All other streams of medical science have excelled so much except dentistry. It is not improving much and still stuck to RCT and finally extraction. Can't we be able to grow our teeth back anytime soon? We need better research to be conducted in this field.

Done RCT today on second premolar.. iam doing ortho now.. since bracket is there on the teeth, dentist suggested to do a permanent filling and continue ortho.. once ortho gets completed, crown can be placed.. so my doubt is does a RCT teeth can withstand the brace force with permanent filling??
My dentist suggested me the same ...can i have ur advice on this ?
@@sweetmelodies5955 I have done RCT now..with a permanent filling!! The reason he told to do so is that once you remove the bracket and place crown on the RCT teeth and then continue ortho, means while removing bracket from the crowned teeth there is a chance of crown breakage which needs to be replaced that needs an unwanted extra cost..

@@sweetmelodies5955 RCT tooth means they are officially dead .. usually not as strong as our natural teeth.. the pressure applied by the brace to the particular teeth will be reduced as they told me.. just you should not chew hard foods on that side..!!do you had extraction before braces???
@@aarshavarsenal nope ..i only got my upper braces few days ago and suddenly i got hairline crack in my front tooth. My dentist had given me colgate pain out gel but unfortunately it is not working and now he told me to do rct and have crown after my ortho treatment done ..but i dont want to have crown not even want to do rct 😪
