I love this. One of my New Years resolutions is to wear a nice outfit every day. It can be causal or Jeans or nicer but no sweats. I have felt so good doing this. I think as we age we get better and one thing we need to do is dress beautifully. 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa

Great video Heather! Yes! The number one rule in my leggings book is "COVER YOUR BUTT!" Lol! I had not thought about purchasing more sturdy or opaque leggings, but you are right.. my leggings have been from spanx so I guess I just took it for granted... remember those kimono's we got back in the spring for summer? They would look great with leggings as well! ( your vest made me think of that) And many of these outfits could be paired with skinny jeans as well if one is not inclined to try leggings.. the look may not be as sleek and chic as what you just showed us, but it is a start! My first outfit before I chose the retro mini dress was my light blue kimono. We seem to always be on the same thought path Cary! Have an amazing weekend !!
I disagree about covering up your butt. Not everyone-even at 50-plus-needs to do this. I’m 68 and over the last year have lost 56 pounds and now weigh 118 at 5’3. I exercise five to six times per week (elliptical and floor/toning exercises), watch what I eat, and no longer need to cover my butt/upper legs with tunics when wearing leggings. I wear stylish, fitted sweaters with them. The trick is to get quality leggings that have nice fabric. I recently purchased some fleece-lined leggings from Lands End (I live in the mountains) that fit beautifully and even have a discreet back pocket for a cell phone. I wear them with a nice ankle boot. It’s a great look and also is sooo comfortable. Again, how you choose to wear leggings depends on your shape and size. Having been significantly overweight for years, I’ve spent a long time shrouding my body, and it feels so liberating not to have to worry about that any longer. Doing the work to lose the weight is very rewarding from an aesthetic and a health perspective, so if you’re thinking about losing some weight, do it! I started one year ago tomorrow -12/7/21-and can’t believe it’s almost been one year.

I love, love, love your videos - I am old enough to be your mother but I still wear leggings - They must be heavy, fitted but not skin tight - I always wear them with high boots and a long top or sweater that covers my butt - Everyone has to dress for their personal body type and I am 5'6" with long legs so it works for me - I will never "Dress My Age" but will never try to look like a 30-year-old either - Thanks for some great looks - Loved the vest - Peace
I love love love leggings/jeggings. They are sooo comfortable. I was injured last year so all I could wear was those. My husband did not approve of them at first but as long as you dress classy and not trashy he's ok with them. Lol. Thanks for the fashion tips ☺️

I dress modestly and wear leggings every day. The tunic top and leggings is something I wear regularly but I slip on a mid calf black skirt as well. Leggings under a jean skirt with a t-shirt. Always with the leggings 😉
I'm going to Minnesota next week so leggings would be good for a base layer. Other than that, I don't wear them because I am a pear shape and even black leggings are not flattering.
Leggings are very useful for certain outfits. I don't feel they have an age barrier. I used to wear them almost everyday. Now it's off & now but have no plans to get rid of them of the ones I have. And you are right: they can be worn all year round. I have a few pairs of fleece lined ones that are much heavier and very comfortable. They have a high yoga top. I save those for winter. I went up a size in them so they wouldn't be tight. I can even wear those as pants. But the thinner kind I would only wear under long tops & dresses.
I have several " not knee length " dresses that look great with the nice leggings, and tall or even short boots. I live where it's coldy and I wear them a lot ... I like to stay warm ! Lol. Great video, thank you for the lovely looks !
I am 57 and wear my hair long and blonde as well. I wear leggings and tunic tops 98% of the time similar to your last option. If I may recommend. Don't wear the black socks /hose with the flats. Bare foot in flats is much trendier. I get why you wear them ( no breaks) but trust me. Its more relaxed looking.

I just bought some new leggings. It’s time to toss my old cheap ones. I just wore my blue ones the other day with a long t shirt. I love leggings. And most of my shirts are a little longer, so they look good with leggings. I love the outfits you put together. I need a poncho. That’s one thing I don’t have in my closet.

I haven’t worn denim jeans for decades & Instead found some really cute “denim look” leggings (everyone says “I love your jeans😜) with a subtle, cream color, vine-like design that I wear a lot, even after 10 years. Otherwise, I have about 5 different pairs of black leggings....😻
The brands I have at amazon.com/shop/awesomeover50 are the ones I wear. I would suggest that you wear a pair of leggings that has a lighter color than your top and these ones do have lighter shades available. Also, look at some of the ones with patterns on them as they will make your legs look larger too. Hope this helps.
Those outfits ARE classy and you look lovely in them! My favorite is the first with the camel coat! I appreciate this because there is nothing worse than a woman in leggings with all her “stuff” showing! Definitely trashy! Ha!
I live in leggings and Catsuits. Im 62, and a size 8/10. I've always kept this size. Being able to flaunt a flat belly, small butts and slim thighs does so much more to your well-being than indulging in cream biscuits. The trick: eat one square meal a day. And I mean it: o n e square meal. And believe me: you will not suffer any hunger attacks after following this regime for two weeks. No fierce workouts are needed, either. I also wear sweat pants once a week to get rid of build-ups. You will feel as good as new after stepping out of them.

I have several " not knee length " dresses that look great with the nice leggings, and tall or even short boots.
I live where it's coldy and I wear them a lot ... I like to stay warm ! Lol.

I am 57 and wear my hair long and blonde as well. I wear leggings and tunic tops 98% of the time similar to your last option. If I may recommend. Don't wear the black socks /hose with the flats. Bare foot in flats is much trendier. I get why you wear them ( no breaks) but trust me. Its more relaxed looking.

I just bought some new leggings. It’s time to toss my old cheap ones. I just wore my blue ones the other day with a long t shirt. I love leggings. And most of my shirts are a little longer, so they look good with leggings. I love the outfits you put together. I need a poncho. That’s one thing I don’t have in my closet.

I haven’t worn denim jeans for decades & Instead found some really cute “denim look” leggings (everyone says “I love your jeans😜) with a subtle, cream color, vine-like design that I wear a lot, even after 10 years. Otherwise, I have about 5 different pairs of black leggings....😻

I have very thin nice legs but I’m so self conscious that they’re too thin. I don’t want to look like Minnie Mouse. Can you recommend a certain brand?
The brands I have at amazon.com/shop/awesomeover50 are the ones I wear. I would suggest that you wear a pair of leggings that has a lighter color than your top and these ones do have lighter shades available. Also, look at some of the ones with patterns on them as they will make your legs look larger too. Hope this helps.

Those outfits ARE classy and you look lovely in them! My favorite is the first with the camel coat! I appreciate this because there is nothing worse than a woman in leggings with all her “stuff” showing! Definitely trashy! Ha!

I live in leggings and Catsuits. Im 62, and a size 8/10. I've always kept this size. Being able to flaunt a flat belly, small butts and slim thighs does so much more to your well-being than indulging in cream biscuits. The trick: eat one square meal a day. And I mean it: o n e square meal. And believe me: you will not suffer any hunger attacks after following this regime for two weeks. No fierce workouts are needed, either. I also wear sweat pants once a week to get rid of build-ups. You will feel as good as new after stepping out of them.

Love my leggings...am 72 and they look great...l always keep my backside covered and am careful about lighter colours as the faults tend to show more

I got rid of all my lighter color ones, which I rarely wore anyway. Only black leggings for me!
