Thank you for sharing it, where I lived we didnt get HST units until Virgin XC started running down the Portsmouth line, when the 15.18 to Blackpool North was run by an HST and that was my very first time travelling on those trains, I miss them, even now they look futuristic despite being made in the 70s
My pleasure.... I remember seeing my first one at Swindon in early summer of 1976, when i was 9 years old. They just looked so different and futuristic, i have liked them ever since! Got my first ride on them that October when BR ran a special fare promotion to celebrate their entry to squadron service. My Dad & I went from Padd to Bristol & back......
Yes, the Valanta's sounded good. I thought they didn't look too bad in red livery, better than the GW all over green, which is very dull & dreary......

I'm loving the old HSTt sounds on the first train.
Proper Valanta thrash!
Great railway video as always Soi Buakhao.
Thank you.....still plenty more to go!
great video mate!
Thank you, lots more to come......
Happy days. Cabbed many a locomotive in the bay where 37095 parked up. Mainly the late 90's and early noughties.
A few rust patches on 37095. It was withdrawn at the beginning of 1999, which doesn't look too surprising
The engineers pool locos were all past their prime!
Don't care for the Virgin livery, particularly the carriages, but liked the sounds coming from it.

@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus yeh I was harsh on Richard's paint scheme. It's alright. Certainly creative on the carriages.
I think it was one of the best since good ol' blue and grey. Looked great on 47s and 86s
BR's saviour.... The HST
Yes, and some are still hard at work happily!
The fall of BR
Yes, this was the start of all the chaos.....
Always looks odd with buffers. Also no-one interested in that open and unsecured door.
It's all right, that was the guard's door, which he shut as it moved off
@@AndreiTupolev OK. Thanks.
