This is so cool!!!! I have been following Willie since 1983, and never seen this footage before. I have heard the songs before, as I have everyone of his albums from the start in 1962 to his latest. Thank you so much for sharing Willie and Sanmi Smith. Seeing Willie in overall bibs and sunglasses on stage, with shoulder length hair made my night.😅
Dennis Gregory. Played with Sammi Smith from 73-75. The Tennessee Hat Band, who was Sammi’s backing band at the time was simultaneously playing with her and David Allen Coe at the time. Dennis never played for DAC tho. The band left Sammi in 75’ to go fulltime with DAC. Dennis did not follow his band mates and went back to school in 76.
