Hey! Unrelated to this vid but just wanted to say thanks, youre tech consulting interview video series were a massive help for me getting a big 4 tech consulting offer as an ISE!
hey , Christine and i am from India make sure to make a video how you get a job in google , process of it , where do you study means which website do you prepare for google so, that's my questions
@@potato4495 well my original office was actually Hudson 315. Previous to that it was in 8510 and previous to that was Chelsea and 9th Ave, no choice because they try to keep teams and business units together.
Sorry, unfortunately we’re able to do that unless it’s with a group Google works with. I’m not familiar with that. The tour is pretty much what the video shows!
I noted the flexible workstations. What does it take to get an office with a door? Is that only for people at a certain level or are they assigned to staff who need to reach out externally on a regular basis as part of their job?
It’s all decided by the individual neighborhoods! Though usually it’s the directors that get it due to the privacy of their work, but it’s agreed within the neighborhood. Everyone in this building pretty much reach out externally which is why the building is built to serve clients!
Bonjour, Je suis une enseignante québécoise (Canada) qui aimerait beaucoup visiter le Terminal St-John’s avec 6 étudiants du collège. Comment faire ? Merci
Hi, why the St John’s Terminal specifically? You can visit a Canadian office instead and you have to work with a local Googler to bring you in as a guest either socially or the Googler needs to plan educational programming. The office is very strict with loosely bringing guests in.
@melaniefournier9114 wish you best of luck! That seems like a very great retreat! I would say the recommendation is to reach out to recruiters and pitch it as a great idea to work with great talent. My only issue is that it may not be that ideal for recruiters to work with non-US prospects so the pitch may not hold well. But in an ideal way, it would be a win-win so it would also be in their best interest. I think if you reached out to Canadian companies with offices in NY or companies in NY that have strong ties to Canada, that can help! You can also work with school alumni that reside in New York and ask for their companies to help out!
We of course work! The video of course is not going to show the workspace area that often because I’m not allowed to and it wouldn’t make sense to show people working if the point is to give you a tour. Plus, that risks showing what’s on their screens. Just because people aren’t on a computer doesn’t mean they aren’t working. It could be with a client or colleagues having an in person meeting.
Hope you enjoyed the tour! Let me know what’s your favorite part of the office! Mine has to be the views! 😻
Seria incrível poder fazer uma visita.
Você sabe se liberam pelo menos o terraço?
Sou do Brasil, mas vou a NYC na próxima semana.

@user-oo5ic6fx8c let me know if there are any other videos you think I should make!
@@ChristineWong yeah sure
Great video! Are y’all given a choice to move in the new office or stay in 9th ave?

We can float around but there is a requirement to be in our home office on average 3 days a week.
Is there office tour program in Google NY? I really want to visit there!! : )
For non-Googlers? Unfortunately no. It’s a workplace still. Googlers can give tours to their own guests though.
Hello i am a passionate hogh school student in NYC, is there a way i can visit this and take a tour perhaps, is there a form i need to fill out?

@mussazeb4556 you should consider internships when you go to college then!
@@ChristineWong I will try but it won't be easy though, thank you for your advice!
I wish you best of luck, but it IS possible if you set your mind to it!

Being a big foodie, I’d probably stuff my face with every food I see
That was me at first! They don’t change the menu that often though so it does get old.
What the hell do these people do. It looks like all they do is eat.
