I’m half-Mexican and I think this is just stupid. You can be proud about having Mexican heritage without celebrating another country’s Independence Day. And especially without clogging up all the streets. What if your family member or loved one needed emergency services and there were a bunch of street closures???? This is also disrespectful as hell to residents. So dumb. If you wanna celebrate, then get a permit and go to Grant Park.
