- Randi Fishenfeld and Teresa Flores perform "Orange Blossom Special" during the Klezmer Company Orchestra's Spirit of America Concert, June 28, 2009.
The Klezmer Company Orchestra (KCO) was founded by Aaron Kula in 1997 with a mission to perform world music from a wide range of cultures and historical periods from Florida Atlantic University Libraries Special Collections & Archives. KCO has successfully taken music in the collections literally from shelf to stage. KCO, the professional ensemble-in-residence at FAU Libraries, features accomplished jazz and classical musicians. Similar to classical orchestras and jazz ensembles, KCO features core soloists with section musicians; orchestra personnel vary depending on the repertoire of each concert. This popular ensemble has performed its unique ethnic orchestral jazz before thousands at sold-out concerts, received critical acclaim for its innovative musical fusion and recently released its studio-produced debut album, Beyond the Tribes. For additional information on KCO, visit www.klezmercompany.com.

Have had the privilege of seeing her perform over 100x over 31 yrs, the best I have ever seen(apologies to McCartney and Springsteen) Love you Randi!
💥BRAVO!💥 Delightful nod to J S Bach and others nicely done! Much appreciated, too 💥GREAT 🎻SHOW🎻 WOMAN!💥 Congrats and best wishes to all involved! 🌈 🥸 🤗
Bravura performance
No matter how many videos I see of this song, the one thing I see the most is everyone involved, is truly enjoying this experience!!!
This gal had a ton of fun. Thanks so much
I literally can’t stop listening to this 😂
WOW ! ... That was AWESOME !
MARAVILHOSO !!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That fiddle player is the best I've ever seen 😍
OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! That was so awesome!
Wow !
FANTASTIC SO WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO EVER EVER EVER HEAR ANYTHING ELSE!
Still awesome
Awesome
Ever notice how great it sounds and looks someone always has a negative comment who cares if it took a while getting to the MEAT of the song or had on chaps. Like for myself I enjoyed it. All of it !!
So exciting ! ! !
Einfach super toll, mit nichts zu vergleich........................
Outstanding !
Fantastic musical performance !
outstanding...
She doesn't play it exactly like you're used to hearing it, so it can't be any good, right? Expand your horizons, people! She had so much *fun* doing this, as did about half of the orchestra. Did you notice how the women in the orchestra were loving it, laughing out loud, while the men sat there all stolid and sober, projecting "How dare this woman sully the dignity and seriousness of our orchestra with this...this...*fun* stuff!"
Like Doug Kershaw w/ more talent.
Nice “theatrics “ really admire the orchestra and band leader for complimenting the fidlr
👌💐🙏
Fantastic
They Had fun with that one !
Fun ees da name of dis number, ja!!
What really amazed me is the great rythm this lady has, you can tell by the way she moves on stage that she knows music. I loved it
Oh my goodness. Great fiddle!
Lotsa fun!
Spectaculaire
This girl is Mark O'Connor influenced, the beginning is something he would play.
It takes a steam locomotion a long time to get up to speed! Then try to stop one. Love the mix.🤣🤪❤️👍
Nicely put! 👌💐🙏
Sensuous with knobs on.😮
That young lady on the violin is great!
That's called a "Fiddle" here.
@@nemethr46 Beat me to the comment, Ron.
Superb!!!
Give the guys a chance!
Superb.
saw that thang!
I heard some Vivaldi 4-seasons there as well!
Great rendition of a classic Americana number! Now, how do I get my foot to stop tapping?
Awwwwwwsome
Don't know about the western motif but love the hair & leather!
And a damn good version!
She’ll never replace Rebecca Thumber...
WOWZA!!!!
If the devil ever goes down to Georgia and meets you he will have his hands full....
I
Ugh.. the typical casual... “Can you play The devil went down to Georgia Bro???” Me: “ yes, but I won’t. I can play the Tchaik violin concerto for you on the spot though. Would you appreciate that?” 🤦🏻♂️
Nice medley
Oh my God!
Hell ya!!!!
vom feinsten❤️🍻
Randi, dear Randi and all you in this inspired and totally engrossing musical assembly where have you been? Been years since i have been at one of your concerts, and sending me your music over the waves has brought a bright, tuneful, and glorious moment to my day. Thank You Thank You
Talento incopiável! Parabéns.
Some good fiddle playin’ .
I don’t know if OBS originally had an intro like that, but if you’ve ever watched and listened to a steam locomotive struggle to start moving that section captures it well.
I love Copland
Yeah! Adagios are my favorite, too......
Wow
That fiddle player looks and acts like she should be dancing on a bar at Sturgis.
Think I heard a bit of Bach at 1:55-2:10
Loved it and her
Q bonito!
Nice
Вот он ,какой ДУХ АМЕРИКИ то.

Verrrrrry interesting. Und gut.
To borrow from my hero, Carl's, son, Rob, ...., whatever she drinks before a performance, I'll have what she's having!
Umiejętności i kreatywność.

Pass on this.
1st chair violinist can't stop laughing 😁🤔

The rage -orange blossom special
Fabulous
Shiny hair.
Calm down, everyone! Try remember, yrigado123, that "fiddle" is different from classical violin, and that what you hear is flavored by a sound system. That being said, I hope other comments will focus on the video rather than someone who doesn't even know how to post a proper critique!
City slickers.
Is music for to share or to show?
and Kavouksorian!
Why is the conductor waving his wand. No one is playing anything but the woman.
@yrigado1
Ah, yrigado1, I have struggled with many replies and removed them because I can't seem to find one that rises to the level of your genius, wisdom and omnipotence. After all, how does one follow a person/god-like presence, such as you, who has the ability and deep wisdom to post other people's card tricks (a sure sign of the highest level of talent). Thank you, all-knowing one. For you have shown me the error of my ways. I remain grateful for your most valued critique.
Randi; As a former fiddle player who could have likely had a music career, you young lady need apologize to no one. My biggest regret is having given up way too soon. Therefore I admire not only your musical ability, but also your Stage presence and showmanship; priceless musicianship!!

Fiddle, violin. Essentially the same instrument it just depends on what genre is being played on it..
michael naretto I bet this group had a blast performing this song
Oh, No .. the difference in a fiddle and a violin is...The violin has STRINGS ....the fiddle has STRANGS.
The difference is, one you don’t mind spilling beer on.
technicality. Orange Blossom Special is a bluegrass piece(appalachia-Kentucy/Tennesse), not western. sundress and a straw hat or daisy dukes might have been more apropos than western wear...that said, far be it from me to complain about the chaps and leather vest/bustier
Have to admit Cowgirls had the panache, style and kept me seated. Next to worst ever.
I don't know what 4 minutes of that was but it was not I ,repeat was not The Orange Blossom Special
Brackets
This causes sweat between the thighs
Get on with it then!
Why is it so out of focus?
Damn it Boy!!
O'Connor/Bach cit. !
The beginning took too long to get to the meat of the song and the 'washboard' is better suited to New Orleans style music. Other than that, it was ok. I agree with what Paupers Budget said...

Can I buy a DVD?
Melos
Is she playing a fiddle or violin?
Same thing according to a Google search. The difference is simply the type of music played on them.
