By the way, this was a low point, I was so upset that my nostalgia and MY FAVORITE GAME wasn't feeling like it once was, so yeah I was whining and complaining and yapping bout my own gripes. I also wanna make it clear for collabs. I hate when Cod does it, I also hate modern Cod. Also, fortnite did all this, but I don't have a connection to that game the way I do with Overwatch. No cosmetic should be the amount as a AAA game. I wanna be able to earn everything, especially since I bought the game originally. I also think the fandom and community are not ready to let this game go as well as I am. But if you truly enjoy this garbage kudos to you. You should also subscribe. Just because I don't like a game anymore doesn't mean my content is bad.

I never got the chance to play OW1. My friend introduced me to OW2 in season 1, and then I properly picked it up during season 3. Since then I’ve consistently played it, other than taking a break for the season where Mauga was introduced, that was a snooze fest.
My biggest issues with OW2 are cosmetics being wildly overpriced, the new gamemodes not being fun, collabs being oversaturated, the lack of free cosmetics, and skins being distributed between heroes unfairly. I have a group of friends that I play the game with almost everyday and we all have a good time. Sometimes matchmaking will be rough, we’ll go on a losing streak and throw in the towel for the night, and other times we’ll be rolling the teams we’re up against game after game.
For me, OW2 lacks consistency, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t fun to be had with it.
(also I disagree about disliking weapon charms, I love them!)

The only thing that I this game had over the competition was that everything was earnable, and you never felt like you were helpless if you wanted a skin.
That is gone. 90 skins release in the time you can afford one.

i enjoyed the game 8 years ago stopped playing the game as Rank Master.
Now i came back just to check how things changed and the first thing which makes the game unplayable for me is that there are only 1 tank now... Rounds are so weird either u get stomped or u stomp the enemy there is no real fight and hero changes are weird to me and i think there are to many heroes now. guess the time just needs to be burried.

One big problem are the constant changes. It doesn’t feel like they are balancing the game as much as they are trying to shake up the meta. But it changes too much. I don’t like flip flopping between my main being great and then bad. I just want a consistent patch I can grind for a while before everything changes again.

Btw you can get that highlight intro without the bundle by going to genji, highlight intros, and then filter it by check all. You should be able to get it

Also one of the biggest problems is cheaters in all ranks... People in silver don't know how to move properly but they aim like pro Koreans are bronze... Ow streamers have unlimited content on spectating cheaters and it's really sad. For example that dude who was number 1 rank on support was there on list for 2 weeks or smthn before they banned him, ridiculous...

Overwatch is fine. And that's the problem. It's been "fine" for what? 8 years now? This game launched as the first step to salvaging a broken MMO, it was supposed to lead to bigger and better things. Instead, it's the same fundamentally unaltered hollow shell of a proof of concept, to this day. Yes, we got more heroes. Yes, we got more maps and modes and skins. Oh so many skins... But the core game is still this super bare-bones arena PvP experience that I've been playing since the 90s. Unreal Tournament was fun. Quake Arena was... OK. But Overwatch? Titanfall? It's like people don't learn from history. Stop releasing shallow experiences. Good character design and brand recognition only goes so far.
Overwatch 2 was supposed to be the next step in the journey - a PvE version of Overwatch, with the old game retained as one part of a larger whole. Instead, all Overwatch 2 brought was the "2" in the title. That was it, that was our one shot at having something more substantive - something more interesting - than yet another arena shooter. And Blizzard couldn't even manage that. They couldn't manage to release a decent PvE shooter. I don't care whose fault it is or what internal politics went wrong. What I care about is they pissed away 8 years squandering what could have been an amazing franchise, accomplishing nothing.
Porsche skins, k-pop skins, anime skins... Can we maybe get an Overwatch themed skin pack for this Overwatch game? No? Remember when people cared about the story and characters? People wanted Overwatch stuff in their games and their comics? Now Overwatch has to reach out to more popular titles just to stay relevant. Doomfist? Phht. Who cares about Doomfist? Now Saitama, well... That'll bring in the money. Overwatch's identity is what brought people into the fold in the first place. It doesn't seem like the people developing the game much care for that any more. As a consequence, it makes me feel disenfranchised because none of these changes are targeted at me. The store, the stupid out-of-character skinpacks, the complete lack of anything more substantive than "two teams, fight" - I can't remember the last time a change rolled out that made me think "Oh, hey! I always wanted that."
I might still play the game because Juno looks interesting, but I'm not really motivated to bother.

English is not my native language but I feel exactly the same with u. I have about 6 accounts for ow 1 (I couldn't even count). 1 gold boarder, 2 silver boarders, and a couples of smurf accounts. Sounds crazy but I actually skipped the class just for playing ow.
Ow2 was promised to be a PVE game, but it really pissed me off how the game has actually become. Feels like the dev just cares about the money instead of the game. Gameplay sucks, especially for those new maps and game modes, all are like playing deathmatch.
Same with u, I felt enjoyable playing ow1, and it was my peak game, That was the only game I was proud of myself. I always complain to my frds how bad ow2 is. All the things the new dev team has done is just ruining the game. They have no idea what they are doing. Double shield is boring, then they just removed a tank🙃; 2cp is a problem, then they introduce worse game modes🙃🙃🙃 They are causing more problems instead of solving. And removed many great features of the game. And more importantly, ignore the feelings of old players who care the most about the game.
