      Description says "4oz / 120ml soda water" video says OJ.
      Campari and soda it is! :D

    Campari goes so well with fruit, I personally experimented with some campari/pineapple juice cocktails and it came out pretty good.

      I've never known anyone to not like Campari once you find cocktails where it's used properly. Start with this one. It's a great intro to Campari. Be sure to use fresh squeezed OJ.

    I like to have more "tequila sunrise" version - aerate orange juice with portable blender, pour campari in glass with ice, add fluffy orange juice and make easy stir. You have more sunrise color and it still drinks easy.

      But for this drink you want it to be mixed together because otherwise you get the frothy OJ when you first sip and end up with almost pure Campari once the OJ is gone.

    Can you use Aperol instead of Campari for this, and any other cocktails that use campari? I'm aware that campari is stronger than aperol, so when you sub out with aperol, would you need to add a little bit of vodka to get the ABV up to get the same effect?

    • @StevetheBartender_
      @StevetheBartender_  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could use Aperol but it wouldn’t make a different drink.. adding some extra liquor would be a good idea tho 👍

    So, at the end when the drink settles, how long does that take? Just wondering

    How are you liking the Breville drink mixer for flash blending, Steve? I've been eyeing it for tiki drinks as a potential budget Hamilton Beach alternative, but have been wondering whether the motor's strong enough to get good results with lots of crushed ice.
    Love a Garibaldi, they're also excellent with Cynar or Montenegro as the bitter component 😋

      @Kiki_Fugawi ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a Hamilton Beach (used). I've never made a cocktail that called for more ice than a HB can handle. Usually you're just adding enough ice to cool & dilute a bit.

    This is basically just a straight up better tequila sunrise, less sweet and much more balanced, I like to add a splash of grenadine for color and a splash of lime juice for extra tartness on my garibaldi

      This is not even close to tequile sunrise. First of all, tequila and campari tastes completely different, secondly, the overall switness of drink is much smaller, campari is not that sweet as grenadine and it also has bitter parts.
      Your version, though is closer to tequila sunrise, but still main alcohols don't look alike.

    • @MrBlackmore_
      @MrBlackmore_ ปีที่แล้ว

      @@maksymisaiev1828 I compared them because of the look and the fact that they use orange juice, what I meant is that there’s no reason to order a tequila sunrise when a garibaldi is much better in every way, I don’t need to be told that campari (bitter aperitif) and tequila are different

    • @maksymisaiev1828
      @maksymisaiev1828 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrBlackmore_ not everybody likes taste of campari, so it is not for everybody. But agree that in garibaldi campari is much more smoother and lighter to drink.

    Flash blend?

    • @StevetheBartender_
      @StevetheBartender_  ปีที่แล้ว

      Blend briefly with a spindle blender (aka milkshake blender).

    • @StevetheBartender_
      @StevetheBartender_  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alternatively, you can shake it briefly… but flash blending adds a lot of aeration very easily.
