Yeah, i have frame drops too, i think its cuz the code of the game is not compatible with screen resolution like this, and sprites that was forced to be big for this resolution slowdowns the game...
If you sure you did everything right, i think it depends on what device you have, cuz bsnes hd is beta and unstable in lower devices, my smartphone has 6GB RAM and Kirin980, and with this the game runs ok but sound is a bit laggy...
I dunno, maybe you made something wrong, you need run the hacked game with that file together in one folder through "bsnes-hd beta" core in retroarch As i see it may not work for various reasons, most of them is low tier device... I used all steps from original post in Twitter when this wide screen hack was released, try again carefully, but if you already tried several times and still not work, i can't help anymore, sorry... 🤷♂️
Bsnes hd is still beta, and as i see different devices may run it good, bad, or just crash the retroarch... Also i know retroarch itself acting differently in different devices fir some reason, for example, i can run Steam Hearts pretty good, its a Sega Saturn game, but my friend have different device, and retroarch just wont let me run the game on his device, its just crashing, i have Huawei Honor, my friend have Poco X3, and the same problem everywhere, with different games on various devices...

@@thefartsmella819 sadly patch was made only for 16:9 ratio, with 21:9 pixels just go a little stretch

I did everything right but when it enters the game it crashes
Yes, mobile way is unstable, and if you get it work anyway, it can lag and stutter at some point... The finest way to play it only on PC, sadly...
