FIGHTING MAGIC: Here are a few basic tips: 1. Recite Surah al-Baqarah in your house once a week. You can do it in one sitting or break it up over a few days. The Prophet (SAW) told us that it expels shaytan from the house. 2. Guard your 5-daily prayers by praying on time. 3. Try to remain as much as possible in a state of wuzu. If you use the washroom, make wuzu again (keeping yourself pure as much as you can). 4. Do your daily zikr after each prayer or even otherwise. Especially at night before sleeping, recite Ayat al Kursi, plus the 4 Quls plus last 2 verses of Surah al Baqarah. 5. Do taubah from any major or minor sins. Allah (SWT) tells us in the Qur'an that our troubles are linked to our sins. So if we give up sins, our troubles too will disappear. 6. Have a cup of warm water (not very hot) with 2 spoons of honey and 7 Kalonji seeds every morning. There is SHIFA in both honey and Kalonji. 7. If you feel that you are experiencing the effects of magic, have 7 Ajwa dates every morning also. The Prophet (SAW) told us that whosoever has 7 of these dates in the morning, magic or poison will not affect him for that day. I hope that helps in-sha'Allah. If he writes a taweez, asks you not to open it or put it somewhere else 5. Recites unclear incantations (Surah At-Takasur more likely) 6. Gives you a square in which lines and numbers and pentagons are made 7. If he asks you to be in a dark room, and not talk to people for 3 or 5 days 8. If he instructs you not to touch water for 3 days etc. (Christian jinns) 9. Asks you to bury something in the ground or burn it in front of your house/gate. 10. If he informs you your name, your town etc. (claims to know the unseen). May Allah save us all as nothing happens in this world happens without His will. Here is the Ruqyah that you can recite: 1. Surah Al Fatihah (3x times) 2. Ayat ul kursi (3x times) 3. Last three Surah's of the Qur'an. (3x times each surah) 4. Bismillah Hillazee La Yadurru Ma'smihee Shae Un Fil Ardi Wala Fis Sama-ee Wahuwasamee-ul-Aleem. (3x times) (reference from Sahih Bukhari and Mufti Menk video on Ruqyah) 5. Aouzo Bikalimatilla Hitaamaati Min Sharri Ma Khalaq (3x times) (reference from Sahih Muslim and Mufti Menks video on Ruqyah). The Ruqyah is not protection but HEALING from jinn or any sort of magic and evil eye. The Ruqyah must be recited after Fajr and after Maghrib.

So don't put your trust in such things. Trust Allah alone. He is sufficient. And follow the guidance of Allah and His messenger. @Shaurya Joshi Actually that is a huge sin so you can't exactly say 'nothing wrong with that' by yourself. It's actually good that he/she regrets it and asks for forgiveness for Allah. If they did that before knowing it was wrong, In sha Allah Allah may forgive them.
