    That is a nice power supply , 20 amps is desirable and the good thing about SMPS that can yield high amps are cheaper than the ship anchors that are so heavy .... As you know I have a 30 volt and 10 amp SMPS and I love it especially the color of the display ....Ice blue white is what I call it ..... The one setback to the SMPS is the filtering , they generate noise , mine isn't so bad but I am going to order some quality Rubycon caps and hike up on the uF's department ..... Not so much though....There's a limit on that ...... I am so used to using a linear regulated supply that I never worried about noise , but I can tell there is some on my Wanptek ......Eddy has one like mine and put it thru the scope after each cap change and finally got to the sweet spot , it was clean corn after that....... If Nice - Power comes out with a Ice Blue display I might jump on a 20 amp.... Take Care Mon Ami ..

      Yes I agree it's a balancing act less heat more efficient but more noise with the switch modes but it's all about filtering on them for sure that is why I went with a lab quality supply much cleaner via better filtering, I still have an old transformer 35amp I keep for back up LOL...

      @@TheElectronMan Yep I have a 7 amp Tripp-Lite , and a Ray Jefferson 3 or 4 amp with built in speaker , those 2 just don't have enough a$$ to kick those export radios at full power , I had a 35 amp in my radio shop when it got broke into , luckily I had a 15 amp at my house for a spare ... They got away with a lot of stuff , Frequency counter , new export radios , amps , rolls of coax , Francis antennas 5.5 footers , Mr. Jiggs noise toys and reverbs , those were clean sounding , LT-2 reverb-echo boards , roger beeps already converted to roger farts , I would make those up ahead of time , since I was installing so many , heck I would order 100 Road Runner roger beeps at a time , my buddy that helped me come up with those farts would order 100 at a time also , so that made 200 ordered in one lick.....He owned his own trucks also and he would make a load going to Baton Rouge or New Orleans area and stop at my shop on the way back and pick his stuff up.... He couldn't get his stuff wholesale until he got his business license .....

      @@cajuncoinhunter Man I hate thieves with a passion if it isn't yours leave it alone.. They have got me a couple times but not near as bad as what you got stolen that is why I now have 6 camera's and an alarm on my shop as well I make it real apparent that it's all active. Worst break in I had at my shop was they got in and broke open my safe smartly I always leave a little cash out front and I had the rest hidden way in the back behind a book so they got loose cash but they didn't get the big part still felt totally violated. I am really picky these days who I even let in and I always make sure my 9mm is obvious as well as the camera displays...

    At 3.6 volt 20 amp is possible

    • @TheElectronMan
      @TheElectronMan  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes but you have to use the high amperage post on the back of the unit the front posts are only rated to 5amps.
