I definitely like her the most as, on top of her brilliant voice and technique, she also has the understanding and willingness to blend in with the overall mix and not just hog the whole event for herself.

You should respect that other singers can sing, too. I was in the audience and I ccould hardly hear her when the orchestra was playing a forte. The right choice of arias is also important in these competitions.
In contests they’re not looking for the most beautiful voice or even a unique voice. It’s about the most accomplished and secure singer- technically as well as musically! Someone who can be contracted tomorrow without worries. And this year the competition was fierce- at least three more outstanding singers....I hope she’ll have a great carreer -even more important than winning the competition.

And yes: many conductors are very square and arrogant as for to be flexible and to know that in opera the singer is more important than they are.
Her material is very good. By far the best voice I've heard coming out of this horrible German competition. But it ends there. In a few years from now, she is going to fall victim to what is causing a vibrato that already is borderline critical. She is in her 20s and sounds as if she was in her mid 40s with multiple Aidas under her belt. Take care, Ms. Yende and please prove me wrong.
She sounds PERFECT! PERFECT. Sweet, fresh, balanced, natural, effortless, warm, free, Well focused, and the vibrato IS perfect TOO; There must be somethig in your ear.
No!! You're wrong!! She's black. Usually black singers have dark rich voices. She's nervous here. If she was more relaxed and confident, she would have dominated the entire competition.
로보 티니콜라스 the middle voice is the last part of the voice to mature for young singers. It takes time . As she gets older that muscle will mature naturally.

According to you theory the voice magically appears after some years??? Doesn't make any sense. Also she doesn't need her middle to mature, she needs a middle voice period.

I know why she did not win: in the crescendo starting 2:57 and forward the Puccini orchestra ate her up and drowned her very badly.

It was truly the conductor's fault. Any orchestra could over power any singer. It is the conductor's job to keep the tempo and dynamics under control.
