Yeah I think it would be smarter to charge a small subscription fee or something once it expires or a fee to reactivate it for 3 more years rather than wasting materials and shipping for the customer to get the same ring again.
@@MattRobb It's both an e-waste issue but also a mindset issue. If you get RingPay+ it extends to 4 years, which means they have the means to prolong it but they don't. I was about to buy a ring but since it's engineered to die there's no point.
@armin_tab My dad helped design contactless here in the UK for many big banks and TFL and he mentioned to me they shouldn’t put an expiry and should digitally expire them in their system as it then gives the opportunity to reactivate it in the future which could be implemented in so many different ways.
Thanks for the video. The ring and all the possibilities are nice. The fact that it expires is a bit questionable for me. Since it's nfc, it could run like forever? Thanks again for the video
I am not sure about Mclear but most rings have to expire are the rings themselves are tokens and linked to either Amex, Visa or Amex. At Monesave, our Rjngs are tokenised and linked to a BIN provided by Mastercard so they are forced to retire in three years max. However, we renew them for free, for our active customers. @MattRob - happy to come on board to discuss with your viewers.
I’d message them on Instagram or Facebook and ask them. They are fast to respond to DMs just I don’t want to get your hopes up or provide the wrong info
How does the RingPay Giving work as I see there is 2 choices. Donate the difference to nearest pound on spends or one of donation. Wgat us minimum for one of donation, thanks
That 38 month expiration is a complete deal breaker; it's just forced obsolescence at its worst.

@@MattRobb can you pay with flat hand on reader
It’s finished mate was an amazing item 😅. Closing down.
Has anyone told him they have gone out of business!!!😂
They actually are moving region 🤫
Ripping people of that's why they are moving.
Sir. Video recording available or not

Your videos look fantastic...great content.
Thank you I appreciate it 🧡
Wich company can produce this kind of ring for a fintech
Will this ever come to the us and can I use this in the us if I manage to get one

@@MattRobb thanks I’ll hit them up and see what they say hopefully I can pick one up

What's The daily spend limit? Also is there any limit to spend at once? For example £30 one transaction
It’s in line with the contactless limit. So in the uk it will be £100.
I have a UK address and bank account, but live in Portugal, but I can't see a way this wouldn't work for me.
is it restricted to UK IDs for verification?
How long after purchase til the 10% comes through?
I’m not entirely sure assuming past the return window
They're not available in the U.S. yet. 😢
They actually shut down recently pretty sad
@mattRobb - review Monesave Payment Ring please
Just bought t his via your link. Didn't get the 10% discount.
It comes into your account later once you setup the ring it’s like a cashback
Is it usable in other countries
It needs to be setup in the UK but it will work if you travel abroad with it
@@MattRobb what if i cant come to UK?
They are closing down at the end of October
Yeah very sad it was a good product maybe just poorly implemented and bad marketing
It looks great for what it is and at the price, however, why don’t they roll in sleep, exercise and health. Then it would become a Rolls Royce.
"Rent!"
"Student Loans!"
"Groceries!"
"Car Payment!"
"Insurance!"
"By your powers combined, I am Captain Poverty!"
Look at it this way i will never do business with them again and trust me s lot people feel the same.
At least they are refunding people for the ring purchase
@MattRobb I'm not one of them!!!
How come? As long as your ring isn’t expired they will refund they’ve sent dozens of emails to me about it
How is it a hot take that cash will die out!? Its already died out. People rarely have cash on them now.
Depends what region of the world you’re in. I meant globally but still it’s used a lot on some countries
Such a shame it ends in October 2024 I have one of these and it worked perfectly hope Amazon do a kind of partial refund
With Bitcoin we can still have cash in the future. Digital cash! Peer-to-peer digital payments with a wearable gadget ❤
Work on Android?
They have an app for android and iOS but you don't need your phone on you for it to work.
Sizes??
You can print out a piece of paper and wrap it around your finger to get the right size or if you know your ring size they have a conversion chart
They just announced this ring is now scrap and they are no longer in business
They are offering refunds on the rings though at least
Anyone reading, this ring isn't in the United States yet, your welcome.
Just their latest ring 2, or do none of their rings work in the US?
@andy9775 I don’t think they work in the US yet. I’m in Canada now and they work but they charge a fee because the currency is pounds
Ugh. That sucks. This would be so useful for riding my motorcycle and filling up
Don't buy this ring, they have gone out of business
Only lasts 3 years then useless
You get a discount offer to upgrade plus there's no subscription fee. Most alternatives and premium cards have a subscription fee plus an expiration
Of course David 😅
Sources? 🤔
