Well I see your located in Pennsylvania. Smack dab in the heavy snow belt. I imagine you get a fair amount. I'm in New Brunswick Canada and we have our bad winters. the last one was unbelievably mild. Only two feet of snow total. We had a doe one winter with a front leg off at the knee joint. Fall hunting mishap I figured. She got around pretty good for a while. I don't know if she survived the whole winter. But your deer with it being the hind leg is much more difficult for her to manage. More weight for the other good leg to support. If you were in Florida I would say yes she 'could' be ok...but winter will be too much for her. And I imagine you have coyotes as well. So there you go. Cycle of life!
Our winters have also been fairly mild last couple of years… I feel we are due for a bad one. This area is surrounded by big plots of old farmland/ woods, but also near a small town depending which direction you go. I thought the same with the coyote we do have them… but oddly none on the trail cam yet. I appreciate you commenting 🤝🏾
@@OurWildBackyard Been watching the news videos of the lake effect snow storms you are experiencing. Your worst fears have been confirmed I'm sorry to see. Man.. what a pile of snow! We have 3 inches here now and the suns out. And I just checked the satellite pictures on my weather network and you guys still have more coming well into tomorrow!! Unbelievable!!! Stay safe on the highways! 🙏
@@OurWildBackyard So Glad to hear that! These areas are in a bad location for sure. Hopefully you will get a warm spell later on that will melt it all. I think it was last winter that they got pummeled and then it all melted. Then they got some more later. Thanks for the reply.. and once again take care! 😊

@@nbmooselovers I'm just a little south of Erie so not nearly the snow like they are experiencing... but it has been very windy and very cold. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
