This was one of my first Jayhawks game that I watched when I was 12. I didn't really understand and comprehend just how talented this team was until a few years later.

Probably one of the most talented Kansas teams ever, along with the '95-'98 and 2001-2003 teams.

“For Larry Brown’s highly regarded Kansas team this Tournament has been a struggle.” TF was Brent Musburger talking about in that opener? They had one game where they struggled and that was the Sweet 16 vs Michigan State. They won their NCAA Tournament games that year 71-46, 65-43, 96-86 and 75-67. The Tournament wasn’t a struggle at all. And oh, they were in the Final Four. It clearly irritates way more than it should 😂

Possibly the most talented team Kansas ever had. Archie Marshall, damn, what a shame. He only had 19 min, Danny and Greg shot HORRIBLY, both fouled out, and KU still had a chance. Duke had one of it's best teams that year too. Great battle, not pretty though. This one still hurts to watch. I almost forgot they didn't have a 3pt line yet. Kellog and Marshall could light it up from deep.

Johnny Dawkins was a special player. This was a great game. Duke and Kansas have always had battles in the tournament. Duke won in 86, Kansas won in 88 (Title Year), Duke won in 91 ((Title game). Great battles.

As a KU fan, I pulled my hair out as KU's Dreiling continually missed 2-5 ft.jumpshots, layups and putbacks. Great player, bad game. He went 1 for 7, KU lost by 4.

Lewis Jones and Manning went 2-9. And yet despite that, I think had Archie Marshall not been injured, we win the game. So much went wrong and we still had a chance to win the damn thing

At 1:28, the Chevrolet executive who presents the awards is painfully artificial in his delivery. I can see every media coach trick in the book to get business people to look not stiff, and they backfire with this guy. He seems totally unnatural.

It was like that for years, how unauthentic it looked every single time.
