Got to meet emmy one day locally at a pho restaurant. She as bubbly and great as how she is on her videos. Never met someone I watch all the time before.....
I used to make donuts for a living - little tip: if you’re glazing your donuts, you can stick them in the oven at 350° for one minute to have the glaze set (like you’d see on a Krispy Kreme or Dunkin donut). If you leave them to set without the oven, there is a chance they’ll be overly sticky if eaten/touched before they’re completely set.
Do you 🎉add the glaze while the donuts are warm like in the vid, then put in the oven briefly? Or do you allow the donuts to cool first then glaze, then briefly bake ? Thank you
Your refurbished mixer reminded me of mine. It also has a history. It was a wedding gift from my parents. We were married for 13 years and had 2 beautiful kids, but unfortunately, it didn't work out. I still had the mixer, and it was great. Until covid happened, and I, along with the rest of the world, decided to make bread. That didn't work out so well for my mixer, so I found a little shop to fix it, and I told the owner, if he can fix it, it will have lasted twice as long as my marriage! It's happily sitting on my counter working just as well as it did 27 years ago! 😄
My mom used to make old fashioned donuts to give out on Halloween! We lived in a small town and everyone came to our house! My poor mother was frying donuts well after dark, and the repeaters were always the parents! 🥰
truly, the good old days. People would assume you are putting razor blades or drugs in them if you tried that now a days, because of all the paranoia and urban myths concerning Halloween.
Ooh, I can imagine that your house was *_the_* house to go to on Halloween 😊 I'd have probably snuck back a second time. I had a neighbour in Meaford, Ontario 🇨🇦 that made homemade popcorn balls to give out on Halloween and everyone knew that she had the best Halloween goodies.
Battered & deep fried banana is to die for! You can use the same sugar/cinnamon mix you use on donuts if you want but its not needed. One of my favourite foods on the planet!
I saw a guy toast the inside of a grilled cheese before putting the cheese in and cooking the outside and I can’t do it any other way now. It’s SO good! Also I bet the garlic Texas toast would be so good.
I used to manage and do all the cooking for a very popular tea room back in the 90s. I made a "seafood salad" with the imitation crab, pasta, mayo, lemon, celery, some other seasonings and lots of grated parmesan. It was our Friday special and if I didn't make it and have it as the special, people were angry! They loved that pasta salad 🤣
I never thought I'd try something like this, but I couldn't help making the banana split. It was so easy and fast. I didn't have yogurt so I put strawberry jam on top after it came out of the air fryer. It didn't look pretty, but it tasted delicious. I'll make one for my husband later. Thanks for the wonderful recipes.
And you know, I used to watch you. I think on Facebook, not on TH-cam cuz. I wasn't on TH-cam until this year at all. I never really watched videos or anything and I followed you on Facebook forever and then I stopped really doing Facebook. I do it a little bit here and there, but I just started following you again and I just think you're amazing one. You're super sweet. You're beautiful. You're fun to watch and you remind me of being a sister of a doctor that I used to love her name was Carolyn Chen and you look so much like her and I really miss her and whenever I watch you, your mannerisms, your soft voice, your hair, you just remind me of her so much, I miss her.
So I really love cheesecake, and I've been trying to figure out what to make for my Thanksgiving. We're having a potluck at my church for Thanksgiving and I'm trying to figure out what to make, and this cheesecake looks really good, but I don't have a mixer, you know, I don't have something or even a food processor I'd have to do this all by hand which I think I can do, but that looks absolutely stunningly delicious. I think maybe it was too much in the PAN, but obviously it puffed up really nice and then it went back down so it did really well, I bet you. It tastes delicious. We're about to find out.
I'm not subscribed but I do watch when ever I see an interesting title! I know this is a compilation of old episodes but I'm watching this time because, I just recently bought an air frier without a handy dandy recipe booklet included😢! So all I knew about was french fries, but quickly found out a mandolin & a potato made Great chips❤! So I'm back to catch these recipes! However, Emmy did forget to put the OG episode links & the recipes in the description though😢!
You don't need a proofing box if you have an oven. Put the oven at its lowest setting. Put a pan of boiling water on the bottom rack, and the dough in a pan on the top rack. Keep the door closed. Instant proofer. This was how we did it in the bakery I used to work at, so it was a convection oven. I think this works on a standard oven.
What about a dill pickle to accompany that yummy gouda grilled cheese sandwich. Great demonstrates and ideas. Those fried donuts look so delicious too. Thanks Emmy😊❤
I'm with you on them bananas I don't like them either for the same reason. I love watching your videos I love how sweet you are. Your so cheerful. I always look forward to seeing your videos.
We make the “banana split” over the campfire and call them banana boats. So yummy! But never had biscoff in one so running to the store to try this with cookie butter.
We made banana splits like that in girl scouts but only in a camp fire, the banana was wrapped in foil and you dug out more of the banana to create a boat and covered the banana with the peel from the curve before wrapping it in foil and setting it in the coals of the fire.
Ah man, now I want grilled cheese and tomato soup… if youve never tried it, try Hawaiian Sweet Bread for grilled cheese, it’s amazing and my favorite. Is the basket air fryer better? We have an Emril air fryer that looks like an oven with a glass door rather than the basket. We made grilled cheese in it once a few years ago and never looked back. Air fryer grilled cheese are the BEST grilled cheese sandwich you’ve ever had. We’ll also use mayo sometimes, soooo good!!
You forgot to put a link to Richie's blog on fixing KitchenAid mixers. Would love to see his blog. I have an airfryer and would love to try some of these recipes. Thanks Emmie!
Banana for me is the most flexible fruit. You can mix it with other fruits without affaecting eachother's flavor. You can also use banana in savory recipes.
I'm sorry what? How did I miss this upload???? Well I get to watch it now. Always love your video and content emmy. Wish you'd show a chicken in one though. I love chickens they're so adorable.
Emmy's sushi bake video is the best. I don't think she needs to make another one. I've made it several times following Emmy's video exactly--it always turns out amazing.
I believe my Maternal G'Ma used to add the tiniest pinch of fresh ground nutmeg in her yeasted doughnuts; they were the best I've ever had in my life. I make a breakfast-type egg, bacon and toast in the air fryer. Put a slice of bread in the air fryer, make an indentation in the bread and crack an egg in the middle, surround it with 4-5 slices of bacon to stop the egg from spilling out and cook at 375° until the bacon is cooked. I saw Honeysuckle do this and I was skeptical but it's delicious. I also make toasted cheese sandwiches in my air fryer but I don't use any butter or mayo and it's perfectly crispy and tasty. The bread still browns, however I might try it again but butter the inside of the bread. Love these recipes Emmy!
I'm seriously considering buying an air fryer. It's one of the few kitchen appliances I don't own, and I do want a fryer. I don't know if it's a good investment though? 🤔
You won't be sorry that's for sure 😂my kids use it all the time. However.....I feel like one day we're gonna hear on the TV "have you or a loved on"....😅 You know the rest 😂😂😂😂

Thanks for the recipe. I always make donuts with Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits. They fry up really fluffy in oil. These looked good, too. Will have to try making fresh ones someday.🍩😊

luv the airfryer so many uses meals and desserts in minutes
Would it work better if you brushed oil on the donuts before you put them in the air fryer?
Yes. Air fryers use less oil, not zero oil. Use a spray oil to just lightly mist whatever you’re cooking.

Yes, it works in a regular oven, if the temp. can be set low enough. Some ovens, it seems the lowest setting is 170°F.
Or use the warming drawer in your oven, most people use it to store pots and pans but it was designed to keep plates and food warm.

If you coat the air fried donuts with some oil they will come out a little more crispy on the outside.

Oil conducts heat better than air. Spraying a little oil on the donuts before airfrying will help with browning and flavor.

I use real live yeast, prefer the taste and smell in the cooking ,and also put the dohnuts in the oven so they don,t have oil on them.
