He meets up with former colleague Brendan Moore, who helps run the garden through his role with the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
    Owner: Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation
Location: Dharawal Country in Campbelltown, NSW
    Climate Zone: Warm Temperate
    Style: Productive community garden
Key Features: Many raised beds growing a range of vegetables.
The garden provides a place to learn about growing plants as well as a place to socialise. You don’t have to work on the garden - just “have a yarn” and catch up with the community.
Volunteer Chris Dewar has been going there for years and says it’s like therapy for him. People come after a bad weekend and leave with a smile of their faces.
The centre also hosts a number of health and other services and distributes vegie boxes to elders and families. The project is run by dietitician Sophia Malie, who includes a recipe suggestion.
Clarence adds to the bush tucker box by planting Murnong (Microseris sp.)
    Featured plants:
    Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum cv.)
Silverbeet ‘Ruby Red’ (Beta vulgaris cv.)
    English Spinach (Spinacia oleracea)
    Corn (Zea mays cv.)
    Button squash (Cucurbita pepo cv.)
    Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa cv.)
    Murnong (Microseris sp.)
