By the end of the regular season, we literally had 20 players on injured reserve. Jonathan Allen, our first draft pick was out for the season and only played 5 games! Our backups were getting injured and then we had to rush to fill in the gaps with players that barely got to practice thoroughly with the team. We were so destined to be great this season! Better luck next year.

Redskin won their superbowls with veteran QB's Joe Theismann, Mark Rypien, Doug Williams. Whats most important is they need to really focus on OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE LINE. Thiesmann was only sacked like 7x the whole season with the HOGS he had all day to throw DEEP so did Mark and Williams. The fact that Alex Smith had only 5 ints, made the pro bowl, gonna be 75% cheaper then kirk and a proven winner 60% of games. The redskins don't have to worry for the next 4yrs and can upgrade their offense and defense line with the extra money.
As a long time fan I feel they should have done whatever it took to keep Kirk. But I am very optimistic about Alex Smith and this offense I think it will be explosive and very successful in the red zone with Guice and Reed. He defense took a huge hit with the loss of Fuller but with a revamped and healthy defensive line we can still be great
