The Kamow Ka-32 is a medium-weight civil helicopter manufactured by the Soviet, now Russian, manufacturer Kamow.
The Ka-32 has the typical characteristics of the Kamow helicopters: a compact, beefy fuselage and the coaxial, counter-rotating double rotor. Very robustly built and equipped with powerful gas turbines, it is particularly suitable for use under difficult conditions. The Ka-32 is used to supply outstations or oil platforms, to transport heavy external loads and for search and rescue missions.
Der Kamow Ka-32 ist ein mittelschwerer ziviler Hubschrauber des sowjetischen, heute russischen Herstellers Kamow.
Der Ka-32 besitzt die typischen Merkmale der Kamow-Hubschrauber: Einen kompakten, bulligen Rumpf und den koaxialen, gegenläufigen Doppelrotor. Sehr robust gebaut und mit leistungsfähigen Gasturbinen ausgerüstet, ist er besonders für den Einsatz unter erschwerten Bedingungen geeignet. Zum Einsatz kommt der Ka-32 bei der Versorgung von Außenstationen oder Ölplattformen, bei Transporten von schweren externen Lasten und bei Such- und Rettungseinsätzen.

Did I read that right, 14L of kerosene per minute? Wow. I know why I like fixed wing aircraft, But this beast may just be worth it. And it checks out, something this sized likely has at least 250 gallons of fuel on board, which is an hour of flight (14L/min = 3.7ish gal/min, so about 220 gallons per hour, with 30 gallons reserve). And she has to land that often to reload pesticides etc anyway so no point not fueling then. And for cross country and no pesticides she could easily have a 600 gallon fuel tank, so that checks out. I just can't wrap my head around the bare minimum $1000/hr to just keep her fueled, let alone maintenance. Or profit. I guess the lesson is, always fly as the paid pilot in someone else's heli.
Actually 880 gal full load. Flight hour costs around $3k, but they sell it for $10k+ so profit is OK :)
