To keep it simple: Any tackle above the shoulders is illegal, tackling in the air is illegal, tackling without the ball is illegal, tackling without arms is illegal, lifting a player into the air past 90 degrees is illegal. And also statistically rugby is safer than american football (for concussions) because there are rules to tackling and we have been taught since a young age the correct form/ way of tackling

I played Rugby for 39 years and coached for 25 ! The conditioning of the players is incredible! Recovery rate is crazy ! 80 mins of massive hits ! Aerobic and anaerobic extremes ! No Pads or helmets ! Just seriously tough guys !!

As a South African I can tell you that there is nothing that pull us together as a country as our rugby team. We are currently the World Champions...take that England, Australia and New Zealand (still love all you guys though!). Much love from South Africa💜🇿🇦

As a rugby player it brings me great joy to watch these boys looking shook.

As a Pacific Islander, Rugby is deemed to be somewhat the "national" sport in every Pacific nation. Oh and it may seem cliché but everything in Rugby like the tackles, the running, the agility and ability, to everything, it's totally normal for our boys to cope with. Thanks for the amazing reaction guys. Much love 🔥❤️

My husband played rugby for 15 years. The first tournament I went to after meeting him I knew sh*t was serious when there was an ambulance parked at the end of the field. Just in case. At one point he came off with a gash in his forehead, the put some ointment, a gauze pad and then wrapped black electrical tape around his whole head and back in he went. 😁 I feel in love immediately. 🤘

I play rugby at a bang average level boys compared to what you are watching on here… but I need the USA. To realise this is one of the most brutal and beautiful sports on the planet. It’s tough not for the faint hearted granted. But if you get to understand the game of rugby you will love it. Live your videos btw. Trust me if you can learn to play rugby cuz it is a proper man’s sports. Last thing I will say to you guys is that even though rugby looks brutal and all hits. No it is far from that it is a gentleman’s sport in the uk for sure… the referee is the boss, you don’t argue with the ref. And after a big fight on the pitch… it is common decency to have a drink with the opposition most of the time with the lads we play against. (What happens on a rugby field stays on the rugby field) it is a fucking great sport ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 glad you guys checked this out!

Rugby is the game for all sizes, you don’t have to be big, also what I love about it, is that it’s all left on the pitch! Final whistle (or buzzer, depending where in the world you are) goes, it’s shake hands, respect each other and then go for a beer together!

Here in Great Britain we start learning Rugby in school aged 8. It's a great sport to play. The top ten rankings at the moment are Ireland, France, New Zealand, South Africa, Scotland, England, Australia, Argentina, Wales and Japan. The USA are ranked 18 (with Samoa, Fiji and Tonga all above them)

Found a rugby group when my son was in upper elementary and he played recreationally up to college. My son played many sports and this by far was the best community of athletes. They play hard but the minute the game ended, the boys on both teams always seemed to hang out together. The coaches were dads who loved the sport and also modeled interactions with other teams.

I'm from France, and I'm a woman. Rugby is a nationally recognized sport since 1995 and we have Rugby as a option for PE in school. I played Rugby as one of the three sport disciplines I had to graduate on the last two years of High school with other girls and although the video you're watching make it look like a "gladiator sport", it's a very fun game where all players respect each other AND the referees. Back then, two of the girls in my PE class were even in the local women's rugby team.
