The guy was fast and records from his book show he was practicing arm bars, rear naked chokes, kesakatame (dominant judo position, and old school peeps said he would train double leg takedowns for hours. There's also pictures of him training with resistance bands for explosive plyometrics, something that only became popular in the early 2000s - 2010s. Was way ahead of his time
He was so fast because of the practice he did and he created his own fighting style and his training and exercises are different from others... Directors asks Bruce Lee to slow down his speed because the cameras in 1960s can't capture his moves... No CGI or nothing, that's why he is called Bruce Lee the Legend !!
Facts- his fastest kick was 94 mph (6 per second). His punch was 118 mph (9 per second). Even though he weighed only 145lbs, they measured his power to be equal to Muhammad Ali.
In the 80s, I was trying to learn some new moves with my nunchuks. I played my Bruce Lee VCR tape in slow mo, but his hands were still too fast to follow what he was doing.
You want to see speed? Watch Lee’s 2 matches in Enter The Dragon. 1st with O’Hara(the guy with the scar)-you can only see his backfist(3rd punch)in SLO-MO! 2nd his fight with Hahn-the last battle-there’s a kick thrown that will absolutely blow your minds… And remember, what you see was slowed down for the cameras of the day… Love that your reactions are genuine not "faked"; really enjoy your videos! You also might want to check out Bruce Lee vs The Guards, Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee vs Japanese Dojo.
Bruce Lee was the true chosen one by God to bring the world kung fu! Nobody did it better than Bruce Lee! That man was superhuman! Lightning fast! Truly a legend all around the world! Even to this day he is still the greatest of all time! Definitely miss him. He did alot in the short time he lived. He will forever be remembered! R.I.P. Mr. Bruce Lee! 😁🙏🏻☯️☯️☯️ Be water my friend! 💧😉
You guys are hilarious 😅😂 im 54 years old im black belt and i lived with and for Bruce Lee he is still today an inspiration for me and the way i live my life. He is still the greatest and his spine was broken one time and he surpassed that he was the meaning of the smooth and calm water and the strenght of waterfalls.
As for the speed, i would say i am as fast as Bruce Lee - and thats not even "special" in itself ... you can train that speed from ping pong over years (thats one of the fastest sports). But the difference is: my punches are weak xD .. Bruce was not only fast, but strong also. To have that speed AND that force and that precision, and the right timing and technique - thats what makes him super human. Specific things of Bruce Lee others can have too. For instance: his strengths others have too. Or is speed, etc ... But the point really is: to have all of that combined... That whats so rare!
Bruce Lee was very talented but at the same time his abilities are exaggerated by standard stage tricks and practices. The first thing to keep in mind is that he is already fairly fast due to his specific method of exercise which is about staying lean but not bulking up. Second is that most of his displays are scripted. Third is the trick of the camera. Many of these routines are deliberately done too fast. They fail many times but it doesn't matter. You only need to capture it once on camera. On top of that the movies are routinely simply sped up. This is a very common trick where you do a routine at normal speed but record it at half speed then play it as though normal speed doubling the speed. You're slowing down a sped up video at least once here.
Yeah Bruce Lee trained really hard and tortured himself to get that fast and powerful they said that he and his day and even compared to people today was considered to be the fastest man on Earth not the flash type of running fast but his limbs in swinging fighting kicking very quick I would have to say if the flash new martial arts it would look similar to Bruce Lee
O man beerdy Bruce lee channel is known for making stuff up the point is Bruce lee was the best and didn't need people like beerdy making stuff up muddying the water so to speak
@@theman0110it's not a real footage of bruce lee. People who believe in that are laughable. That footage is an ad made by nokia for phone commemorating lee. The actor is a lee look-alike, the ball is cgi and sounds from an actual pingpong match were used as sound effects. Nokia had several ads for the phone - pingpong/nunchucks and nunchucks/cigarette
@GDCDGC Whatever you want to believe man. Part of me thinks you don't believe it's real just because you think Bruce Lee is overrated in general, but You can believe what you want just don't push your opinions on other people Who actually believed that He was extremely talented.
