In 1975 I was a sailor aboard the USS Coral Sea CV-43, I worked in aviation fuels division. We were in a maintenance period and we cleaned all the JP5 fuel tanks. It was a messy and smelly job. While in the last tank of the job after everyone else left the tank I sat down there with my blues harp, and began playing. It was the most awesome sound I ever got with a B-flat Hohner. There were very few ways in those days; none that I could afford, to get that kind of reverb and/or echo. Several days later while waiting for inspection, the small group I played with on the ship brought down instruments, acoustic guitars and a saxophone, with my harmonicas. What fun we had and I have always been a huge fan of REVERB since. I want one of those Poly Verbs!!!
They should market that pedal as an anti-anxiety treatment. "get lost in the trails, forget your problems." I find so many of those presets relaxing and transporting.
Pete as always masterfully brings the best out of any gear he touches, but I'm honestly in awe about the Captain's playing, after a decade or so of watching this channel, his playing has gotten better and better, hats off to you, that intro was a real treat!
Once again Pete shows he’s world class and the Captain shows how quickly his playing has improved. Great stuff guys, and now I have to buy another pedal…….
We've all undoubtedly visited spaces that have inspired us with their sound, so the idea of capturing these natural and unique reverb effects and using them in a pedal is a real game-changer.
It’s a cool idea, but it never sounds like an actual cave, or a Hall, etc. I actually think digital reverb is better, unless one is just playing a place with amazing acoustics to start with. The reason being, because one can change adjust how dark, how much, add modulation, pre-delay, backwards, etc. I just don’t like the Fender spring reverbs, that many love. I don’t care about drip, as it’s something I wouldn’t use a lot. Then when it comes to ambient amounts of reverb, or ones for ambient stuff, the reverb eventually becomes the same sound when the decay is so long, until one adds shimmer, mod, etc. I usually use a small amount of plate or a Room setting that won’t muddy any delay. Don’t get me wrong, I’d get one if I had disposable income, for every cool pedal there is. It sounds wicked as hell. If I had the cash, I’d have the Chase Bliss Automatone, among several of their older pedals, the Meris LVX and MercuryX, as well as every $500+ Uni Vibe out there, to try them all… I could go on and on…😆
Every time I hear Pete play the guitar I have to watch closely because each video I watch I always learn something from him he’s like my guitar teacher that he doesn’t realise he is doing it
I'm not interested in a lot of this gear - especially the myriad pedals - but I love hearing Pete play. Finding him was finding gold. Lee sounds good too - very humble. He may not have the theoretical understanding, but he can definitely play. These are the reasons I check in everyday. - Monte Croft, Associate Professor, Berklee College of Music
Be careful. I said the same thing as you did. Because of this video. Then I bought from the manufacturer, direct. And I received a fake/counterfeit that does absolutely nothing except blinking lights.
Pete and the Captain never cease to amaze us with their talent. I am impressed by the captain’s playing, and his improvisation took me to another dimension that is both beautiful and magical. Pete, as always, brought that piece of gear to life with an incredible demonstration. Thank you guys.
Now that's what you call inspiration , that was epic Pete , I could literally see waves of inspiration coming off of Pete . Thats what a fantastic Pedal can do , really cool
I wasn't going to watch this because "er ner (Hull accent) norra nuther reverb pedal" but the top of my head fell off from grinning from ear to here. You were having so much fun it was contagious. Reverb is one of those things, like you said, you go places and the reverb in the space says "if only I could bottle this" seems you can (no bottle) and, what a relief, it's not just me.
I never get tired of listening to Pete playing and Captain Lee your playing is wonderful as well. In fact I was absolutely transfixed when you grabbed that Chapman tele style guitar because I think that may be the most gorgeous tele style guitar I’ve ever seen.
Wow! I'm honestly blown away via this reverb pedal. I've never heard anything like it wonderful to have this in your effects chain to you wala andersons for this video and hopefully I'll check out more. I need to check out more. God bless
@@BkBk-gy6vr nah man, go back a few years and listen to him play. His phrasing is much more fleshed out, his touch is better, his overall skill level has gone up a ton.
Pete!! The playing on this video is amazing. Lee too nailed that intro. Such a diversity in playing styles but sound great together. I was Totalled immersed in the sounds of this pedal
Damn, killer intro, Pete stopped me in my tracks with that beautiful playing. And then I was laughing because Lee had to follow that! And then Lee is on fire and continues the beautiful track! Well done guys.
What a bloody brilliant intro jam! Absolutely awesome and probably the best I’ve ever heard from you boys and I’ve watched hundreds of your videos. Sublime. Bravo boys ❤❤❤
This was wonderful to wake up to, sitting in the morning sun sipping coffee with my cat basking in the warmth. Lovely playing and the sounds of real places. Godt spillet Pete!
What a gorgeous pedal! And what an amazing opening jam - respect to Lee for following what Pete had done. 😎I also love how Pete twists Pool of Blackstar into Star of Blackpool - I was thinking exactly the same.
the pantheon in rome is a small sort of domed church with a hole in the center of the top of the dome's ceiling, the reverb is pretty quick since its a large place but with a lot of empty space in between, the reverberations are rather quick, a really old place for sure. awesome !
Holy Jeeeezuzzzz! What an epic pedal. Some spectacular effects there. It's waaaaay beyond my typical pedal price but I'm seriously thinking about ordering. Colour me gobsmacked....
Pete's intro seriously reminds me of Paul Personne's solo in the "Greatest Guitar Solo ever" TH-cam video from like 15 years ago. He's got the perfect tone for it here.
Great playing, both of you. This is the best sound Reverb. So many great types. I love the awesome touch interface. Its a little out of my price range, but Wow. Would be awesome to have. Cheers (I'm think its made in Australia, seen a Australian guitarist review and he said its from his country)
Captains playing has really inspired me recently. Is recommend going back and watching some of the 'lessons' Anderson's did as there's been some tips there that have massively helped my playing.
Killer pedal. I bought the Beebo because of the reverbs, but the main problems were the trail length was too short and no analogue dry through. This solves both of these issues. Definitely on my new year shopping list.
NICE play out Captain, Pete~ fantastic as always, just the Captain has come through to a particular tone stamp of his own, and you guy’s have cost me a fortune this month alone, couldn’t do without the Soldano Astro-20 (and with the proper 2x12 Soldano cabinet) and now I just pre-ordered this Verbs pedal from Poly, and I live in fear of asking about the T-style single bridge and P90 guitars you both were playing, can’t sell any more blood, feeling…..weak…….
I hate it when they say "we are going to be here all day". I don't have to be anywhere so let it rip! I went back and watched the vid again. The pedal reviews are my favorite and this one tops them all. It could have been two hours and I wouldn't mind a bit.
Just ordered mine as batch 3 went up for order today. So after 18 years of playing guitar badly I’ll be trying this ‘reverb’ thing all the kids are raving about. I guess I’m sort of a reverse captain 😂 Disclaimer; I’m mostly a bass player 😎
Some lovely comments on this video. Thanks everyone. Proof that a great reverb makes everything better…. even the TH-cam comments section 😜👍🤘
Steady now.
😂😊
I have never ordered a pedal so fast after hearing it for only a few minutes. This sounds insanely good. You guys are expensive to follow.

Great story❤
I can relate a little when you find a stair well or car park and you hear your footsteps and think - if I only had my !
Way to go shipmate. I got started late in life in 84 and was never on the Coral Sea but we relieved her with the Indy. RIP old girl.
They should market that pedal as an anti-anxiety treatment. "get lost in the trails, forget your problems." I find so many of those presets relaxing and transporting.
Agree with you 100 percent mate
Great marketing concept!

i just want to mention that lee is a pretty good guitar player. He never gets the credit he deserves.

I love that The Captain always watches other players with admiration. You’re both outstanding players! Thanks for so many years of content!!

I'm getting one. That is simply the best reverb I've ever heard and one of the best guitar pedals I've ever heard.
Be careful. I said the same thing as you did. Because of this video. Then I bought from the manufacturer, direct. And I received a fake/counterfeit that does absolutely nothing except blinking lights.
I would like to delete the comment above.
Possibly the best plate reverb I've ever heard.
Pete and the Captain never cease to amaze us with their talent.
I am impressed by the captain’s playing, and his improvisation took me to another dimension that is both beautiful and magical.
Pete, as always, brought that piece of gear to life with an incredible demonstration.
Thank you guys.
That has to be the best-sounding plate reverb I've ever heard from a pedal. Holy hell that sounds amazing. Good to see Lee getting in on the jamming.
Now that's what you call inspiration , that was epic Pete , I could literally see waves of inspiration coming off of Pete . Thats what a fantastic Pedal can do , really cool
100% irrepressible.
Maggot Brain vibes!
Pete sounds so good with this PRS.

Seriously transfixed by Pete's opening solo. Beautiful.
That intro by Pete. Magical. Thanks Gents.
That intro jam has got to be one of my favourites ever
something happened today, the best thing I've ever heard... anywhere...... congratulations
Can you make the opening jam into a track that last hours and hours..wonderful jam. That alone wants me to buy the unit!
I never get tired of listening to Pete playing and Captain Lee your playing is wonderful as well. In fact I was absolutely transfixed when you grabbed that Chapman tele style guitar because I think that may be the most gorgeous tele style guitar I’ve ever seen.
Ander tons of melody today, wow. One of the finest performances ever on this channel. 🫡
Lee in the intro was sounding so good i could feel his notes in my soul
Oh wow, Pete you reached a beautiful place with that intro solo.
There really needs to be a comparison video with the other reverbs such as the Cloudburst, Blue Sky, etc.
The best sounding reverb I have ever heard. I my mouth was open the whole time just blown away!!!
The effect is an effect, but the guitarist is number one!
Such an excellent show today. Thank you both. I saw this a few hours after ordering this reverb. So glad it's on the way.
Dont want the intro noodling to be stopped. So, so beautiful❤
Rabea is going to have so much fun with this one
Wow! I'm honestly blown away via this reverb pedal. I've never heard anything like it wonderful to have this in your effects chain to you wala andersons for this video and hopefully I'll check out more. I need to check out more. God bless
This is one of those videos that really highlight how much Lee’s playing has improved. Genuinely awesome stuff! And Pete is stellar as always!
@@BkBk-gy6vr nah man, go back a few years and listen to him play. His phrasing is much more fleshed out, his touch is better, his overall skill level has gone up a ton.

The intro you both did for this video was amazing. Just learning guitar myself but I can’t wait to be able to play something like that. Great playing
Thanks Lee, and Pete, Merry Christmas to you and your family's, bigg hugg God Bless,
The best I have ever heard Pete play with the opening. Captain is sounding stellar too on the new Sire model.
Damn, killer intro, Pete stopped me in my tracks with that beautiful playing. And then I was laughing because Lee had to follow that! And then Lee is on fire and continues the beautiful track! Well done guys.
Agreed, Lee just picked it up and carried it on. Great playing.
First time I've heard Pete get emotional...really good.
A very Interesting pedal.
Absolutely love when you guys jam for multiple minutes! Bring the longer intro/outro jams back more often if you can!
Ah man was just in the Paris catacombs - would love to have captured that! What a great idea!
The future looks bright for us musicians! 🤩🥳🎊🎉
Wow guys, that is the best sounding reverb I’ve ever heard, truly amazing, got to have one. Best pedal of the year boys!!!!
This is a serious studio quality piece of kit
Great playing Mr .Pete.
What a bloody brilliant intro jam! Absolutely awesome and probably the best I’ve ever heard from you boys and I’ve watched hundreds of your videos. Sublime. Bravo boys ❤❤❤
This intro is EPIC.
This was wonderful to wake up to, sitting in the morning sun sipping coffee with my cat basking in the warmth. Lovely playing and the sounds of real places. Godt spillet Pete!
Will you remember where you were when pedals changed forever? I have never gassed so fast for any new pedal, ever!
What an absolutely wonderful pedal. The sounds are brilliant!
Intro jam was GREAT - Lee is definitely getting better, but Pete that was incredible
Not only the Pedal sounds great. He is so SOULFUL ❤❤❤❤❤. Tuned into the Melody heavens
@Andertons My vote for "Pete's Best Intro Track of 2023". Add it to the list. WHAT A GIANT!!!!!!!! Hey @Peter Honoré, where's the album brother??!!
This is the best reverb i've ever heard.
Taken away to another place by that opening jam. Bless you guys!
What a gorgeous pedal! And what an amazing opening jam - respect to Lee for following what Pete had done. 😎I also love how Pete twists Pool of Blackstar into Star of Blackpool - I was thinking exactly the same.

As an American, that pronunciation of "Episcopal" had me in tears 😂😂
Especially since the Episcopal church comes from the Church of England.
Lee is becoming a fantastic guitar player.
Agree, Pete is a Great Teacher to have as your mentor. Look at the amazing guitarists that have come from Joe Satriani's teachings.
@andertons, don’t forget about the middle position on that PRS 594! It’s one of the most epic sounds. Clean or dirty!
Go ahead CAP!! NICE playing!
You guys are just living your best lives!
Right up there with best intro guys bravo
What a beautiful piece in the intro... thanks Pete!
Love lee's more simple and spaced out stuff too. 🤘
Pete is the best salesman in the world, he can sell a product without even talking
Holy Jeeeezuzzzz! What an epic pedal. Some spectacular effects there. It's waaaaay beyond my typical pedal price but I'm seriously thinking about ordering. Colour me gobsmacked....
I see the pick smashed, I see ola smiling down from the clouds in approval, sprinkling his blessings on the channel and its content.
@andertons My favorite TH-cam channel. Always informative and entertaining.
Sounds great.
Pete plays guitar and I immediately start thinking back on my life and all of my regrets.
No ragrets!
Hahaha -Saaaaame
They're hoping we will buy the gear but I hear Pete and think it is time for me to sell mine and take up sewing!
When Pete plays I too get a huge sense of regret, I regret that I didnt practice more when I was a kid
Lmao, sometimes I watch this channel just to hear him work.
Leeeeeeee you’re getting soooooo good!! Haven’t watched in a bit and wow!
Pete's intro seriously reminds me of Paul Personne's solo in the "Greatest Guitar Solo ever" TH-cam video from like 15 years ago. He's got the perfect tone for it here.

Made in Coburg.
Plate sounds incredible.
I don't even care what happens after that intro jam. Fantastic!
Pete is such a great player!!!
Pete starting us out with a journey across the far reaches of the universe...
What an intro. He’s such a great player.
Intro jam!!! 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Captains playing has really inspired me recently. Is recommend going back and watching some of the 'lessons' Anderson's did as there's been some tips there that have massively helped my playing.

Wow this sounds incredible 😳
Pete just Killing-it . . . for that Epic intro. Enjoyed it brother. oNe LovE from NYC
nice. I need to learn how to hold the pick like Pete does, switch from fingers to pick.
Logged in just to hit the like button. Damn Pete! You sound amazing...

Awesome, I need to ship one to the States.
Best introduction rock it
What an epic introjam!
I had to laugh at Pete at the 4:47 mark where Pete weeps a little when asked where's the time go question. 😄
Holy Christmas Gift - keep playing like that and leave on earth will happen
21.17 - thought we were off into Eruption for a moment. Sounds lovely through decent cans, this video.
Damn you Lee and Pete! Making me buy these things.. I’ve just ordered one with accompanying protein!
Just ordered mine as batch 3 went up for order today.
So after 18 years of playing guitar badly I’ll be trying this ‘reverb’ thing all the kids are raving about. I guess I’m sort of a reverse captain 😂
Disclaimer; I’m mostly a bass player 😎
IR reverbs are hugely popular, I got many from websites since early 2000s that still are in use today.
