has anything to do with you is literally so embarrassing, and again that’s like a random women tweeting about men who are better at makeup than her (very dumb ik) and demanding that these men cease existing…
I don't know what success has to do with this...
10000000000000% Agree!!
No woman is angry that men are taking care of themselves😂😂in fact they are happy

Homie unironically pulled a Tom DuBois from the boondocks. he saw his gf with usher and lost his shit lmao.

Not Mr. DuBois 😂
Every man is scared of Usher 😂😂
I have to be re-reminded of this man’s name every video I watch about this and I’ve watched 3 today.
I wouldn't say she was "publicly humiliated", he just embarrassed himself and she was unbothered. He tried and he failed.
If the roles were reversed women will defend keke, the same women who won't want their men to dance like this with keke, the same women who don't see the problem with jonah ex sharing private convos while saying keke's ex should have kept his feelings private!! The hypocrisy is realllll!!!
calling out an abusive and controlling ex online is NOT the same thing as humiliating an ex online because you didn't like 1 thing they did.
💯
Him and usher is like that one boondocks episode where Tom was worried usher was gonna take his wife 😭😭😭😭
Just discovered your channel & its so refreshing to hear a point of view that I completely agree with❤
The Jonah Hill situation annoys me so much because of how people are responding to it.
He said if she disagrees then he is not the person for her. She could leave and she did. It's not abuse. It's not controlling. It's someone's boundaries
@@Jeremy-wp4yhtelling someone to delete their bikini pics, let go of friendships, quit their job etc is NOT setting boundaries. Setting boundaries is something personal to you like invasion of privacy for example. What Jonah Hill was doing was literally being controlling in a way.
@@Im_bor3d0 you should read the message. It was very eloquently phrased. She was given the option to walk away and no hard feelings if she disagrees and they won't be a match. This was in no way forced. And you're leaving out alot of context. The friendships were previous toxic female friends she had and male exes. There was history
@@Jeremy-wp4yh Just because he gave her an out does not mean that his intentions were not to control her. Why did he date her in the first place if there were so many things he didn’t like about her and the way she lived her life? She made him insecure (not her fault) and he responded by enforcing “boundaries”. If he was a secure man, who she was friend with, or the way she dressed wouldn’t be an issue to begin with.
@@Jeremy-wp4yhLmao he was trying to guilt trip her. It's crazy how y'all didn't see it
would love a video on the misuse of therapy speak, yes
your case for hypergamy falls apart with jonah hill since he's more successful than she is. also, this presupposes that wealthy men aren't insecure or controlling. it's funny how people will call out misogyny or racism but will then turn around and just be blatantly classist. zoomers gonna zoom, though.
this whole situation just makes me think of the Usher episode of Boondocks 😭
I usually don't agree with you on everything, but you ate this up!!!! The amount of black men I've seen just on youtube calling her out her name is disgusting.
even if she was tweaking so? (Nick's baby daddy is trash and definitely shouldn't open his mouth lol)
Also, Jonah is getting support which is mind-blowing but also not surprising.
What did Jonah do wrong?
@@morganyu812personally, I don't think it's cool to get together with a woman who is a surfer, and model, and then tell her that she has to stop modelling, and sharing photos in swimsuits online (when she wears swimsuits to surf) if she wants to remain in the relationship. To present this as just "boundaries".
He knew who she was and what she did when he got together with her. It's not cool to try and change a person this hard after knowing all this stuff about them before you get together.
If you realise after you've gotten together with a person that actually you aren't cool with their profession, or the way they conduct themselves in person or online, then you can decide to end the relationship.
Lmao dude is not insecure because he doesn’t want his girl flirting with other men the shit that you women are trying to normalize in this generation is insane lmao

very good video i feel like more people should watch these types of talks instead of only following the spirals that social medias like twitter and tiktok encourage
My whole thing about it was this: . He was ALL the way wrong on this 1. He was tweeting about how he has “ morals and beliefs” ok. Fine. Why is she not your wife then? Like… Itdoesntevenmakeanysense!!! - Kendall from succession voice-
and just cuz a lady dresses provocatively ( which is HER choice) that doesn’t automatically mean that she’s a “wh0re” or she’s part of “ wh0re culture”. Dudes like him need to get outta that thinking/ mindset/ mentality. cuz it just screams insecurity
so…yeah that was my take on it.

Recent rumors say that they were broken up before this happened. I wouldn't be surprised. They're like polar opposites. And if they weren't broken up then, they probably are now.
If your man isnt doing better, emotionally, mentally, spiritual how can he lead?
UR POSTIMG SO QUICK MADISYN
There's two things I see in these situations
1) society doesn't work the same when it comes to men's clothes, there really isn't a lot of "he's dressing slootty"
2) men have a higher probability of not knowing how to handle their emotions
What the 2 things make is this dumb case where men don't build that trust w others (happens more w women) cuz communication bad or smth and they really don't get this "feeling sexy" thing like women do.
TL,DR: Men struggle being vulnerable, "cheat" culture is fckn w their minds and misogyny (as always).
Hey, I would love to see the video on therapy language that you mentioned, love all of your content + music as well xx
He's definitely not worthy of her and he knows it. Look at him with Keke vs A$AP Rocky with Rihanna, the difference is night and day.

Like yeah her husband is in the wrong but posting a whole video about that and then using NICKI as a “good example” is fucking crazy when the woman is married to a rapist and defends him and his crimes.
Like wtf lmfao..thank you for saying this!
what gets me is that these controlling people know they're getting into a relationship with someone who wants to dress & act a certain way & then expects us to agree with them when they try to shame them into completely different behavior. they want control over their partner to be whatever they want whenever they want, they want to feel powerful by changing someone, they don't want someone who is already docile & homely. there is nothing wrong with being shy & dressing in a casual low-key way of course, do what makes you happy. no one's demeanor or style of dress justifies them being controlled, everyone needs to be supported & kept safe.
