What's really cool is that the loading screen is not a cinematic, it's all realtime. You can tell beacuse depending on where you drop the background and camera angle could be different. This game is absolutely phenomenal.
I feel like the only thing that could make it better would be if they didn't have that fade to black and the camera just seamlessly adjusted to the view of you landing.
I wouldn't doubt that helldivers installed extra strength ventilation on the ships so they can blow their capes in the wind for morale, all while this is on loop
The Destroyer Orbit area and Helldive loading screen are also dynamically populated, so if you drop onto a planet with a lot of active players, there’ll be a bunch of other pods in the background dropping with you, and loads of Destroyers in orbit alongside your own while you’re aboard your ship.
It's my head cannon that all the ships have giant speakers that blast this, so that the enemies below on the planet can hear it, and when they look up, they just see all of our hell pods and an godly amount of heavy ordinance coming down at them. I picked a landing zone a few days ago that was heavilty criticized by my teammates. We landed directly on top of the enemy objective, destroying it instantly.

Never have I heard a more Heroic like music before. Absolutely epic and I always think of a fact that there is hundreds of other ships with real players diving for Super Earth too... so many squads, its just amazing. It really feels like a war.

I came here to say exactly this. You can even hear some thematic cues to Klendathu in the music. Plus, of course, the over the top satirical atmosphere. Honestly for any fan of cinema, video games and science fiction, Starship Troopers should be required viewing.

Not gonna lie at first i've read "People of Angel's Venture, hear me; we have come here to obliterate you..." and i was like "hold the fuck up wha?" And then i read it again and i made sense xD
There's a bittersweetness to this as, underneath all the bravado and triumph, these helldivers are very likely going to die... ...Probably because one of them called in an orbital while danger close.
I think what I love most about this sequence is that the backdrop changes depending on how many players are orbiting the planet, planets that have a lower player base have less destroyers in the distance, and one time I was one of the first to drop, I was the ONLY visible thing on screen, no destroyer or shells in sight, truly the first into hell

Last mission we did we dropped in within firing range of an Automaton mortar battery without knowing it, which was also covered by AA emplacements denying our airstrikes. We needed that extra motivation boost before landing.

I'm waiting for the Illuminate (or advanced alien enemies) so I can pretend I am an ODST against the Covenant. Against the Terminids I pretend to be a Federation Trooper from Starship Troopers or a Stormtrooper from Warhammer 40000. Against the Automatons I pretend I am a Clone Trooper from Star Wars. I am just missing an enemy that makes me feel like a Space Marine from 40k, where I am fighting something like the Orks or Chaos.
This is by far the most atmospheric loading screen in my opinion. I love the fact they added in the other hellpods dropping in the background. It makes it feel like you're actually fighting a war that has soldiers getting deployed into the field.

This is the most exhilarating soundtrack when you're dropping to a planet... truly a marvel movie vibe and gets you mentally prepared to reign down democracy on them bugs n' bots!
this sound hypes me up for a long 30 minutes of getting teamkilled by my friend Barry who seemingly doesn't understand that I'm not cluster-bomb proof.
I swear to god, the loading screen while dropping is unironically one of my favourite part of the whole game. You can FEEL the Democracy surging trough you with that soundtrack.
My game keeps crashing, and stops me from doing my duty as a fighter for Super Earth, I hope they find a fix soon. But I'll never get tired of hearing this theme.
They need to make a Strategem that drops in and speakers fly up with flag rising blasting this anthem to the whole area. When deploying, your character would shout, “BRINGING IN LIBERTY AND DEMOCRACY”

I'll say that HD1's theme kinda beats HD2 in this aspect. Its music just has that a more triumphant and proud oomph.
You should listen to Klendathu drop, from the starship trooper ost. Definitely inspired helldiver, and is an incredible music
