I just love that the Glins are able to buck the concept of gender being assigned in that they get to choose their presentation by the very virtue of them inherently being a different type of life. Reminds me of Steven Universe gems in a way.
This series is doing An Amazing Job Building up the story and the lore is just 👨🏿🍳kiss. This is what we wanted from super just bulid up the story instead of just jumping to fights. Build up the environment the character's are in make them interact with the new world🙌🏾🙌🏾💯
I believe shin did mention being from universe 7 or when traveling they asked and said universe 7 a place called earth? So it definitely acknowledges there are other universes but seemingly only one demon realm.
It just hit me with your summary of the new Glind info that Shin and some of the other Supreme Kais throughout the multiverse might be siblings. Heck, for all we know Shin and Zamasu were siblings.
The thing that is most interesting about the new kai origin is the fact that all glinds have tons of siblings like i hope im not misremembering but if there's 5 trees that mean there are so many siblings
It's less that daima is taking so long. It's that Daima only has about 20 episodes and we are still walking about the desert that makes it hard to get excited after a while. It's 6 episodes in and we just now got some background on 2 of the three villains. I hope we at least get to the other demon worlds soon.
Lightning is actually something used prominently by heroes in RPGs like Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger (where lightning magic is exclusive to heroes in those games). I just thought that was interesting with how much of Daima feels loosely inspired by RPGs Toriyama worked on. As an aside, during Sand Land's second half in the anime, Muniel is a self described hero with a proficiency in lightning magic who stood as a villain in the face of the demon Beelzebub. He even used the same term as the job class in Dragon Quest. I don't think Glorio is evil, especially not right now. But it could be possible that he takes a dark turn, if Goku's interference would come into conflict with Glorio's goals.
If somehow they could keep up the pace and quality I’d love to see two 24 ep seasons of Daima for them to really expand on the demon realm and make this a substantial continuation of Z.
Considering we got Super and GT out of Toei freestyling Dragon Ball, that is, without Toriyama actually working on it more than looking at the scripts once, I dunno if I'd wanna see a Daima without Toriyama.
I do wonder how the Glinds took their trees with them. And if there is a Celestial Realm that, much like the demon realm, connects to all the universes and is where the kais are 'distributed' from.
Masako, to answer your question about whether the three demon worlds are connected to all universes you might have missed a line of dialogue in the first episode where the gatekeeper at the beginning inquires which Universe they want to go to and they say the 7th.
the other z fighters having a moment protecting earth is the biggest thing i want.(could see gohan leading them in his saiyaman outfit/videl as saiyawoman against a army dr. arinsu sends after the dragonballs with how the 2 haven't been seen yet.) doubt it's fully a common enemy thing as glorio being humbled by goku showing he's not a pushover, love the minotaur(being right out of blue dragon/dragon quest & being voiced by akainu of all people.),the funny use of a poop joke keeping goku from getting caught/pansy(love that she isn't vain like bulma getting along with goku quickly.) decking him with toilet paper, shin's "why?!" pout at seeing the canned bugs & showing toriyama reworking the world showing more of the kai's story(love the worldbuilding here where in z a lot of it was superfluous or didn't mean much outside a flim excuse for action/just being earth again in namek's case.) being born from the world trees(alongside the trees being from there.)in the guidebooks.
Absolutely loved this episode and seeing Goku humble Glalaland hard after finding out that he's in bed with Arinsu was such a good plot beat! I'm sure there's more twists coming but the larger plot is slowly taking shape and it's been really good so far! On a related note, anybody notice that in episode title in Japanese they keep highlighting a single letter/kanji in red? Do you think it's random, or maybe it has some meaning?
i wonder if the namekians becoming the kami of planets was a planned thing. they govern over the planets of the mortal realm while the glinds govern the heavenly realm.
To be fair, Vegeta lifting those big weights was kinda funny in it's own right. Also, I'm thinking that at this point in time, Dende and Popo are still working on recreating the door to the Room of Spirit and Time since Piccolo kinda...blew it up... And I'm pretty sure it was just SS1, too. I don't think Goku or Vegeta are even gonna try to go into the higher forms until they've remastered the base ones in their smaller bodies, that's just common sense. And yes, I know, Goku and common sense are a bit a of an oxymoron.
Man i love dragonball with all my heart. I just cant get excited about this show. Ill finish it all the way out, but this whole thing has been incredible boring. If youre enjoying it then major props to you and im glad you are, but for me idk i just feel bleh about it lmao.
What has Arinsu done to suggest that she's evil? Has she done anything besides be upset at those two other dudes? This whole thing seems pretty simple to me. She is concerned that whatshisface might hinder her research so she wants Goku to take whathisface out.
Yeah, she's selfish and manipulative but not necessarily evil. Her reasons for taking Gomah out aren't altruistic but it'd still benefit everyone in the demon realm.
You mention Shin not knowing of multiple universes, but in an Older episode ( I think while talking to the King) when saying they're from the outside world, Shin says universe 7.
could you do a what if goku decided to train trunks, have home train with king Kai and the like. Just yo give hime a well rounded background before he leaves for the future.
Are people actually bored of the show? I'm loving this 100%, this is almost like a reboot of the original Dragon Ball in tone, pacing and sense of adventure. Only with a new story. Honestly so far it's been better than I could've hoped for.

Build up the environment the character's are in make them interact with the new world🙌🏾🙌🏾💯
Bulma wouldn't have the overencumbered issue. She would store everything in Dino Caps
So, Turles wasn't eating fruit, he was eating an egg. I apologize for that mental imagery, that's so much worse
Love your Reviews masako! Thanks For this ❤❤❤❤❤
Dragon ball always starts out slow for story building. I dont know what people complain about. Just wait and binge it if you're that bored.
I believe shin did mention being from universe 7 or when traveling they asked and said universe 7 a place called earth? So it definitely acknowledges there are other universes but seemingly only one demon realm.
3:34 like Majin Buu stomach i 3:46 honestly thought you would say that
This is insane that glorio😮
It just hit me with your summary of the new Glind info that Shin and some of the other Supreme Kais throughout the multiverse might be siblings. Heck, for all we know Shin and Zamasu were siblings.
PLEASE DAIMA REVIEW EPISODE 7 WAS SO GOODS!!!
1:20 Anemone!
Shin is a fruit.
Vegeta: HAH!
I love that Goku was just toying with Glorio that entire time
Im curious on what Shin's magic is centered around. Panzy's is levitating things, Glorio's is lightning, i cant waitttt till we see Shin's
I sincerely doubt Daima is 20 episodes long when six episodes in we still don't have the full team assembled yet.
Cool
If somehow they could keep up the pace and quality I’d love to see two 24 ep seasons of Daima for them to really expand on the demon realm and make this a substantial continuation of Z.
Considering we got Super and GT out of Toei freestyling Dragon Ball, that is, without Toriyama actually working on it more than looking at the scripts once, I dunno if I'd wanna see a Daima without Toriyama.
I do wonder how the Glinds took their trees with them. And if there is a Celestial Realm that, much like the demon realm, connects to all the universes and is where the kais are 'distributed' from.
Really really really love with this kind of story and journey of Daima.
Obviously its like JRPG Dragon Quest (AT others works).
Masako, to answer your question about whether the three demon worlds are connected to all universes you might have missed a line of dialogue in the first episode where the gatekeeper at the beginning inquires which Universe they want to go to and they say the 7th.
5:58
I wish the star wars fandom could have gotten the same treatment.
Fingers still crossed Garlic JR will have a mention or a reappearance in this series ngl.
the other z fighters having a moment protecting earth is the biggest thing i want.(could see gohan leading them in his saiyaman outfit/videl as saiyawoman against a army dr. arinsu sends after the dragonballs with how the 2 haven't been seen yet.)
doubt it's fully a common enemy thing as glorio being humbled by goku showing he's not a pushover, love the minotaur(being right out of blue dragon/dragon quest & being voiced by akainu of all people.),the funny use of a poop joke keeping goku from getting caught/pansy(love that she isn't vain like bulma getting along with goku quickly.) decking him with toilet paper, shin's "why?!" pout at seeing the canned bugs & showing toriyama reworking the world showing more of the kai's story(love the worldbuilding here where in z a lot of it was superfluous or didn't mean much outside a flim excuse for action/just being earth again in namek's case.) being born from the world trees(alongside the trees being from there.)in the guidebooks.
Love you masako! Daima is taking me back im loving it 😎
I always love the way you pronounce French words
Lightning from his fingies? Unnatural!
4:48 don't forget he knows slightly about timelines too
This was my favorite episode. Absolutely hilarious 😂
This was right after the battle with majin buu, i didnt think the HBC was fixed yet.
yeah seems glorio's skills are mainly rooted in his marksmanship and his magic with a bit of combat but definitely seems to be better at range
The Minotaur didn't want that smoke
Possible birth origin of Jumbie? That one cool non cannon character demon?
Wow ive arrived before my notification
Nice
i wonder if the namekians becoming the kami of planets was a planned thing. they govern over the planets of the mortal realm while the glinds govern the heavenly realm.
What I wonder is... why does young Popo have horns but adult Popo didn't... or were they hidden by the turban?
Man i love dragonball with all my heart. I just cant get excited about this show. Ill finish it all the way out, but this whole thing has been incredible boring. If youre enjoying it then major props to you and im glad you are, but for me idk i just feel bleh about it lmao.
Goku did use SSJ in the fights so far, but in some instances in the trailer SSJ2 was shown off briefly.
Again, Pansy reminds me of Bulla from the Super Manga. I would love to see this be her personality when she grows up.
Hm, very interesting development it seems, i wonder what’s next and yes, i hope things goes well for this Franchise.
Minotaur wanted food (eat them), not scare them away
Wait, pretty sure Shin said "universe 7" in one of the previous episodes...
You mention Shin not knowing of multiple universes, but in an Older episode ( I think while talking to the King) when saying they're from the outside world, Shin says universe 7.
I completely forgot, but this is before DBS/Beerus/God forms got introduced right?
Yes this story is taking place before Beerus is introduced.
yes
Either straight up before, or an alternate timeline that takes place before.
Maybe they have an opportunity to bring back SSJ4? 🤔
But will the first tamagami in the third world be the 1-star or 3-star ball?
could you do a what if goku decided to train trunks, have home train with king Kai and the like. Just yo give hime a well rounded background before he leaves for the future.
Glorio kinda looks like Mira. Who is a demon king. He might be looking to overthrow Gomah so he can be the new demon king.
That explains why Supreme Kai is a bit of a fruit! 😂
I want Glorio to be Shin's little brother that grew after the other Glins abandoned the Demon World.
Are people actually bored of the show? I'm loving this 100%, this is almost like a reboot of the original Dragon Ball in tone, pacing and sense of adventure. Only with a new story. Honestly so far it's been better than I could've hoped for.
