Since I began my locs 7 years ago (Feb 2014), I have relied on a loctitian (mi nuh able), _but_ she has never washed my hair nor has anyone else. The morning of every re-twist (every 4 months), I wash my hair; that, at least, I can manage. 😅 I love the fuzzy, new-growth/growing-in look; a fresh re-twist has its appeal, but I feel most "me" with the lionness edge . . . Your mane is stunning.
I've been following your channel for a few months and I just want to say thank you for the content you create, especially for us UK girls . I'm starting my locs on Sunday, I can't wait!
@@SisterSoko it's going really well actually! Had my first proper retwist a few days ago, after my own attempt failed but I'm determined to learn how to do it myself. Excited to see how they look a year from now
Your locs are Beautiful, I have locs, been 6 months, I love every stage and don't care what other people think, it all about loving yourself, no one's else opinion matters ❤
Oh wow they look gorgeous. Maybe consider using a moisturizing shampoo after the neutrogena. But that Design Essentials conditioner is the truth. I can see myself using it maybe once a season to avoid conditioner build up. But my starters aren't even a week old, so that's way off for me :)
LOVE 💖 your hair and appreciate your journey! Your hair is so similar to mine and watching you has helped me to persevere (2 yrs in Aug '21). But wondering... When it comes to your new growth and any frizz-do you just continue to do a regular retwist OR do you/have you used any "tightening" methods (eg: interlocks or crochet)? Thanks for your time!
I just bought leave in conditioner to try out on my locs, my first year i used baby shampoo which is super drying, so i bought a clear leave in conditioning spray to try
Your locs are absolutely beautiful!! I just have one question; if you started them in September of 2016, wouldn't you be 4 years and 8 months right now and this coming September 5 years?
Hi, lovely locs. Just a quick one, where do you get a loctitian in the UK? I am so desperate for someone to do my hair. I started my loc journey in 2018 while I was visiting my family in Zimbabwe. Have been retwisting myself but I want someone to do it for me. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance x
You have such beautiful locs they are ideal I just started my loc journey 2 days ago and have been looking for a good shampoo, upon researching the neutrogena one i found that it has DMDM hydantoin which may cause hair loss, tresemme is currently being sued because they use this ingredient in their shampoo and people have been claiming it is causing them to loose hair. Are you worried about this ?

She posts videos filmed a while ago. She mentioned this in the written info section of a previous video. This video is over a year old.
@@chxchx ooh, okay. Thanks for the clarification 😄
@@chxchx a whole year old though? Lol

If you ever need me to send it to you from NY, let me know.
So kind! Thank you!
Hii what’s the longest you’ve stayed without re-twisting
If I remember correctly it’s about 3 or 4 months x
@@SisterSoko thanks it actually what I’m trying now
Wait you said sep 15 2016? That would make it 4.5 years not 3.5..
Based on when this was filmed it’s correct x
@@SisterSoko was it filmed a year ago?
Yes it was filmed a year ago x
