This guy is a bit hyper naturally it seems, but I still enjoy watching his videos because it reminds me of why I started playing guitar when I was 12, and still playing at 60. Playing is so much fun and this guy obviously plays because of how much he enjoys everything about playing guitar. I love what he says about "it's in the hands." All the killer sounds he's getting with just the guitar and amp. Great singer as well and a walking encyclopedia of licks and tunes.

I absolutely love the les paul junior a timeless axe and yes it would be worth a few bucks these days. I've got a strat it's an artist brand with trevor wilkinson single coil pickups. I'm a lefty so my budget was pretty tight but I've had it set up by a guitar tech here in taylors lakes melbourne australia and I'm pretty happy with it cheers

It took working in the music industry to understand what he was talking about but it’s true, I’ve heard the JR so many times and to this day it’s still one of the best sounding guitars I’ve ever heard, the guitar can literally do anything you want it to do, just all about what you put into it, FYI in case you wanted to know that’s a P90 baseplate he’s wearing around his neck 😂
That P-90 is a BEAST! You can get a lot more out of that pickup and that guitar than one would think is possible. My uncle has a 1960 double cutaway that is amazing sounding. I've begged him to sell it to me, his price set, but he always says no and claims that when he dies, that guitar is going to be buried with him. So I play that guitar as long as I can every time I visit him.

My brother bought one of those in a pawn shop for $60.00 in Orlando, Fl. in the late 60s. Thanks for explaining why it was called a TV model. This guitar was the same as the one my brother had.

Totally! when working the volume knob on the guitar you can get way more shades of tone than you'd get when A/B'ing two amps for just a drive or a clean amp.
Good video to show off a 1959 Les Paul Junior, I bought one new in 1959 but is the red color like the one hanging up to the right. Still love this guitar.
Had a '61 for a short time. Cherry red and a p90 that was so vocal it would pick up the phone and order pizza for you. Sold it at the 94 Nashville show for WAY too little. Wish I still had it. Didn't see the benefit of a solo pickup guitar back then. Regrets,,.....
